Can anyone remember the girl who lost an incredible amount of weight but unfortunately she ended up with an eating disorder?

I think she was called laura? And had ginger auburn hair. Wonder what happened to her.

she changed her profile name from sw to something else then last I seen her she was going in I think to a anorexia hospital centre.

hope she’s doing okay

there’s clearly something wrong there, if I knew someone doing that I’d suggest trying to speak to Doctor for some therapy or something?! Thats really shocked me 😮
The guy he gave it to is his partner, thankfully

Glad it’s not just me!! I’ve never see anyone upload so many stories every day, mostly about being ‘a strong woman’ & ‘a man would be lucky to get with me because I’m so amazing’ followed by sobbing ‘woe is me’ rants 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Don’t forget beckscross.. does anyone follow her? She irritates me SO much

i have to disagree with that about Gemma, you can absolutely tell she’s lost weight her stomach has gone down so much, although she is starting to do my head in aswell. Constantly spending money when she’s at uni??? How?!
She lives at home with her parents, my uni experience was the most well off I’ve ever been as I was living at home!

When I worked in the hospital everything was talked in calories. I asked how many calories there were in mug shots. The consultant said they do don’t do calories at slimming world. I thought slimming world would revert to red and green days again that is what I was expecting

Some people really suffered with mental illness following SW, that’s why they disappeared, I know one of these accounts personally and it took her a long time to overcome what SW did to her mentally. Yes she put weight back on, we all do once you get out of that cult, its important to remove yourself from it to look after your mental health. God even if she maintained weight she would walk out of group in floods of tears it affected her so badly, she really opened my eyes and wouldn’t touch that diet plan, sorry, way of life, with a barge pole X
I know I take the piss but genuinely hope you’re friend is ok

Download the Nutracheck app, it’s not free but miles better than MFP and more user friendly. Then google TDEE calculator and follow the instructions. Calorie counting is hit and miss, start on higher calories and then adjust as necessary. Don’t compare your calories to anyone else’s, we are all different. A women who’s 5ft2 and weight 120lb will be on less cals than someone who is 5ft 8 and 200lbs. Before you start calorie counting for weight loss, I’d eat normally for a week but track everything. You will see how much you are eating and where you can make swaps. Good luck x
Thanks for this. On nutracheck have you found a way to adjust your own cals according to your TDEE? or do you just log it and go over? I loved the app but felt like it set my cals low.

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, I'm still reading through the thread, but does anyone remember that girl, maybe called Emily? Who had a treat plate every week? Filled with cookies, pick n mix, and so much more shit? So healthy!

I know, it's hard to step back isn't it? But if you want to, you can do it. You can loose weight on your own, just like I am managing to now. Granted losing 2.5lb in 2 weeks isn't nearly as satisfying as losing 7lb in 2 weeks like I did on SW but at least I feel like I can eat now. You can do it if you want it. I'm sure there's people on here and on the weightloss and healthy living thread who can support you 🥰🥰
Thank you ❤

Oh there’s loads wrong with them but the terminology is all ‘pile your plate high’ ‘eat as much of this food as you like’ and no food is a ‘syn’. The syn values seem to be assigned in lowest order to whatever company pays them the most. At the meetings I went to hifi bars weren’t promoted or really mentioned. They are overly sweet, the same as the Alpen bars.
God yes, I ate far more on SW than I would normally. I stayed the same a few times, and was told it was because I hadn't used my syns. Its so warped.
