This isn’t a “gotcha” moment.

Three girls were murdered, the man’s a sick bastard whether he was doing it “for Islam” or any other reason. Surely before people were speculating based on the information given at the time.
Three girls are dead. They were killed by a monster who may or may not have been an Islamic fundamentalist. As was always the suspicion. The poster who I responded to, who is frankly a Far Left terrorist sympathiser, was one of a number who insisted, AS FACT, that this was nothing to do with terrorism, and was probably the actions of a mentally ill individual. And anyone who even questioned this narrative was called Fascist or worse. They also openly mocked and gloated when a selection of underclass low hanging fruit went to prison, even though the root cause of the riots, is starting to appear to be right on the money.

So yes this is absolutely a gotcha moment. Forgive me if I don’t particularly care about the butt hurt of a Corbynista with highly ingrained Dunning-Kruger effect. That poster can always run back to Tattle Mos Eisley (aka the Palestine thread) where her comrades will tell her how empathetic she is and is all the fault of Farage and the mainstream media or whatever self reinforcing bullshit she wants to believe. There are much bigger questions at play here, things like freedom of speech, trust in fair policing, and political interference in the journalistic process. In fact you could argue this is about truth. I could be wrong, I often am, but I think the trial will lead to a lot of anger. In fact I would bet my house that by the time we get there these terror charges will magically disappear to be replaced by some bullshit plead guilty to manslaughter by diminished responsibility deal. And the wheel will turn to the next atrocity. And there will be a next one.

Can't really get on board with all this conspiracy chat TBH. I work in a sector adjacent to the criminal justice system (don't want to be too specific) so have lots of experience in dealing with these types of people. My take is that pleading guilty last minute is all about aiming to retain a sense of control, and as a final insult to the families involved.

He won't give a shit if he's sent to jail for life. He never used to leave the house anyway by all accounts.

He will have a warm cell, 3 square meals, his clothes washed, he will be educated and given opportunities to learn that regular kids on the street won't, in the name of "rehabilitation"....

He will be protected, pandered to (as he is in court), he will have doctors and dentists on tap, he will be given a routine which will probably suit him. He will meet likeminded sickos to discuss and compare their crimes...

Whatever sentence he receives isn't good enough because the death penalty is not an option.

He can sleep easy knowing that the people of this country who he hates and seeks to destroy, will protect his family following on from his actions. The tax payers money will pay for a safe house for them yet again, and pay for a system that will keep him safe from true justice.

He will not care at all. None of this will be a punishment for him. And this knowledge disgusts me to my core.

I don’t think anyone needs to be a conspiracy theorist to say that this story has been “managed” from the start, with details covered up and lies peddled to pretend it isn’t what it is. A terrorist attack by a complete lunatic who was clearly a huge threat to society. Anyone who says otherwise has their head completely in the sand 🫠

There needs to be some sort of legal definition of what this type of shit is and who deals with it. Half the incidents these days aren’t religious terrorism or radicalisation, it’s the same fuckin thing every single time young men who sit in their rooms 24/7 watching weird shit on the internet and hurting either women or kids. It’s endemic

Asking for support from the judge whilst he revels in the fact a 6 year old was murdered by him. The fucking audacity. Those poor paramedics having to check him over as well, I’d end up knocking him out

I’m struggling to find the right words so forgive me if this comes across badly but it’s a miracle, or more likely a testament to the bravery of witnesses and skill of our emergency services, that there weren’t more fatalities when you read the extensive injuries some of the survivors endured.

I think a serious overhaul is needed
The youth of today are fuckin out of control and the amount of parents who must be scared to death of their own kids must be in the tens of thousands. Whatever this enquiry brings something needs to change cos these disturbed yutes are just growing up into disturbed adults

The terrifying thing right now is that there is so many more young people out there right now who will likely be the next person we’re watching the sentencing of.
My own 11 year old has said that he wouldn’t be surprised if he himself got stabbed at some point. His kids in his class pose on social media in balaclavas etc. Last year when he was in year 5 we found on the group chat for the boys in his class that one boy had shared various pictures of large machetes and knives. Year 5! In a small village school with an outstanding ofsted rating. We were the only parents who reported it to the school as we regularly check his phone. No other parents were aware.

The thought of a 6 year old trying to defend themselves is so heartbreaking. Poor little babies 😞

Thing is even now we aren't allowed to speculate without people calling us conspiracy theory nut-jobs, literally right here but also the media - saying all his known instances are violence related not terror, it's absolute bollocks. It's not a conspiracy, he had a fucking extremist manual and was making ricin. What more do you want? Him to scream the name of some deity while in the act? We knew his mental state and behaviour was racially aggravated, we were shut down. It's shown to be racially aggravated, we are still shut down. Why? It's not a conspiracy to ask that question, and no I don't think there's some huge cover up where Starmer is pals with his father and has let some big secret warlord in and doesn't want anyone to know, it's probably the more simple answer of they don't want their governmental failings at protecting us exposed. It's far easier to say be nice, stop being racists, stop rioting! Than to acknowledge your faults. The public are fucking sick to death and close to completely going off the hinges with how everything has been handled the past few years, they've pushed us to our brink and they are desperately doing anything to stop us going over the edge so they get to keep their cushy quiet lives. What part of that is a conspiracy?

Some of the nonsense reactions to this on X are just bizarre.

Doesn't plead guilty at the first hearing = outrageous, how dare he insult the families etc. Pleads guilty now = all too convenient, must be a cover up, the truth must out etc.

Sadly I think some people just want to know every gory detail of what happened, nevermind how awful that would have been for the victims families to hear

I also saw that apparently he had asked the police when he was first apprehended how young the youngest victim was, and when they said she was 6, he laughed.
He must never get out.

I find it hard to believe that a man who has completely and utterly failed to engage with the legal process so far has suddenly changed his plea to guilty.

The conspiracy theorist in me is saying that this is a very convenient way of preventing the details of that day ever being heard.

The part that's killing me the most is it's looking very much like he was planning a high school attack, as often is the case, his father managed to stop him didn't alert the police, so Axel instead redirected his energy to the even more helpless and easily accessible - little girls. Can't punish the people who tormented you? No bother, I'll just go and brutally murder some defenceless little children instead. Ugh.

For Alice, Elsie, Bebe, Heidi and the surviving girls, I’m surviving for you.

Her statement was so powerful, she can't work with children again incase this happens, she can't leave the house, she feels so much guilt. It's awful.

No, I meant the parents/school/health professionals reporting concerns that he was a potential terrorist.
To my understanding it's mostly teachers who make a Prevent referral. My youngest is a teacher and he said that. But I suppose any responsible adult would?

I must admit to feeling quite a bit of mental whiplash here, when the atrocities happened we were told he was a quiet, lovely Welsh choirboy, which gave me visions of a sweet little chappy skipping through gently undulating green hills warbling My Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau. Now it turns out he was an erratic, unpredictable nutjob who loved nothing more than to bash people about with hockey sticks and buy Al Qaeda training manuals. It's quite the switcheroo.

It's kind of like someone tasked with writing an article about Hitler and leading off on the vegetarianism and fairly nice watercolours. As opposed to the mad warmongering and genociding.

So he was charged with producing the poison ricin and possessing a military study of an al-Qaeda training manual, and he was referred to anti-extremism service Prevent - but this is not viewed as a terrorist attack??
How can that be right??
Apart from being an asylum seeker, it sounds as though what was said about Rudukabana immediately after the incident was true after all.
