Someone needs to go undercover and expose them because they market themselves as this caring auntie, when they're just a ruthless, greedy business model
I believe everything tubslife said, I know a consultant (who isnt mine) and they have just recently stopped for very very similar reasons...

@Hodgies Hi. I've been a yoyo dieter since I discovered the word calories as a teen. I started dieting when I was around 7 stone! 🙄
I've done so many diets including slimming world several times. I can't bear the groups.
In April I started to try fasting. I do still drink my tea as not giving that up for anything! It's more like one meal a day around 6 pm.
I've been surprised how much easier it is to eat once a day than thinking of food 3 times plus snacks etc.
I work 3-4 days a week & do it those days as I forget about eating when occupied. I still enjoy eating out on occasion. I've found it very freeing and eating exactly what I want is wonderful. Still have lots of veggies & some fruit every day to keep healthy.
I've been surprised how easy it was after the first couple of days.
I've currently lost 13 lbs eating this way. For the first time in my life I feel in control & not scared of food if that makes sense! I thought I'd share in case it would help in some way. 🙂

I'm not saying fasting doesnt work because it does, but it works because it creates a calorie deficit. There is no magic in it other then consuming less calories. The normal method is 16/8 some people fast longer. To those reading this comment please dont do it if it makes you miserable, starving all day is not worth it (again some people are not hungry so can do it easily). I dont fast but I also dont eat untill nearer lunch time as I'm not a breakfast gal.

Ah .. it was meant to be a positive post to share I'd finally found something that suits me after years of dieting and compulsive eating. In no way would I encourage someone to starve. But I take your point and of course it's about calorie deficit and that's never going to change whatever diet you follow.
I feel doing slimming world made me see certain foods as the enemy eg. Frylight as opposed to real spray olive oil. That white bread was from the devil & should never be consumed. Butter & fats are to be avoided but chemical spreads are good kind of thing.
Anyways I'm much happier & have more energy so it's worked for me though I'd never have imagined it would.

I've done every diet imaginable so I've tried intermittent fasting, mostly 16:8 but with a bit of 5:2. I did find them it fairly easy way to lose weight but I work shifts and it makes it awkward.

Oh your soooo right, slimming world is messed up I 100% agree with you there. No food is bad food and using syns determines foods as bad. You can lose weight eating mac ds everyday if you wanted as long as you were in a deficit, would you feel good??? Probably not but it can be done.

I didnt mean to offend you as I dont have an issue with fasting (not so keen on the 1 meal a day thing but that's my personal opinion and everyone should what they do) I'm glad you found something thay works for you (and fasting does work for alot) and im.glad it means you eat ACTUAL BREAD haha not.bloody air. I'm gluten and dairy free (thankyou thyroid and stomach issues 🙄) and slimming world.would hate my diet. Most dairy free is higher large as its coconut based and yet I lose weight on it and I have actual bread (granted it gluten free haha) and avocado most days

@Poppyray23 Hi no you didn't offend me. I didn't really put enough information in my post. I only do the one meal a day for ,3/4 days a week then I eat maybe two or three over the weekend. Today I'm at a family do and will eat as I please. I remember if I got invited out when on SW I would have a sinking heart about syns and how many there might be etc.
Anyways I'm glad you too have found something that suits you.

A hangover from SW is I still have exactly 30 GR of cheese. 🥴

Hhaha the 30g of bleeping cheese and 40g of oats etc. I'm calorie counting and can't stop doing that rit.
Its stupid in my case though cos I don't bat an eye scarfing down a takeaway pizza from 1* hygiene bossman down the road with probs half a kilo of cheese on top but when i'm making an omelette, jacket etc at home I get twitchy about the thought of a shred too many.

I always look at ordering from the 1* takeaway as a great diet plan as it usually gives you food poisoning and it all comes back out pretty quick 😂

I remember being highly strung over bacon, going at it till it was a dry, mangled mess to make it fit with sw rules... I laughed out loud to see that even with the large on, a rasher of bacon isn't particularly high in cals

I still have issues around using oils. If I watch a salad dressing recipe and see the olive oil I have panic sweats over the thought. Earlier today I made an egg fried rice with a decent amount of oil rather than my usual stingy offering to the non-stick gods - it tasted so much better! I may have to get over myself with the salad dressings.

I notice on that new joint page, there's all this talk of starting fresh & rejoining (which fair enough, rejoining & restarting is hard) but I found this statement odd... "Aaron had a super early working day so he will be joining me at group next Saturday"... No mention of the fact he is a consultant with his own group 🤔
yeah, that first week went well didn't it...

first week and he had a gain... but he thinks he's lost unofficially... what???

I won the euromillions last night, unofficially, but I won it all the same...

meanwhile over on facey....

I’ve just officially hit a 3 stone loss since feb from counting calories 6 days a week, no groups or overnight oats in sight 😂 how do they gain in the first week? First week is always the biggest loss in any diet because all the water comes off!

he is a disgrace.
By 'unoffically' I take it that he used his home scales which said a loss and the SW ones said gain.
Surely he and his wife can't be implying SW scales are inaccurate...
This reminds me of Charles thefoodieslimmer, who before he disappeared said his gain must have been because of the scales being calibrated differently at the group he weighed in at and his regular group.
