I am sure Amy said somewhere that she had arranged for JB to have better dances for him towards the end because she thought he could get to the final (with her obvs!) Perhaps she laid down the law to the producers
I don’t think it has been made obvious before that there is an order for the whole series

This is really interesting. I have not yet listened to their podcast, but will do later.

In the past it has always been projected that the pros know the dance a couple of weeks in advance, but they don't tell the celebs. The big reveal on the results show is therefore a farce. How can they not share the information with the celebs when they work so closely?

So again it is deceiving for the viewers to think that the pros only have limited time to choreograph. Along with that they have the music, to choose the best part of the song, to re-jig and change the beat or rhythm for the respective type of dance, then has to send that to the Musical Director Dave Arch to arrange with the band and singers.

Strictly is a whole big operation, as many of the celebs have indicated on their leaving speeches. To get this live show to screen is no mean feat, much of it is planned and strategised to the hilt ...... seemingly even the order in which the celebs will be evicted.

The magic of it is slowly being eroded, especially in the last couple of years when the judges have been more and more transparently so biased.

I feel, if you like Pete and would like to see him in the final, he does need your vote so you should vote for him. If he's in a dance off he's toast (even a hypothetical one against Chris). But he has a chance to make it to the final through public vote now, I think.

Yes I do actually thinking I could vote for Pete. I enjoy seeing Montell dance, but as for the remaining couples I feel there’s a genuine connection (not necessarily romantic!) between Pete and Jowita, and he’s embraced the experience. I think I can relate too in that I’m not a naturally smiley person, but I’m not unhappy, I’m smiling on the inside, and don’t like taking myself seriously. And I love dogs!

I kind of feel bad for Amy, must be deflating seeing, reading and hearing that JB is a changed person (dancer) for the better since being with Lauren.

I didn't watch live this week so already knew his score when I watched JB's dance and was shocked, I thought he had absolutely no swivel at all

I didn't enjoy it at all. Thought he looked too clumpy and heavy, a dance that didn't suit him.

Mind you, Layton and Nikita's Charleston from last year is one of my favourite dances from SCD so I may be biased.

I felt like that last year when Nigel left. I know it was because of injury but like Jamie, they were harsher on him as well than others and they would have cut his journey short in exactly the same way given the opportunity. I know they won’t, but I hope the BBC look at the different social media platforms and take note what the majority of people are saying about the judges. At this stage I think their egos are totally out of control and they all need a wake up call. Who are any of them to make people feel like tit and lose confidence in themselves? I’ve watched it every year and always said the only reason I’d stop is if Fakey Quickenden got on (if you know, you know ) but if they don’t make changes to the judging panel next year, ie Shirley especially out, I’ll be switching off anyway.

Surely as a dancer yourself you would be bigging people up especially people that aren't dancers you would be chuffed they are learning your skill

The dance world was so very harsh - when I worked in it, someone didn’t get a job because they had been seen shopping at a low class supermarket and therefore was thought not to have the right connections. Then someone, wasn’t appropriate because they had chunky thighs and knees and looked too middle aged, this was many many years ago though. When I think back I was asked to do things that weren’t right.

What do you like about him! Genuinely curious as I know he is popular so have tried to like him but it’s not happened

Physically I like tattoos, long haired guys who ride motorbikes. He also loves dogs and is just a nice guy, I listen his podcast and have also heard him interviewed and he's a family guy who loves his mum and nan. He doesn't take himself too seriously and has quite a dry sense of humour.

Even leaving aside the fact that Vito is an equal-opportunity kisser, it is quite touching and bizarre that there are Joe Sugg fangirls out there still going to war on his behalf, after 6 years with Dianne..

Aw, I just caught up with the main dances from Saturday and it was a really disappointing show all round. I was gutted Chris didn't seem to get his head around the body shaping, I was so looking forward to his Paso. It wasn't anywhere near as good as I thought it could be

None of the dances were particularly good or memorable this week, which is poor this far into the competition.

I really wish Montell was with Kai. She should not be in the dance off all the time, it's ridiculous.

They are so odd, they have been convinced for ages that they are having an affair, glad to see they still think that - they could be throuple (sorry for that image). I could actually see Vito in throuple.

Out of everyone that’s left I think the one I would like to see win the most is JB and I NEVER thought I would have said that a few weeks ago.

Tasha is an exceptional dancer but comes across so boring, she’s not exciting to watch.

Sarah has absolutely no personality she’s like a wind up toy or something.

Montell just won’t win and I think that’s because she’s never had a wow moment, her CC was amazing but I forget it in amongst everything else this year.

Chris is absolutely amazing and definitely an inspiration but if he wins it won’t be for dancing.

Pete is my favourite without a shadow of a doubt he’s just a diamond and I love everything about him including how hard he’s trying but he is the weakest dancer. I really want him to be in the final.

So that leaves JB…he was held back by Amy and her crazy eyes or boring, twee choreography and now he’s broken free he seems to be having so much fun and really showing his personality and it would serve those mats who benched Lauren (and Carlos and Kai) right!!

The week Pete’s awful Cha Cha song was revealed, he’d already recorded a podcast talking about it four days before! Similarly, the name of his showdance song was bleeped out on today’s podcast so that has already been decided well before the finalists have been. The celebs already know what’s coming but that doesn’t make for entertaining TV.

He talked about knowing from the start that the CC wouldn’t be until week eight so the pros know the dances from the beginning. What I’d love to know is how much input the pros have into it all.
