Yep absolutely. @Teaconsumer you're spot on. I really feel for Asher. The whole pregnancy was a breeze, made easier by ad after ad and now the poor kid is not allowed to be a baby without the camera in his face constantly. Sure it would be lovely to have all the essentials taken care of, but Simone doesn't seem remotely grateful or aware of her privilege and does nothing to give back given all the extra opportunities and products she is given. Just constantly grifting and lying, putting forward an unattainable, consumerist and wasteful idea of being a mum.

Simone lasted barely 9 hours before posting Asher's face on Instagram after saying she wasn't sure if she'd post to keep his privacy. What a pathetic joke. Couldn't even go off the gram for 24 hours after giving birth.

Nope “we” haven’t gotten anything wrong. She donated after she was investigated and called out repeatedly for not donating. I think Makaia mentions it in her statement after her and Simone settled in court.

Can I ask if anyone on here actually takes their time to message/contact companies etc that are affiliated with her and ask them why and do they realise she is a fraud? I do….and even one company came back and said they will no longer work with her and she doesn’t align with their company ethos/values. We need to keep doing this!

Me I messaged a NZ company about how disappointed I was that they were using her photos to advertise their clothing as she had defrauded Women’s Refuge and that I wouldn’t be purchasing from companies who are affiliated with her. They responded with a weak message saying she’d purchased the clothes herself at full price. Still doesn’t change the fact they were using her ‘influence’ to generate more business. I’ll keep messaging companies though, what she did was disgusting and makes my blood boil.

Never happened! You go off to a party with five guys you don’t know and all of them “rape” you. You leave your bag and phone behind, you get in a taxi. Correct! Makaia called her out publicly in May 2020 after trying to contact her privately and being ignored. Off the back of their court case, Makaia was able to sight receipts for various donations made by Simone from June 2020 onwards totaling around $22k. Her page was active for four years under the premise of the earnings being donated to Women’s Refuge. Based on how many posts she did daily and the average value, there is speculation (don’t come for me ) that she pocketed well over $100k in profits from selling her gifted shit.

It’s beyond despicable and got swept under the rug by her management team crying foul about her “being bullied” by Makaia. No mistake here except her own grossly dishonest behaviour.

Feel sorry for children of influencers. Used as a monetisation accessory, parent always on phone filming them, the whole of Aotearoa knows everything about them. So sad. And potentially very embarrassing for them when they grow up and are old enough to understand. Not to mention making them a target of bullying from classroom peers.
