Thefoodieslimmer is rejoining SW this month having gained back his initial weightloss and more it appears on his bio. He originally had 16st to lose this time he has 18st to lose...
He was another one like JSG who hid his gain for a year or more by still posting healthy foods and only losses.
Yet, still posted old transformation pics.
He used to be part of the 'slimming world insta elite' and used to hang round with with towers, slimmingworldboy and mrsmummywright et al.
Funnily enough if you look at his pics with other people them you can see he was hiding his gain back then.
Anyone new to SW don't follow, he's far from honest about his journey.

Funny thing is he posted only healthy meals on his grid over them 2 years.
I think he must have starved himself, heavily restricted and destroyed his metabolism in his initial weightloss. He lost his weight very quickly losing 16.5 stone in only 18 months.
I had a scroll down to see what he ate when in full swing with his weightloss and its easy to see where things are going wrong.
This breakfast is from 2017 when he was losing...

The portion difference is massive.
I also suspect hes eating loads of crap he doesn't put on the grid.
Increasing your portions drastically after restricting is never going to be a happy ending.
But yeah 18 stone in 2 years is still bleeping crazy.

I started following a few of these SW insta accounts as I was considering joining online (I’ve changed my mind now). I’m maybe just following the wrong people but it all feels very cliquey and repetitive. Lots of tagging the same people in stories or reposting the same peoples posts to stories and repeat. Also I’ve noticed with quite a few of them that they don’t actually post food pics but it’s all transformation posts or selfies. I like to follow people to look at food 🤣

Apparently on re-joining SW he had DM's warning him about the long term gaining of weight on SW and how it doesn't work for everyone....
Surely he himself is the biggest advert of that 🤔

Also this was his post this time last year...

I think at this point he needs to get away from SW and insta and go to the doctors and get medical help or psychological help for whatever demons he has in his relationship with food.

I find this really sad tbh. I lost 3 stone with slimming world and due to trauma and depression, I gained it back. But my head was never in the right place to do SW again, even though I tried a few times again i actually think it messed me up and the pressure to weigh in front of another person every week made me so anxious. I would walk home from group crying that I hadn't lost any weight.

he should try calorie counting. He'd have a huge allowance for his size and he could lose weight and not feel restricted. That's basically what I'm doing now and it's more freeing.

I genuinely can't believe someone could put on 18 stone in two years. It's like that My 600lb Life, I just can't comprehend how much you would be eating. I thought my binges were bad

Yeah he clearly has massive issues with food or something that makes him turn to good. Tbh he would be a good candidate for weight loss surgery, it’s a last resort but some people do need it

16.5 stone in 2 years is nuts! He should steer clear of slimming world, it obviously doesn't work for him. If you can gain that much weight after coming off a so called "healthy eating" plan then there's something wrong. He must've been eating way too few calories for his size and his body has hit back massively with binges.

As someone has said already he should try calorie counting.

How can anyone gain that much, that's the issue with sw you can sign up and no really checks are made and they don't get that heres Karen on her fifteenth January rejoin after losing and gaining 10 stone as it pays the consultant

He was calorie counting in back july and august unfortunately so clearly that hasn't worked so he has reverted to SW.
His portions went small again in this time period rather than the loaded plates he makes on SW.
For the past 2 years hes rejoined SW 5 times, done calorie counting and the 5:2 diet.
I am sympathetic but would be more sympathetic if he didn't hide he was off plan and posted an honest account.

13st in 2 years is mental. He needs to speak to the Dr and ask for therapy to get to the bottom of the issue.

His portion sizes are ridiculous! The food should be flat on the plate, not layered on top of each other. He’s missing the point massively! Unfortunately SW doesn’t really teach portion control and the books say things like ‘pile your plate high’ and ‘eat as much of this as you like’

His portion sizes are ridiculous. Yes you're supposed to have 1/3 speed but the idea isn't to then pile the other part high instead of across the plate so it fits on 2/3 of your plate!
Scary thing is though portions like this by themselves do not equate to 18 stone in 2 year.
He must be eating that then eating a family size takeaway later on

That is an insane gain and as others have said his portion sizes are ridiculous.

I don't think it's made clear enough what a sensible portion size is sometimes. I know it sounds like common sense but I remember my lovely late fil years ago complaining he didn't know why he couldn't lose weight while tucking into a gigantic bowl of porridge, absolutely drowning in golden syrup. He honestly thought he was eating a healthy breakfast and it didn't occur to him that the size of his portions were part of the problem. I don't think SW help with their unlimited pasta, rice etc especially for people who for whatever reason have a history of over eating.

I lost 3 stone last year and have kept it off but I have had to completely re-educate myself about food and portion sizes and I know that I'll be battling my inner cake lover forever. Losing the weight is only half of the battle.
