Glad I found this thread! I don’t listen to his podcast but can see from the posts of him quoting himself that the vibes are off.

Seems like he loves the smell of his own farts.

Does anyone know if he actually grew up poor or not? Seems fishy to me, he sounds too smarmy.

Ive been listening to his pod, honestly I find him hard to listen to, seems he’s trying really hard to hide an accent or trying to speak clearly. He tends to ask the same questions.

How can someone type so many words yet still produce a sentence with absolutely no decipherable meaning whatsoever.

I’m an educated person and have gone over this a few times, yet I still have no idea what he is trying to convey.

Literally all he's saying is that the meaning of life is to lead a life that's fulfilling to you.

Just wanna tweet this at him

This guy is not genuine, yes he is successful and i applaud him for his successes. But in my mind, he is 100% not from a council estate. He claims that he grew up on a council estate in Plymouth, but has no accent that leads me to believe it. his mannerism are not of from someone who has that walk of life either, people from Plymouth have a strong accent, and I've not heard it come through once! even with vocal training, he would still have it!

We as people recognise what we see standing in front of us very quickly from our own life experiences, if you grew up on a council estate, you would know within seconds of meeting someone if they came from one. I just listened to a podcast of him and Gary Neville (footballer), Gary has been rich from the age of 17, now mid 40's you can still tell from the way he speaks and carries himself that he grew up on a council estate.

the apparent rise in success at such a young age is another flag for me regarding economic upbringing as well.

I just get a funny vibe off this guy and I know a buller when I see one.

I know what you mean. His accent does not go with what he professes to have come from. I come from humble stock. I can change my voice to well spoken but often the common comes out unbidden! I can’t keep it up 24/7. But he seemingly can??!!

I think he speaks quite slowly you can see the clogs moving behind his dead eyes before he speaks, like he’s acting so hard not to slip up.

I thought he was from Manchester because he talks about living there?

I wouldnt be surprised if hes bad some sort of voice coaching

I grew up on a council estate with my mum as our primary carer but my Dad was always minted. I had a bit of an accent growing up but lost it when I went to uni.

I would never brag about growing up on a council estate if I was a billionaire though - I mean its pretty obvious that I've had a tremendous amount of privilege! I wonder if he's in a similar dynamic?

In his Tiktoks he seems brain dead.

Asks a question - guest talks about it whilst he just sits there with a harmless expression on his face.

I see this guy as a massive fraud tbh. He's a motivational speaker and influencer masked as a businessman. Some of the pitchers probably have more business acumen than he does. He's certainly nowhere near the same league as the other dragons.

He's like the British Gary Vee 🤮

Gary Vee annoys the rit out of me…

A really interesting article and everything in it is so true!! https://www.newstatesman.com/culture/2022/03/steven-bartletts-self-help-guide-to-helping-himself

Also, his previous company social chain has horrendous reviews from workers. They were literally paying 20k a year to people who were pressured to stay late or get ousted. The guy is a disgusting excuse for a business owner and only cares about himself.
Hi 👋 sorry very late to this thread, can we see the article without signing up/gaining membership?

This man infuriates me!! I really enjoy listening to the guests he has on and will usually listen to the episodes of guests that I have never heard of because their story looks interesting but I'm just so fed up of him mentioning Liam Payne at any chance he gets like that is something to be proud of, they both make me cringe so bad! Not only that, he talks about himself far too often and a lot of the time isn't even relevant to what they're talking about. If it isn't one of those he's talking about, he has to make sure he says 'my girlfriend' at some point. He mentions having a girlfriend so many times I'm wondering if this person even exists. He even mentions her in a Huel ad where he says 'my girlfriend came up to me when I was in the shower, blah blah blah'....who gives a flying duck?!?!?!

Sorry, had to get that off my chest
