And again what is Michelle doing on a Saturday?! New Dad's Neil and Gorka are there, mid scandal Gio is there, Amy is there but she's not been there at all. What's the point having her as a pro and not an extra like Jake? No other benched pro over the years has not been there on a Saturday, Luba, Jowita, Lauren, Chloe, Cameron, Nadiya, Nancy, Gorka and obviously Neil.

Why wouldn't they be though? It's their job to be there.

The fact that they are new dads is irrelevant, imo. I don't know any job where guys would be told it's okay not to turn up because they have new babies at home.

I know Day Varch slashes the songs to bits to fit the time limit but it's a bit much having to cut out the chorus. May as well not do the song at all.
So why choose one that has "fame f*cker" in the chorus.

I s'pose they will just repeat "blood sucker."

So Zara’s dance apparently involves a hot tub and some skeletons. And Graz has had to shave his beard off for it.

NGL, when Zara gets voted out I’m really going to miss her on account of the backstage tidbits her mum posts.

I have enjoyed these as well, it is interesting to see the backstage prep.

I think they did, you know. I'm pretty sure they did something dancewise after the tour, possibly charity related? Can't quite remember, and she definitely went and saw him in Big. Lots of pics of them all socialising and they appeared in touch on SM. But then, life moves on, I suppose.

I often got the impression she was more protective of him. I used to think she knew more about him than he was publicly open about.

Weird fact - Jay's dad used to read and occasionally post in his DS appreciation thread.

Awe that's nice to know. The dad thing is a bit weird! But then I suppose the temptation not to look at such things when it's your own would be hard to resist when it's your child.

Someone has already linked my favourite Halloween dance (Patrick and Anya doing the QS to ‘Man with the Hex’) so I’m going to link to this absolute classic. It’s just literally insane. I was never a great fan of Brendan, but this might be the best thing he ever did on Strictly.

Also, Halloween week really isn’t the same without Brendan’s annual patented “shout out to the backstage crew” Halloween speech

Here we go, unnecessary false laughter, daft questions and closed questions from Fleur.

It is like sitting at a table with people you don't know and are not really interested in but have to make conversation.

Has this really been rehearsed?

They definitely did five dances in the series 4 final although Wiki has them down as doing only four so they might be wrong for S7 as well. I remember Matt and Mark had to do ballroom, latin, show dance, a dance to the same piece of music and a VW group dance.

That was also back when the show had the insane idea to make the top three or four contestants in the current series take part in the Christmas special while also training for the actual show. And they had to do two dances a week from Week 9 onwards with the final not taking place until the day before Christmas Eve. If they weren't sportsmen, I think one of them would have collapsed on the floor out of sheer exhaustion!

I'd totally forgotten that Lisa and Rachel were brought back to fill time in that final, the show really did try hard to cast them as winners.

Honestly, it’s just rude that this brilliant chaos meant we never got one of these again. TPTB, please bring back the -athon madness because it’s much needed and I miss it dearly.
