Fantastic find. Thanks for sharing the link

I think you are right. It was limited edition. I forgot about that as I am still using one. Isn't there a new watermint one? Not sure if that is limited too
Yes! 😂 I got that water mint one off QVC in a supersize at one point this year cos with my friends discount it worked out cheaper than a normal size, it was really lovely too - really refreshing. They do have it on the elemis official site still

I bought a travel sized elemis balm from amazon a few weeks ago and I'm not a huge fan - it's okay if I'm not wearing makeup but I find it a bit of an effort to remove eye makeup with it and it makes my eyes really watery. I find myself reaching for my superfacialist cleansing oil more often than not. Which btw I've decanted into a small pump bottle - less messy to use as I just squirt out two pumps (lol) and it also lasts even longer as there's less chance of squirting it down the sink. I think it may be my all time HG.

I've been awful with my devices recently (I have a nuface mini and a currentbody LED) - couldn't tell you the last time I used them, but I've recently noticed my pitted scars in my cheeks are almost totally gone - most probably due to dermatica - I've been on it for a year now and have seen a huge improvement in my skin month on month but it's like the scarring has gone really suddenly recently. Best thing I ever did for my skin - and it (mostly) kicked my habit of buying every active serum/toner/peel that I came across in the hope they'd sort out my texture as I've been trying to keep my routine as simple as possible.

I’m having such an awful period of acne at the moment. All on jawline and chin so probably hormone related? I have just bought some niacinamide from the ordinary. Any other products recommended for acne?

I have rapidly ageing skin after a few years of trauma and taking a LOT of medication.
My once olive complexion is now permanently 'ruddy'.
I have very deep wrinkles and v tight dry skin with enlarged pores and jowls as well as crepey neck.
I also have an ocd type habit of picking skin 🙄
I have been unwell for a long time but prompted by a chat on another thread decided to sort through my cosmetics tonight and found an array of products from the ordinary and have put on niacinimide tonight , not sure what to layer it with as needs moisture.
I have squalene and several moisturisers.
I'm not very good at the layering thing, always seem to end up with pilling which kind of exacerbates my skin picking behaviour.
I have very poor self care skills due to my disability, pain and fatigue as well as severe depression which makes it hard to consistently work with a regime so just tend to bung on one product but my face brings me down.
I don't know how to wear make up in order to even out my skin tone. Have always been a sloppy suntan lotion user and am now an ex smoker but think the damage has been done!
Amy advice gladly recieved!

Dry or dehydrated skin - look at getting a spritz/toner in your routine. I use the Elemis ginseng toner on my face (ginseng is great for dehydrated skin - rose water is a lovely spritz) followed by the hado labo super hydrating lotion. Applying it to damp skin locks in the moisture, that’s my holy grail. I love the weleda skin food and it’s designed for dry and rough skin. Even just them 3 steps shouldn’t over complicate your skin and exacerbate your fatigue. I suffer with fatigue and this is probably the one thing I never let slip

You could look at putting in a oil in your routine too, for ageing skin you could look at introducing a retinol into your routine at night. And an AHA would be great if you’re wanting to brighten your complexion. If devices are within your budget etc then head over to the beyond skincare thread - loads of rave reviews for the nuface mini or the current body led mask (i’ve been using this for a month and love it) - they are ££££ but worth it.

My daughter suffered with her skin from wearing a mask for 12 hour shifts and I got her these from asda. Her skin cleared up in a few weeks and honestly looked amazing.

I would recommend la roche posay anthelios as a cheaper price point and obviously LRP is designed by dermatologists and doesn’t leave a white cast (i think they do a tinted version?) if you want something that makes you feel glowy with a slight tint and don’t mind the price tag then i recommend the elizabeth arden city smart prevage spf, has a slight tint and is gorgeous on the skin - I think it’s spf50????

Thirding LRP Anthelios, fantastic stuff
Lovely isn’t it, I’ve had it for at least 5 months and I do four full fingers of SPF over my face n neck and I still haven’t finished the bottle 😂

What is the overall opinion on tropic? I quite like it but those more knowledgeable than I say that it’s not worth the money? I really don’t like the ordinary moisturisers so I need something new. Not sure about la roche posay either, that’s another I hear mixed reviews on

I’ve used the tropic blemish face mask and loved it, not used anything else - I realized since that it is part of a MLM/pyramid scheme, I just bought mine randomly without knowledge of that. I’m not sure I’d want to buy other stuff now if I’m honest

La Roche Posay is great but you’ve got to use the right stuff for your skin. The effaclar cleanser been my morning cleanses and evening second cleanse for years, and I love their anthelios SPF. I’ve used the effaclar duo+ moisturiser which I didn’t mind, but didn’t love

What moisturiser do you use currently and what is your skin type?

So I was using tropic and ran out and the MLM really puts me off too. I’m definitely dry and a little sensitive. I’ve just been whacking Egyptian magic cream on but it’s not really doing it for me x

Have you tried the Weleda skin food? It’s really good price point (less than £15) - you can get it from boots, look fantastic, cult beauty - and I absolutely adore it. It’s really really lovely on the skin and I love the smell x

I have actually I don’t love the light one but I’ve used the darker one for patches, but not tried it as an all over moisturiser if that makes sense?x

Ah I started using it on my face maybe summer time and I’m loving it, I think it’s really helped my skin. I use the darker version (so just skin food) on my face. I’ve read some people think it’s a really good dupe for the bobbi brown enriched face base too x
