It was like a Dragons Den I watched recently where Tuka Suliman and Gary Neville invested in skips as they could be converted into accommodation for homeless people. Well technically at a push I guess - but the thought of multi millionaires, with no doubt multiple homes, wanting pats on the back for housing people in skips was quite sickening. I thought 'you live in a skip if it's so bleeping great'.

Isn’t it amazing how quickly we can throw up “emergency shelters” when a load of hard-working people need to earn a living at the most commercially profitable time of year for their particular business. It’s astonishing really. And I’ve no doubt whatsoever that if you removed the carrot of revenue generation and explained that the sheds will likely be covered in graffiti, piss and used needles when they’re finished with, they’ll definitely fly up just as fast. Oof indeed, Simon. Bang on sir.

Just imagine the pearl clutching from Simon if a Tory government built a load of uninsulated shacks without running water or toilet facilities and classified them as “shelters”. Idiots.

Sadly, he can play whack a mole and hide them (ss is what you see when you click the three buttons next to a comment on your Bluesky posts). He’ll also be able to detach himself from quote posts. Let’s hope people keep his hiding thumbs busy, so at least a bit of him gets exercise.

Hmm that’s a bit annoying. Oh well, we can’t have everything I suppose. But I think I’m right in saying that him hiding them doesn’t delete them from existence so you can still search his username and see any posts aimed at him. So it’s a step up from facebook.
