I think they’re just as bad in their way. Years ago they introduced a simple points plan that was quite easy to follow and more or less in line with calorie counting, except an easier way of doing it.
Then they tweaked it, calculating the points in such a way that it pushed people into a low carb, low
large, low sugar way of eating - so, 10 bananas didn’t count, but a chocolate biscuit or a slice of toast and butter used up almost a quarter of your points! (Sound familiar?

Now they have lots of different plans that they keep rejigging because really all they want is to get as close to the SW model as possible but they have to keep the long time point counters happy also.
I used to lean more towards WW than SW in the past but I just can’t engage with them at all now.
