You guys have now invented this whole mythology that Alicja fell because Steve loaded her down with baggage and it destabilized her. She wasn’t carrying anything but a water bottle and Steve didn’t have anything but a small sling bag on either during that hike. Their camping gear etc was in the car. Why are you doing this?

Looking forward to hearing conspiracy theories about how she didn’t actually fall on that hike and instead it was later when she was carrying all of Madam Steve’s luggage and he has fooled us fools once again.

He doesn't venture very far. Never went to Thailand, Dubai, South America and so on. They places must be out his comfort zone. I think he prefers a colder climate too. I think Canada's the furthest he's been. Beautiful country but I would prefer seeing him out his comfort zone in a market in Nepal.

Steve has build his channel by going to places that are easy for his followers to do in a small time frame & cost.
It's not about "comfort zone " It's the cost , the time he would need to plan such trip the flights, hotels, travel insurance etc.

Oh yeah I bet the neighbours were wondering who Alicja was, especially if there was no other woman present before her, they maybe thought she was his daughter from another relationship or something. That's the thing, like why Montrose out of all the places they could have moved to, it looks pretty out the way. I just looked up flat prices in Montrose and it appears pretty affluent so they haven't moved for cheaper housing, the prices were more or less the same as Edinburgh . For peace and to be near the sea hah I think you're right he's moved them to a place where it says there are a lot of older people, a few nightclubs and is well away from younger people, especially guys. I think Steve is a really paranoid person who would worry if Alicja made younger friends who encouraged her to go clubbing and meet people her own age.

Googled Steve's age and ended up here! Tattle never let's down. But how anyone can dislike Steve is beyond me, he's an absolute babe and I can't see a problem with thag age difference. I think age differences are concerning when the woman is like literally a child. She's an adult and I wouldn't have ruled out a 50 odd year old at 30 if he made me laugh and was kind

I’ve only recently started watching Steve’s channel, having discovered him via Scott of Trains Planes and Everything - who I prefer as he’s closer in age to me and seems a lot more relatable.

I have enjoyed some of Steve’s more geeky trips like the recent Norway one, however a business class flight to South America for what appears to be 3 days is ridiculous and shows scant regard to the environment.

I’m sorry he was robbed but couldn’t believe it when he said he hadn’t backed up his phone contents. That’s surely vital in his job and makes him look like an amateur. Still there’s always a bright side, he’s coining it in from all those saps sending him cash in the comments, over and above claiming a new phone on his insurance.

It's not some mystical thing to support yourself for a year in Spain 20 years ago. It was relatively cheap for people from English-speaking countries (and many others). He's such an ordinary boring dude but it's like we must imagine ridiculous scenarios to invalidate him cuz Steve Marsh Most Average Middle Aged Travel Tuber Ever Putting Out Nice Enough Content And Earning A Living From It is somehow a targeted individual. Funny to see this topic because I just watched his Southampton to New York video and, until his partner spoke, I thought it was his daughter. So I came here to see if it was just me and can see others thought the same!

I only watch him casually and I've only ever seen his solo videos, hence my query.

That said, he seems like a friendly and decent guy and he's transparent about pricing. Never seems to make unwarranted whinges nor does he act entitled. I watch quite a few travel vloggers and, compared to most, he's good.

I'm less keen on Scott from Planes, Trains, Everything. He's okay, but often comes across as moody and usually pulls the same "chewing wasp" expression. I've also seen a few videos where he brings his son along who says next to nothing. I get his son isn't a vlogger, but if my Dad did YouTube for a living and I didn't want to talk on his vlogs I wouldn't go on his trips.
