Think this is in London but to be fair she looks well if she is 72 years old. Regardless of the rights or wrongs of her thinking the police arresting her isn’t a great look. Obviously if there is footage of her doing something illegal then fair enough but I doubt she could cause anyone much harm.
She’s making a display of herself for attention.
They’re not manhandling her. I’ve no idea what she’s done (if anything) but being 73 does not make you above the law.

They really aren’t looking great with these videos today. Another woman of course.

Laurence Fox is a complete fool, likewise anyone who follows the pillock.

Think it’s because they’re not used to civil unrest , so panic ! There were men arrested coming from work and OAP’s for spectating.

The woman arrested says she’s there ‘for the kids’. So not just passing through then.

It was an elderly man I was referring to he’s pictured asking what he’s done…People do have a right to peaceful protest it’s one of the conditions the ECHR afford us…Along with the negatives .

I’ve not seen the video you are referring to, of the old man, but there has to be a bigger picture. For example, they’ve asked him to move on and he’s refused?
They haven’t got the time to arrest anyone just for the sake of it surely 👀🤞🏻

Will also say that I don’t know why people just want to stand around watching what is going on and put themselves at risk of harm. It just makes more work for the emergency services that are already under strain.

I know, peaceful protest.
These videos are completely out of context so give no clue to what has proceeded, therefore absolutely no sensible judgement can be made.
The elderly and woman can be arrested just as readily as men and the young.

Obviously we’re not there to see first hand but there doesn’t seem to be much going on to warrant arrest??

Unsure why you're sharing a Lozza Fox post uncritically here, when he was one of the instigators of the riots, and now seems to be complaining about police treatment of the protesters? I do wonder what he means by "or this will get worse" because it sounds like a threat. OTOH I guess it's kind of interesting to click into the tweet, only to see people who presumably had nothing to say about, for example, the police pulling children out a house by force and manhandling them into a police van in Leeds, or the stomping of a suspect's head while he was tasered on the ground in Manchester, now complaining about police brutality. I suppose we must all draw our own conclusions.
I was sharing for the video. It came up on my feed. I thought the video was relevant to the topic. Sorry for not posting a disclaimer about how much of a fool I think he is before sharing or spending hours trying to find the same video from a more acceptable person. I’ll do better next time.

The video can be misleading as we are not seeing what lead to the arrest. Give them their due, they are taking it well and not kicking off.
it could be a cleverly cut video to make the police etc to look bad.

It could be? But then you have to ask why there were no arrests outside Rochdale police station with a very angry mob baying for their blood???…People are watching.

I don’t really care.
They don’t care about ‘the kids’ they just want to cause trouble, get attention and boo hoo if they are arrested.
Like every demo there’s going to be sinister elements . I wouldn’t say the majority of that crowd were hooligans , gov are driving concerned citizens into the arms of the extreme right .

People of a certain age, who no longer work or have childcare responsibilities, may fear arrest less. They may be willing to provoke arrest to highlight their particular cause and all the better if they’re filmed when it happens.
Of course this behaviour can apply to anyone, of any age or gender.

You know these "concerned citizens" are from the same groups which turned a vigil into a riot, attempted to target a mosque, and left dozens of police injured literally the night before?

I don’t understand why if it’s “not terror related” they are working with counter terrorism??
They never reveal the full picture until they’re absolutely sure, that could take weeks to establish. They said their were no terrorist link to the stabbing of the soldier but issued a statement that cadets shouldn’t wear military uniform in public for their own safety.

People need to save the protesting until he gets manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility which is exactly what is going to happen and then they need to protest against the justice system and how change is needed in this country!

I can’t answer that. My best guess, due to the volume of people outside and being understaffed as there were issues elsewhere 🤷🏼‍♀️

Unless there was violence/risk to life, it may have been safer to leave them especially given the numbers of officers injured in the last 48hours.

Not every incident can and will be treated the same. All circumstances differ.

When you say people are watching, I don’t know if you mean spectators to the above or just watching the police actions collectively in general but if it’s the latter, let them watch. Unless they are involved, and know the full story, their opinion on how they think things should be policed doesn’t really matter.
