Found this page looking for an Erika thread, I used to like her but she’s becoming really big headed and foul today has just tipped it for me I actually feel sorry for those men yeah they put themselves on a public dating site but I bet none of them are sitting home thinking they will be on some women’s Insta being voted on 🤦🏻‍♀️! At the minute men are being questioned left right and centre for being men so no way is it okay for her to do that if that was a man doing that to women they would be hung drawn and quartered! This is probs a bit much for my first post on this thread but yah know hahaha!

Did anyone follow Amanda and Claire? They were awful! Always making weird shit out of blended porridge oats like chocolate eclairs! They’ve disappeared now and I can’t find their account!

I am trying to encourage my son to join my daughter and I to slimming world groups when they reopen. He’s put on 13lbs over lockdown he says. I told him to follow Vidler_jon, snaresky lad and the free food fan page. I am not sure of other good ones who follow the slimming world plan effectively. Those guys are large accounts with their own views. I am keen to get others to follow
Worst thing my mum ever did was to take me to a slimming world group. She meant well of course but it totally fucked up my health and the statistics literallt show that almost everyone will gain what the lose (and more!) have a look at sustainable weight loss to help your son and don’t get him started on a diet otherwise he will be in that cycle that it seems every slimming world account is at the moment (lost loads and all gained back.. beingbrittany, swfeebs etc) x

I dont think anyone disputes that SW works. Long term it doesnt give you the tools to maintain your 'target' weight. Also Ive said this for a few years now, not in relation to PTs jumping on the hate SW bandwagon. I have no views here, no clout to gain by posting what happened to me.

You cant avoid meals out and celebrations forever. You dont want to have chicken in black bean sauce and boiled rice for every takeaway and having takeaways of your choice and 'unlimited' free food doesnt go hand in hand with maintaining weight.

I wouldnt go as far to say as SW gave me an eating disorder but I had disordered eating. The full binge/purge rollercoaster. Barely eating before weigh in but then eating 'on plan' but more carbs and bigger portions the 3 days following weigh in. Id stop drinking water at 1pm for a 5pm weigh in.

I was seen as the 'ideal SW-er' at my class. Constantly looked up to and told to ask as I was doing 'so well' so I felt more pressure to continually have a loss each week. I couldnt say outl oud what I was doing because I knew it wasnt normal.

Im more educated now and realise that weightloss isnt a downward line constantly and fluctuations are normal. Especially for females, we ovulate, we menstruate, we hold water more than males do. I dont need to analyse my whole weeks eating if I gain half a pound and wonder where I went wrong.

Also having been what I would say is skinny for my frame/height I realised that loving myself wasnt solved by being a weight/size. If you dont love yourself as you are you'l always see something wrong no matter what size you are. I could see my bones and still felt just another half stone would be better.

I showed my husband one of these sweet Croissant breakfasts and he was nearly sick in his own mouth 🤣
Exactly, I'm quiet into sw (it has its flaws like most eating plans) and I just don't get the whole chocolate, sweet, rich breakfasts. I have fruit and yogurt/fruit/boiled egg/bacon butty for breakfast. I guess that's why if people looked at my Instagram they would say it's boring. But it works nearly 10st lighter.

Enjoyed reading all your posts and hearing your good and bad experiences. Personally I’ve lost weight years ago with slimming world but I put it back on again (and more) when I stopped. Back then I went to group every now and again but I found the group way to cliquey and I was always sat on my own (lol). The consultant never pressured me but tbh she hardly ever bothered with me. I lost 3 stone in total and put it allll back on again. I started following it again in august last year but at home and I really stuck to it, lost a stone and started following all these big SW insta accounts. They provided me with a lot of inspo and tbh it kept me on track because I was giddy that I could eat all that tasty food and humongous portions and still lose weight. I counted every syn and piled my plate with ‘free foods’ and started to get disheartened when I just wasn’t losing. I was maintaining and sometimes even gaining. I couldn’t understand, I was following the plan and was eating the same portion size as these insta accounts. I went to the doctors to have my thyroid checked, that turned out fine. So it’s took me to read this thread to realise that the reason I’m not losing is because I’m basing all of my foods on what the SW accounts eat and their portion size. I’m kicking myself over it and feel like a proper dafty. So today I’m going back to basics and I’m going to weigh my free foods to stop me from overeating. No more biscoff spread and all of these low syn puddings that these accounts claim to lose weight on.

Triple burgers! Just so gross. This is a total misrepresentation of SW. Most people will not lose weight eating like this.

I can’t stand those really high contrast colour edits people do of SW food...🤮 and all those skinny syrups and sugary shit makes my teeth itch just thinking about it 😬

Noticed she shared some of these comments on her stories but not the comments calling her out on sharing men’s profiles to be ridiculed 🙄
She did on her now deleted stories, complete with a link to the girls own story criticizing her.
Thanks for the new members Erika! This is exactly how I found Tattle 😊

If some bloke put her on their social media and asked their mates to vote on how she looks, she’d be devastated. A lot of these big SW accounts lose loads of weight and become so big headed because they are getting attention from the opposite sex (or same sex depending on preference). They need to remember that they can fall as quickly as they rose.

My group is stuck in about 1993 😂 most of them are just there for the social side of things, the meetings used to go on forever so I stopped going unless my consultant guilt tripped me into it. My consultant has this really annoying sidekick who has nominated herself as the group aficionado and the oracle of all syn knowledge and replies to all the posts on the Facebook group within 30 seconds.

At the weekend a new member posted saying her husband wanted to treat them to a takeaway from a new restaurant that's opened and what was the best thing for her to get. The sidekick instantly replied saying 'Just don't get it it's not worth it. I'm waiting until I get into the next stone bracket until we try it'. My immediate thoughts were a) so you're never going to try it then because you're the same weight you were when I went to SW the first time three years ago and b) the poor woman's husband being denied getting the takeaway, lord knows there aren't many pleasures to be had in life at the moment. I went on the restaurant's website and looked at the menu and suggested she had this stir fry dish and soup would be the lowest syn starter. Personally I would have just got whatever I wanted but I know what it's like when you're new and you're terrified of going off plan. She posted later on saying she'd got what I suggested so I hope she still gets a loss to prove it's okay for her to get Thai food with her husband if she wants to!

Edit because I put too much detail in there 👀😂
