Storm Eunice and Franklin

I looked at that earlier, quite a few local to me have been down since Friday. We still have ours, but the lights keep flickering . Very windy here and it's taken one of our trees down into the road, I had a brief look and a couple of others look a bit wonky too.

There's less trees down than I thought there would be. But quite a few large ones are wonkey, with the weight of them it would only take a couple of degrees more before they'll fall. So many need to be taken down, but I bet the council and tree surgeons are overrun with work. One house has a huge oak tree bent towards it - doesn't look safe to live in there!

Storm Franklin is definitely hitting Cumbria more than Eunice did.

Looking at the wind patterns it looks like Ireland and Scotland have storm after storm hitting this week.

It's been pelting down all day, and the wind is blowing more fiercely again. My poor garden is under water.

Won't be long until the wind is replaced by too much rain/drought/heatwave/freeze there's so much extreme weather happening around the world. Everywhere seems to have records broken.

To think Arwen was in the final days of November and we’re now onto Franklin already and it’s only February.

exactly, how anyone can deny the increase in extreme weather nowadays is insane. I live near the river in London on the ground floor and am now just terrified of flooding

I’ve seen parts of Manchester were evacuated over severe flood warnings and there’s more to come

Storm Franklin seems to be hitting hard on the west coast of Scotland. It’s sounding worse here tonight than last weeks’ storms! Loads of lightning too.

Yep, Franklin here in North West has been worse than Eunice was. Much louder, I live near the beach and can proper hear it - much much stronger. Salon over the roads sign has just fell off

I had a metal chimney for the wood burner in the snug … duck knows where it is now!
I do love a good storm and sitting in bed hearing the roar of the Atlantic but it’s getting a bit tiresome and expensive. Guess I’ll be on the phone to the builder again tomorrow

I'm the same with the hood on my oil burner that's about 4 gone now it's really rough here atm I'd hate to be on the coast
