A library is hardly a disruption..

It's not a hospital, clinic, or a place of that much importance
I’ve just caught up on this thread and I’m writing this to tell you that you’re a vile twat who needs to learn a lot more in life if you think all of this is acceptable. People like you belong in hell.

I heard someone say on a TikTok live last night, and I quote, "I know someone who is getting £100k a week from the government to house migrants". People actually believe this stuff. They actually believe it.
Oh, there are definitely HUGE government contracts given out to house migrants and others (for example homeless smackheads) in hotels and various other forms of housing. Britannia Hotels has a huge hand in this particular pie. Multiple large hotels owned by Britannia in a resort near me have been turned over to this business in whole or part over the past five years or so. It's great for the owners of Britannia, as it means they don't need to do ANY repairs or maintenance on their properties and let them go to rack and ruin as the 'guests' have no choice in their housing and the bill is paid before they even arrive. The bad reviews from actual paying guests matter nothing to them as they're at full capacity, paid at high rates, all year round.

There are plenty of slumlords who own multiple HMOs who benefit from the same deals.

It’s a recognised phenomenon about the link between rioting and good weather. Unfortunate that it looks fine all week.
Bring in the water cannons and ‘let it rain’.

I think the problem is that the police/media didn’t give any reports about the subject for over a day. Which led to the rumour mill. They could have stamped it down within a couple of hours by releasing a statement saying they didn’t suspect a Muslim.
While I get your point, I don’t think the police’s priority would be letting the public know in terms of the subjects ethnicity. They said it wasn’t terror related and no other suspects were being looked for. They even released gender and age. If they had come out straight away and said ‘it’s not a Muslim’ there would have been uproar they have mentioned that and been accused of being racist.

They literally cannot win whatever they do.

A couple of years old? That photo is probably at least 8 years old. Let’s not tarnish ‘lots of boys’ who have no intention on stabbing a bunch of young girls at a swiftie club.
If you can’t accept that male violence against women and girls and incel culture is a massive problem then you need to do some research

They're getting drowned out in Leicester at the moment by a woman on a megaphone and the anti-racist protestors shouting. Not so brave once they're faced with pushback from others.

But they prob won’t be as they’ll go on the seg unit with all the other ponces and terrorists for their own protection! Prisons are totally over crowded, I would just exterminate them!
Whilst I agree to some extent, it opens up a really slippery road. We either spend a lot of money as they appeal every sentence even with undisputed evidence. Or we have a slip up, and someone dies who shouldn’t have, or you get a power mad Home Secretary who suddenly adds x crime on to the list, or y crime and then all of a sudden it becomes a free for all like in some countries and it’s your brother, sister, next door neighbour.
Not only that, it becomes a circus. We are in the age of social media and everything being a public display. The people who film when terrorists start, the people who do TikTok missing hunts, the people who go to a riot across the country about an issue they know nothing about will all want these things to be public, and there’s nothing dignified about death in anyway. And the death penalty loses it’s seriousness when it becomes a tv show and almost a reality show.

Horrific scenes in Sunderland and Liverpool. I genuinely want to know how looting shops is making a stand against immigration? It is frightening what is happening. Watched a few of the TikTok lives and people just seemed to be out for a jolly.

This is what’s truly amusing (and I mean that in the bad sense) with this whole situation

The people and communities being targeted aren’t in any way connected to the murderer but you still have people banging on about immigration and asylum seekers and trying to excuse these riots as if they’re not connected to racism and xenophobia based on wrong assumptions

Had this been a white man we would be having very different conversations
Yes. And the conversation no one is having is about the misogyny of this crime. It was a practically adult man, targetting a place that would be full of young girls. It's similar to the Manchester Ariana Grande concert bombing. What it boils down to is these men - of various backgrounds and creeds - target girls and women for their hatred and violence. If you subtracted any element of race or nationality or religion from those 2 crimes, they would show themselves for what they fundamentally are: male attacks on females.

Dismissing the criminality because ‘they’re just upset’ is hypocrisy at its finest

But how should they have described him? My parents are Australian immigrants who had me shortly after arriving, but I’d describe myself as English. To say anything else would be racist, surely?
Same here, Irish parents but I describe myself as English. Well, I am English.

My guess is he is probably an incel. I work with children as young as ten (Year 5s) who idolise Andrew Tate. Obviously that is just my assumption, however, I don't think the thugs would be interested in that narrative.

I find it funny that the ‘ACAB’ lot are now the biggest fans of law and order personally.
You can still be against police brutality and think policing needs reform while also understanding the importance of them on our streets 👍

Always amusing these totally not racists denying that racism in general exists

have seen a few posters here do it already because how dare anyone suggest that someone who isn’t white would be afraid to step out into some of these city centres today?

I feel quite ashamed at the amount of people I know who appear to be lauding Tommy Robinson as some sort of hero.
It’s sad really none of them care about those little girls do they? It’s just a chance for them to get on their high horse about “foreigners”.

It really is all starting to seem very coordinated, I'm just not sure who the main actors are. Like, I don't want to get all tinfoil hat but it does suit the West to demonise certain other parts of the world, in an attempt to justify their brutal 'foreign policy'.
Oh, I don't think it's coordinated but a natural alignment of certain types and right now a huge amount of crap is started online to cause upset and strife in western countries. It can be ANYTHING the bots will pick up as long as it's divisive as hell.

The anus to my mind will have latched onto something to do that type of attack, some noxious ideology he's found online and mainlined into his veins as an outlet for whatever ails him. It's so specific though, little girls, Taylor Swift music .... could be an Abedi fanboy for sure .. or could be the result of the most vicious, murderous incel-type misogyny that's rife online these days and young lads eat up like candy. Yes, it started as an alt right thing too, aligned to white nationalism ... but recently a absolute heap of black men have been launching themselves as Andrew Tate wannbes too in the hope of picking up someone of those sweet incel dollars. Misogyny sells right now. Or it could be something else entirely, some personal lunacy beyond any ideology. All I know is now it's happened, various elements will pick up and run with whatever interpretation suits their cause before the facts are in.

As my late father said about the Tottenham riots a few years back, it’ll be over when it rains. He was right, and it’ll be the same with this.
Trufax.

Nobody riots in winter, in the cold and damp. Lightweights. It's basically no different from Saturday night brawling for a lot of the, a leisure/male bonding activity.

I also don't really know if the Incel motive holds up in THIS case. He stabbed a bunch of kids. I'm not saying he's not a incel but I mean, he could equally just be a fucking nutcase.
He picked an event that would be female focused. He got a taxi there from another area - he knew the time and location. Incels do not like Taylor Swift as she promotes female empowerment. Like the Australia incident the only male injured was protecting the women and little girls here. I’ll hold full judgement until we get more evidence but it’s what seems the most likely motive.

I’m half black and Evan my dad said this and he’s Jamaican he said the riots are a symptom of people not being listened to by central government so a peaceful protest doesn’t work so a riots get called racist or far right
My dad said thy label the rioters as far right to blanket statement them and put lash them in a corner because they don’t want to admit people have had enough of certain issues they don’t want to tackle the problem
So trying to burn down a mosque isn’t racist? Punching random people of colour isn’t racist? A corner shop ran by a family that aren’t English getting smashed up and robbed isn’t racist? The chants they were screaming about killing muslims isn’t racist? I must live in fantasy land

Is it just me who finds articles like this a bit weird? Has she been paid for this story?? Why’s she making it all about her and her daughter?
yeah I find this one weird. The actual child Poppy, who lost her friend 3 days ago is talking too.

“I saw the picture,” said Poppy. “And I said what is wrong with her? And you said she has died from the incident.”

“I don't think she's fully got it, that she has gone,” Charlotte said.

So she’s letting her speak to a journalist for bbc news?

It’s the posed photo as well. Weird. I think shame on bbc. Expect this type of stuff from the Mail.

I didn’t realise they had been on tv news too! Wtf?!

This is what I'm talking about. Impossible to have a conversation with people who have literally no idea what they're talking about and assume that anyone with a different skin tone is inherently violent. When we're the ones who do the most killing.
