Sounds like the judicial system there is as bad as the one we have here in Australia, sees like these vile sex offenders have more rights then their poor victims.

It's a joke, it's failed me twice. Something happened that changed the course of my life when I was 24 (2003) and despite the person responsible having a history of violence as long as his arm and still being on licence for a previous offence, he did six months on remand waiting for my case to go court, the police were convinced he's was going to get 5-6 years for what he did to me. He got 8 months and walked free from court because of the time spent on remand. I spent the next ten years plummeting into alcoholism as he told me he'd always hunt me down. I lost my home, my driving licence, and my job. My life in 2011 was lying in a bed drinking. Blacking out, waking up so ill, forcing more alcohol down, blacking out, repeat. I wasn't eating, I wasn't even functioning. I thankfully was saved just in time, on 21st December 2011 I was admitted to hospital with liver failure and I'd lost the use of my legs. I spent 2012 in rehab and learnt to walk again. I'm sober to this day. 2019 and I met someone equally as horrendous which was mainly mental and emotional abuse, some physical, destroyed my mind all over again. He used to do things like take my phone, keys and bank card off me and lock me out of the flat. We were in lockdown and Id have to sleep on the streets, once of the times in February. I finally left him for good a year to the day I met him in 2020. He did three weeks in prison.

I now have no one in my life. I have no friends and I don't ever want another relationship because I've given up trusting human beings. The only people in my life are my family and my work colleagues...who see me as ice cold...I've got closer relationships with people on here than my actual life. But the biggest joke is the justice system. Where was the punishment for the one in 2003 for me losing MY choice of whether to have children? Seeing my Dad break down in tears when he saw the state of me in hospital in 2003? Or that I've had my mental health ripped apart? Couldn't physically survive without alcohol to stop everything by in my head? I keep busy, so I don't have time to think but it's all still in me locked away, still looking over my shoulder for BOTH my abusers....who's serving the sentence?

Georgia has also suffered the same level of abuse...what that bastard to her was disgusting and that piece of shit isn't going to get the punishment he deserves. Judges are still so old school and don't understand the things that abusers do to their victims changes them FOREVER. When will things change so the punishment fits the crime? It's time to stop letting victims serve a life sentence for their abusers actions

I’ve only joined tattle recently but have been admiring this thread from afar!!! I cant quite put into words how happy it makes me watch this tragic, bloated nobody go through one of the most humiliating downfalls I’ve ever witnessed.
