I feel like there’s so much more to his story than he lets on
Constantly throws around ”university dropout” like he’s risen from the ashes

Left uni, out of choice, after one lecture because he looked round the room and thought he was better than everyone else. But he went to Manchester met (absolutely no shade) but it’s not even in the top 60 uk unis for businesses and he’s moaning it wasn’t good enough for him. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he had it planned out to go and drop out as part of his brand

then all of a sudden, with no qualifications or experience he gets hired as a freelance consultant for BEBO. How can you be hired as a CONSULTANT at 18 years old. Who are you consulting and what are you basing it off. Must be more to that story

and if anyone would like to tell me in real words what the fantastic social chain do, would love to hear it. Any description of them just seems to be cough up off buzzwords

and don’t get me started on “diary of a ceo” when I don’t think I’ve seen a clip of him speaking to a legitimate ceo. Not sure what relevant business advice I can possibly get from Instagram z listers who grew a following with big bums and Botox to a point their management company let’s them sell branded leggings 🙄

In his latest podcast he spoke about the fact that loads of men can't find women, basically,, and can't "pass on their genes" (what a tragedy). So should society intervene to stop this... it's really unbelievable, even for him. It's like he's suggesting the government force women to procreate against their will.
It's this whole male loneliness epidemic that a lot of podcasters like steven and chris williamson go on about. It's always about the fact that women now expect too much. Of course in reality women just expect someone equal because you know, they do well themselves, earn their own money and our life is often easier without a man. But the solution they kind of tend to imply is that women should reduce their expectations rather than that men should up their game.

The pseudo science he promotes is so damaging especially toward women.

One episode saying tampons can kill you (as if women didn't have enough to worry about). TSS in the west is so rare and more often associated with things like meningitis but he made a rare tragedy sound so common.

Recently tells women that obesity doubles your chance of having a kid with ASD.

Then on Dragons Den jizzes all over ear stickers supposedly that cure ME and pain (no evidence to support same but why not take advantage of women going though a tough health crisis.)

Sensationalist charlatan that we keep paying attention to because he's good looking and charismatic.
And don't get me started on the misogyny and racism he employs when discussing his black mother.

That article was spot on. I'm being trying to find the business in this "businessman" Steve

Anyways I am watching the JaackMate interview and Steven said the DUMBEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD

"The reason we are here is because our ancestors struggled forward. And their desires to keep striving is the reason they built these empires and overcame.....is it conceivable that they left a message within our genetic code that says 'You too shall struggle forward' and they've kind of predisposed us to forward motion"

That's verbatim BTW
He chats so much its unreal. I normally block him our to hear the person being interviewed but that load of bs was like what the f
He almost talks in nonsensical riddles to appear smarter, when in actual fact he talks utter shite.

I'm always suspicious of self-proclaimed business leaders who seem to spend more time on their podcasts than their actual businesses 🤨

Seen a quote by him coming up on LinkedIn where he's going on about how toxic social media is.

Isn't that your entire business and how you got rich?

This guy is not genuine, yes he is successful and i applaud him for his successes. But in my mind, he is 100% not from a council estate. He claims that he grew up on a council estate in Plymouth, but has no accent that leads me to believe it. his mannerism are not of from someone who has that walk of life either, people from Plymouth have a strong accent, and I've not heard it come through once! even with vocal training, he would still have it!

We as people recognise what we see standing in front of us very quickly from our own life experiences, if you grew up on a council estate, you would know within seconds of meeting someone if they came from one. I just listened to a podcast of him and Gary Neville (footballer), Gary has been rich from the age of 17, now mid 40's you can still tell from the way he speaks and carries himself that he grew up on a council estate.

the apparent rise in success at such a young age is another flag for me regarding economic upbringing as well.

I just get a funny vibe off this guy and I know a bullshitter when I see one.

What an aptly titled article! Really enjoyed this one.

The best paragraph:
But make no mistake, Bartlett is a man of the zeitgeist, one who’s vision and lexicon seems perfectly tailored for the age of LinkedIn nonsense and Instagram-hustling. His persona chimes with a mass cultural movement, one that believes life is a code that can be easily cracked through a steady, joyless routine of protein, podcasts, ice baths and mantras. He’s a door-to-door salesman flogging not a product, but a way of being – a used car dealer for the soul.

Do you think Steven deserves to share a panel with Peter, toilet and Deborah?

also I noticed he keeps mentioning his girlfriend, I thought he was gay?
He constantly mentions his girlfriend to try and prove he is straight. I'm convinced he is gay though.

Sums up the shambles LinkedIn has become these days: fed up of shit like this and endless polls about WFH for engagement 🤦🏻‍♀️
Eugh it’s the worst, it’s become so relentless these days - such an unbeatable platform of people constantly trying to one-up each other.

Always got a weird vibe from this Steven guy to be fair, The Social Chain was just a case of right place, right time and fine he got lucky, but I don’t see how getting lucky making a social media splash makes you some kind of guru?
He just seems really pretentious and I get sick of seeing his preachy tweets grabbed and shared all over the internet, get over yourself hun.

Just found this thread. Can't stand him!

Every time he opens his mouth on DD you know it is going to be "on social media".

Brilliant article in the New Statesmen. Every time I see someone share one of his posts on social media I want to delete them lol.

Im guessing this is why he pulled out the emergency proposal to his girlfriend of about 10 years - a quick 'see, I do like women, I'm going to marry this one' poor woman got the worst kind of shut up ring, one to rehab his misogynist image
