The parents are getting lots of sympathy on X.

Yes the lack of mental health support undoubtedly played a part in the murder of those wee girls. But also having a son who'd only left the house in a couple of years, and everytime he left it was to try and hurt someone, and you don't constantly phone Social Work services, mental health services and the police is a bigger issue.
I saw a Northern Ireland documentary about families with boys with Autism. One of the dads was covered in bruises, scratches and cuts where his son lashed out at him. These families battled to get support for their kids. And as far as I know, none of them have murdered anyone.
Wonder how much it cost to relocate ARs parents and the brother. And how much their security costs every year.
Which I presume is why they didn't appear in person at the Hearing. So that as few people as possible can identify them.

It’s the same issue coming out in the Nottingham enquiry. Every single authority charged with protecting the public from Valdo Calocane turned a blind eye because he’s black. We really need to face up to the danger anti racism is putting the public in.

Could someone possibly answer my question. In light of all these sort of attacks on people (Manchester, Southport, the lady who worked at the hotel and was murdered, those assaulted, and anyone harmed by someone in the UK illegally or legally) could the government be sued by the families if pathways weren’t followed due to fear of being seen as racist? If the perpetrator was white then it probably would have been investigated.
I would not be surprised if Grace O’Malley and Barney Sullivan’s parents pursue legal action. I follow her dad and his mum on Twitter and to say they’re angry would be a huge understatement

It isn't all her fault of course but just maybe if she and her ilk hadn't been able to get their slimy little mitts on every insitution going so they could push agenda before anything else, three little girls would still be safe at home with their families.

Ian Coates family put up some very angry posts just after it happened.
And yet I recall some reporting around the Nottingham attacks which said local health services were concerned by a report (I think it was national rather than local guidance but I can’t swear to it) that stated things like injectable antipsychotics were overused on the black population, and this is why, ultimately, Valdo Calocane was allowed to be off his meds being a danger to society.
Also, why did the report hand-wring about the “overuse” of certain antipsychotic meds in certain communities, when the self same communities are over represented when it comes to developing psychosis? More concerned with leftist ideology than keeping patients and the public safe
And then to the ways agencies covered up AR’s violent behaviours, including erasing parts of a draft EHCP, for the same “anti-racist” reasons?
When did the authorities in this country lose their actual minds?

Parents of Southport survivors say anonymity has erased their girls from the story
The BBC has spoken to parents of some of the children who survived the knife attack, who believe they have been given insufficient support because of the anonymity order.

I was really shocked by this.
As much as the anonymity order was made with the best of intentions, in practice it feels more like a gagging order. The families must secretly feel very angry that they’re not allowed to be open and speak with whoever they see fit.
The fact that professionals are misinterpreting the order and acting like the children cannot even be identified to support services is appalling.
My cynical brain says this order has many functions, one being to quell public unrest. If the public really knew about each child, how they were injured and how they continue to suffer, not to mention how the authorities are failing them -well they might be taking to the streets again.
