€3299 to do that course. 180 hours in studio (how many did Siobhan do considering she missed some days?), 20 hours self directed. 18 people with certs in that photo. €59382. There’s no way none of those people were going to fail, it’s too much of a cash cow. It’s insane that Siobhan passed. It’s like me going to teach Spanish for leaving cert because I use duo lingo everyday??

My original post was that her life is emptier as in she thought she would have the instant relationship with Ned but hasnt and i wondered did she ever reflect on that.

not to get all mumsnet but i had a bbq in the garden with my partner while our 7 month old slept. Partner poured me a wine and we sat relaxing and looked at baby in the monitor, as all parents do we talked about how lucky we are, how did we get a gorgeous baby etc. it was a lovely moment in the madness of parenthood and it hit me that shiv doesnt even get that. Her and Ned co-parents dont even do that. How sad. She can’t even sit with baby daddy and admire their daughter, it must be so empty. My partner drives me mad at times but he is here emotionally and we support each other etc etc but shiv lives alone, is alone with her thoughts

There are plenty of single parents out there, plenty of people who have sadly been widowed or have chosen to do it alone for a variety of reasons. Their lives are not empty because they can’t sit with a partner ffs. I love the banter on these threads but this kind of shite is a current theme & it’s really ignorant & outdated thinking.
