Pity. Just saw on Alicja's Instagram that they are away for her birthday in some lodge and it has been "gifted". Getting freebies is the single biggest reason I'll stop watching a channel. A shame. I'm sure they've gotten stuff already though.

Yeah it’s a recent thing. She had a teddy on the boat trip in Ibiza and then a few teddies on this cruise in Norway. My husband is 49 (I am only 4 years behind him) and if I brought teddies on trips with me he would be like WTF you doing? It’s really odd behaviour. Although she is an odd girl anyway. Couldn’t imagine giving my job and friends up for a man. Sad really? Especially one that doesn’t commit

There’s not THAT much wrong with him other than being quite snarky himself and often inconsiderate and having a girlfriend that’s 22 years his junior. Any YouTuber who is prone to a whine about their life who has escaped the 9-5 is likely to see at least some criticism. People need an outlet when they’re working their butts off and they’re watching someone take a 20k+ cruise moan that Tahiti isn’t as pretty as they wanted and there’s no paved right of way and it’s too hot to eat and they’re tired and so on.

You guys have now invented this whole mythology that Alicja fell because Steve loaded her down with baggage and it destabilized her. She wasn’t carrying anything but a water bottle and Steve didn’t have anything but a small sling bag on either. Why are you doing this?

Looking forward to hearing conspiracy theories about how she didn’t actually fall on that hike and instead it was later when she was carrying all of Madam Steve’s luggage and he has fooled us fools once again.

Plus how they know he makes 9k per week from conning people on Patreon. & all these ad's on his videos .

Oh I see, yes definitely her name wont be on the mortgage cos I think Steve can come across as a bit of a control freak so he will be in charge of the mortgage, it's his flat and his car that she relies to be transported around in, so they're basically using each other for the wrong reasons. Ahhh yeah maybe that was the arrangement then that she used him to get a British passport, that makes a lot of sense. Alicja comes across as all smiley for the camera but at the same time she looks streetwise and crafty, she looks tuned into him and probably just puts up with his sarcastic jokes to keep him sweet and thinking about his £££, Hahahhaaaa i hope Alicja enjoyed that pat on the back cos that's all she would be getting hahaa

Not being funny but why would Alicja, a Polish native aka an EU citizen, want a British passport post Brexit? Makes more sense to me to keep her EU passport

The amount of people sending him money in the comments is wild! Yes he got his phone stolen but I am sure the views on the video will pay for a replacement, plus the costs of his trip. Find it bizarre with his line of work that he did not pay for Cloud storage

Is it just me or do you not find Alicja a bit strange? she comes across as a nicey nice girl but theres quite a few things that stand out about her. The fact she's with a man almost twice her age, the fact she refuses to use toilets on public transport and chooses to refrain from drinking on trips to avoid using the toilet (that's seriously weird), and it comes across that she's maybe got an eating disorder cos Steve feels the need to praise her for eating half of a fish supper

Is the beds thing a pattern? I’ve never noticed until the QE2 videos and thought it was odd but didn’t know Steve had a thread here at the time. The most recent couple of videos they seem totally over it and didn’t want to do anything in which case why suffer through it? Just don’t make a video that day. Nobody has a gun to their head. It’s not great watching people make a video that they are clearly hating making. It’s a really long sweaty and tiring route they’re doing, if it wasn’t all just about cash and they cared about the experience they’d accept some days they wouldn’t make a video. It’s only when the cash cow needs a regular milking that you’d need to force it.

Newbie here, but I've been watching Steve for some time. I enjoy his trips, even made a couple of trips myself only after watching his vlogs, I went on the ferry to Shetland and had a holiday there. Also after seeing him do it, I also went to Netherlands from Newcastle on the ferry trip.

Yes I totally agree. But stay in the thread you can still chat without watching his vlogs properly. I just skip through them.

It's just a shame as I did actually generally like watching the majority of their videos. This has tarnished it completely for me now.

I don't know why we're splitting hairs to this degree. The reason I got into his channel is because of his short trips within Europe that are *relatively* modestly priced and haven't been labored over with rigorous planning and are pretty improvisational. He has put out a mountain of videos of this nature and it sets him apart from a lot of other content on YT. The long haul trips he's done are basically bonus content to me.

I think the hurtigurten trip is the first gifted one (he mentions this at the start of the video)…looked interesting but just about spilled a full cup of tea when he said that one of the excursions was £250 each!! Looked a stunning cruise though x
