The victim statements have started, the GB news reporter outside the court is in tears reading the class instructor's out.

ETA Mark White.
I'm watching GB News too and he is one hardened reporter and he could barely continue.

There needs to be some sort of legal definition of what this type of tit is and who deals with it. Half the incidents these days aren’t religious terrorism or radicalisation, it’s the same bleepin thing every single time young men who sit in their rooms 24/7 watching weird tit on the internet and hurting either women or kids. It’s endemic
Too many people are focussed on whether it’s anti white but he’s obsessed with genocide in general and most of the stuff he was saving would’ve been people of colour suffering. He’s clearly just ducked in the head and obsessed with torture, more so against women and girls because he knows that it’d be easier for him. He was also supposedly obsessed with grape as he had things like that saved to his phone too so I’m surprised we haven’t heard of other crimes sooner.

Would love to see him try fight the men in prison, he’d absolutely tit himself as he wouldn’t have a blade to back him up

For Alice, Elsie, Bebe, Heidi and the surviving girls, I’m surviving for you.

Her statement was so powerful, she can't work with children again incase this happens, she can't leave the house, she feels so much guilt. It's awful.

I saw an interesting discussion on X the other night - a psychiatrist was saying she thought it was possible AR is psychotic. She said this obviously wasn’t a diagnosis but a hunch, based on his pre-trial behaviour, that mugshot, and her own experience. Apparently it tends to be under diagnosed in young black men (as is schizophrenia apparently).
As far as we know, the defence hasn’t offered any diagnosis in mitigation, which you’d think they would if there’s anything there, but the way he’s been carrying on, I do wonder.

When it happened I assumed psychosis or schizophrenia but he's obviously planned it and has proof violence. Obviously noone who is right in the head could do what he did though. And doing it just before turning 18 to avoid being seen as an adult seems deliberate too

The riots that followed were dealt with swiftly, shame this level of urgency wasn’t used when all of these referrals were made. He was known to authorities and multiple agencies over and over again. This isn’t isolated either, there will be other cases where alarm bells should be ringing but nothing is being done.

The BBC reporting on this is hard enough to read and they aren't reporting certain things due to requests from the families. It's unbelievable how many red flags were waved about him and he still managed to do this

Middle daughter, who is in her 30s, got ID'd in B and M when she bought a potato peeler a couple of weeks ago!

Yet AR could buy one easily it seems.
I work in retail and even the carving kits at Halloween have an age restriction on them.

But if the package was delivered to an adult then the delivery person would just take that as being enough.

They said that's one of the reasons Prevent stopped looking into him, there was no clear terrorist ideology like extremist religion or whatever.

So it seems simply wanting to cause terror isn't terrorism as long as you're not aligned with a particular political or religious ideology.

But I don't see how an interest in violence, history of carrying a knife, plans to carry out a crime don't altogether become someone's responsibility.

I literally got asked for ID in Asda a few days ago for buying a pair of kitchen scissors and I've just turned 36! This is disgraceful!

Does anyone think in cases like these that the parents should be found culpable and sentenced to prison time also? It might motivate some people to actually get their children the help they need when they are seriously disturbed and a real threat to society.
Ethan crumbleys parents were sentenced in the US so yes I believe they should. One of them received the knife when it was delivered? He was making ricin in his bedroom? There must be some culpability

I've been thinking a lot about the Plymouth shooter too - similarities in the kind of messed up things he was accessing online, plus I'm sure his mother (his first victim) was aware and scared of him, but I don't think was able to access any help. Prevent should have support for cases like that, as well as religious or politically motivated terrorism.

I’ve got tears at the statements already, surviving but in reality still loosing your whole life because of the ordeal. Them poor kids, adults and families. I hope they all know how much strength they truely have and how amazing they are to get up every day after this happening to them 💔

They've got someone on GB news talking about possible sentencing, may possibly go to prison for 18 to 25s, may go to an adult prison, possibly be on the vulnerable prisoners unit. My blood is rising which is not good for my blood pressure!
If we can’t bring back the death penalty for crimes like this he should be locked up like Robert Maudsley

I got ID'ed a few months ago in B&M when I bought one of those paving stone scraper brushes because it had a pointy spike on it for getting between the stones. And I'm 34! But yet this child could buy a knife no questions asked.
