How on earth were they recruiting vaccination volunteers? Did Sandra who worked on the checkouts in Morrisons decide to put herself forward for it after seeing his post?
---
Also, he had no idea payments to him would become public record. So that means he did it as he thought it would be kept quiet?

ECC were really murky about the volunteer stuff. Above is from the explainer that went with the publication of the spreadsheets.

From my mithering back in April:
it's interesting how he chooses to centre the 'paying volunteers'/'people onboarding volunteers'.

According to the ECC documents, £16,640.95 went to volunteers. That's give or take 10% of the £163,190.95. There were 28 onwards payments categorised as vaccination centre duties, from March - September 2021.

So the only record he has is that they asked him in July 2021 if he'd be prepared to administer onward funds. Despite the fact he'd been administering onward funds for vaccination duties since, according to the spreadsheet, 22 March 2021.
---
ETA the wording is sus 'pay people who were helping to' - you mean pay your employees. Through Simon, who was essentially a subcontractor.

Hmmm, what's that saying? “It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt”?

Does he really think that bringing MORE attention to this is a good idea?!
Good opportunity for a humble brag though. Whilst he's complaining about the words used to describe him, he's also as subtly as a brick telling us he's been described as a comedian

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the whole thing is to draw attention to the line "well-known comedian".

Good grief. The scale of this meltdown over one bleeping word 😂

Great to see. I haven’t read every word of his latest dissertation (tantrum), but it seems to me that his objections boil down to the use of the word “dubious” and that the councillor stated that Simon got paid half a million quid. I mean, that’s true, Simon. Regardless of what you claim happened to some of that money, it remains a fact that you were paid half a million pounds. There. I said it too. Simon Harris was paid half a million pounds by the council. It’s a verifiable, demonstrable fact. If you were dense enough to get tangled up in some weird arrangement where you were choosing to pay people to help you with whatever the duck it was you were doing, more fool you. Thats totally on you, your stupidity and your duck up. You’ve even admitted as much. So suck it up cupcake and stop embarrassingly scratching around for a technicality to defend the indefensible.

Next up, “dubious”. At this point it’s worth noting that the half a million pounds referred to, was not solely payment for the Essex is United guff. It’s interesting that he only refers to that page as a justification for all of the money when the total figure also included payments for such social media behemoths as;

- This is Your Life, which cost us an eye-watering £70,000 and topped out at 1,500 followers.

- Never too Late Mate, which was described as having little to no engagement in 2 years and set my county council back a whopping £15,000!!!!!

- How about Essex is Smoke Free. £5,000 for 174 measly followers. Thanks, Simon!

- And last but not least, Essex Supports Veterans, for which Simon received £15,000 and drummed up 189 followers. When he tried to defend this page, he bemoaned the fact that nobody gave him any posts to share. Maybe they were expecting a bit more than Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V from the worlds greatest content cweator, Simon.

You’re right on one thing though, Si. Dubious is not appropriate. I’d have gone with criminally fraudulent. And don’t try and pretend that you’ve turned the comments off because you’ve sought expensive legal advice from a lawyer. You’ve turned them off to avoid counter arguments, you lying conman.

Sorry I’ve gone on there. Short version: Simon, you’re a stupid large, grifty, morally bankrupt bleep.

I accidentally picked up a packet of tortiglioni (right) instead of rigatoni (left) and they look the bloody same to me. Absolute scam.
It might be the other way around actually.

Why is this eejit wanting on that he concedes this and that is dubious but the content of the posts isn’t dubious?
Wasn't he responsible for “use your head and get them spread” that slogan is literally a hate crime. And the volunteer recruitment except some volunteers got paid. The community hub in the friends pub.

I'm really tickled by the assertion that a legal representative said "certainly you can post through the bruise to your ego inflicted by Councillor Mackrory, Simon, but good god man keep the comments off"

How can you call yourself a content cweator is the big question. You just jump on bandwagons and steal others work.

This is the social media equivalent of that angry drunk you see swigging from a brown paper bag at 1am, staggering down the street and incoherently yelling a string of expletives as he flails his arms about. And it’s absolutely glorious to watch. One word has sent him into this bitter spiral of passive-aggressive doom. One bleeping word 😂

I’m definitely going to spend the next few weeks crowbarring the word “dubious” into as many conversations as humanly possible.

Has he done the Lynx joke yet? It’s just not Christmas in our house until he recycles the Lynx joke.
