I'm struggling to understand why some people are excusing the rioters attacking religious buildings, looting shops, setting fire to things and physically abusing police officers. If it comes out this kid is Christian, are we to expect people to start attacking churches? Cos we all know that isn't going to happen. Its just an excuse to go after people that "don't look like a British person should"
Where were the riots after the Soham murders? Or when Brianna Gheys murderers were named? We didn't feel the need to take our country back then did we?

There needs to be conversations about immigration, I absolutely agree. This government have been in post 3 weeks. However, most people who come to this country contribute to society, pay their way, pay to use the NHS and work damn hard. Just like we don't allow a white serial killer to tarnish all white people, we shouldn't allow it to happen the other way.

The minimisation and justification of this idiotic behaviour is crazy.

They're not "concerned" they're violent. They're working class, but so are the majority of people from ethnic minority backgrounds.

This might not be final level facism/far right behaviour/racism but it's on the same damn scale. Or should we wait for it to get more extreme before we call it what it is?

These fools are taking attention away from the victims, some of whom probably live in the very areas these dickheads are destroying.

These idiots are probably retraumatising them by subjecting them to more violence too.

The 3 gorgeous girls who were murdered by this bastard, they should not be forgotten by those claiming to be rioting in their name or by the people on this thread. Male violence against women is an epidemic at the moment and is being illustrated in another version in these riots.

Exactly that’s what I was trying to articulate but you done a better job then me.
The government can’t keep lashing people in a box and calling it far right
They need to acknowledge that their is a problem it needs solving
But they are apposed to doing anything about it
---

If the government done their job properly it would have to come to that would it
So the government does what exactly to stop all crimes? Baring in mind it’s not just people from other countries killing people here, one of my closest friends was stabbed to death last year by a woman 20+ years older then him who had groomed him from a teenager. Where was the riots about that? People are going out to riot for one reason only, because they want to get their closeted racist views out. The riots in Southport were because they assumed a man who come over last year on a boat killed 3 kids, it was a british citizen. If it was a white man who done it no riots would have happened because they were more assed about it being an immigrant rather than the little girls who died. Where’s all the riots for Lucy Letby a white woman killing multiple babies?

Just to note, the false identity being bandied around within a short time emerged from a US website. There are a lot of seriously dubious elements, both angry politicised individuals, fringe political actors/grifters and hostile foreign states (Russia, for one) whose state media and bot farms will signal boost anything that boosts a certain narrative - in this case, that the gaping anus who murdered three little girls was a Muslim doing jihad (which entirely remains to be seen) - or that causes division in some way within western societies. It's been the way since Soviet times - boost and fund ANYTHING that causes strife here, no matter the political alignment.

The small element out causing trouble in Southport are the same who boost Kremlin narratives about all sorts of things too - including Ukraine. The US and European hard/alt right is Kremlin aligned either for funding or through general stupidity.

My other thought is oh, god, the police van tipped and on fire, it's the Leeds nonsense all over again - a pattern is starting to emerge. Of course, it's summer - UK always reaches peak unrest in the summer months when there's more light and it's waarm enough to hang about outside and start stupid shit ... oh, and school holidays mean there are more than the usual number of useless dumbfucks ready to start trouble.

I can't believe they are using a photo of him as a child alongside the photos of the three girls. At a glance it looks like he is one of the victims. If they have no recent photographs of him then they shouldn't use one imo 😡

I find the language used quite odd. Calling him a ‘boy’ when he will be 18 next week instead of saying youth. Then posting this photo which clearly isn’t recent. If he does have some sort of mental health issues then I feel sorry for him but it does seem like a targeted attack.
It annoys me how mental health issues seem to be used as some sort of excuse these days. Not saying you’re doing that Grifty. But look at Huw Edwards he used Mental Health to get an easier ride with all that carry on last year.
I know mental health isn’t a black and white but there are millions of suffers who don’t commit crimes and/or have dodgy dealings.

It really is deeply unpleasant. I'm not shocked easily and I'm not even sure shocked is the right word but to be honest I'm almost lost for words at some of it.
I'll always remember queueing for a bus the day after the Brexit referendum - I was behind a mid 50s looking white man who was behind a black woman. The bus doors opened and she hesitated to walk onto the bus. The white man in front of me walked ahead and bumped into her, saying "Black bitch". That's the first time I heard anything like that in public in London for years. Happened to be on another bus the next day and two old Spanish men were talking to each other in their own language. Another mid 50s looking white person gets on the bus, hears them talking and shouts at them, getting right in their faces saying "You're in England now, speak English".

People have felt emboldened since then to be racist and xenophobic again, not helped of course by the Tories progressively courting racism and xenophobia. Good for Starmer calling out the far right.

I notice that cunt Farage is suspiciously quiet as well. He’s the person who stirred the pot and helped cause all of this, should be in fucking arrested for inciting hatred.

Just because libraries aren't of any disruption to some people, it doesn't mean they aren't important and beloved buildings to many others.

The problem is that these numbskulls are so thick that they will believe anything that Dazza down the pub has told them, especially if it's of a racist nature. Added to their general chavvy distrust of the police and other authority groups, it all of course becomes a huge conspiracy. They aren't being told the truth. The police, the government are hiding something. Nothing will change their opinion. What Dazza read on the internet is now fixed in their minds and they don't have the mental capacity to seek out the actual truth behind the fake stories.

Thick people are the absolute scourge of this country.

This is what happens when you pander to xenophobes/racists and don't call them out. They haven't been called out since 2016 - indeed, they're invited on to TV and radio a hell of a lot. The whole crux of Brexit was "your lives are poor because of those people coming over from the EU". That's how it was sold and how it was won. Milions of gullible people lapped it all up.

We've been subjected to hateful rhetoric on a daily basis, whether it's the Stop The Boats shite or the Rwanda scheme. Farage and the Tories have encouraged all of this, amplified by the mainly right wing media. Shame on them.

I really dont get why people are protesting? Yes what he did was wrong but targeting a group of INNOCENT people for one person's wrong doing isn't how we should go about it. This isn't what them families would want thats lost there beautiful daughter. They would want peace and time to mourn the loss of there child.
have you seen the clip (state) of the people “protesting”? Scumbags of the lowest intelligence using this as an excuse for mindless violence since there’s no football on at the moment.

But it’s only a library, so I suppose it doesn’t really matter 🙃🙃🙃

😡😡😡
This has broke me today, the amount of people this will have affected. It’s not just a library it’s where people go to do training, a place where mums who are navigating life with a child with additional needs come together and support eachother, a place where people can go when they need help with food and gas and electric vouchers, a one stop shop to help people in need. Dirty scum 😡

I'm so angry seeing that picture of him with his jumper pulled up his face in court. What kind of arrogant evil cunt thinks he can murder a group of little girls, then just get to hide his face? The cowardice and entitlement are off the charts. Doing it with the jumper too, is so cowardly and immature.
