Might be an unpopular opinion but why is she accepting the hush money? Not taking the blame off Simon but if she felt so strongly why is she now willing to work with him

I suspect it is because she wants fame more. This is not just money, as we wouldn’t necessarily hear about that. The awkward joint interviews on talk shows with Cowell are about promoting her terrible (IMO) music. She found that too tempting to turn down.

My feeling is that he knows the end is near and has decided to get his affairs in order and ensure that Lauren and Eric are properly looked after, also if he was to become incapacitated due to illness then Lauren wouldn’t have any say or power unless she was married to him. I don’t believe he was in Barbados though, there haven’t been any of the usual photos of him and Sinitta who usually holidays with him was in Dubai I think?

This was my first thought too. He needs time off and this will be the excuse. I’m amazed he made it to the auditions at all.

I can imagine that all sorts of weird stories will come out about him once he's passed away........ which won't be long by the look of him. He lives the strangest existence. I'll never forget those bizarre days after their son was born and they were on a beach somewhere........... Lauren looked exhausted and uncomfortable beyond words, and I remember thinking that he seemed the most thoughtless arse imaginable. She seems to have little say in her own life and I wonder what she gets from it all other than her photo in the DM ......................

She gets paid not to be laid . I agree that we'll probably have to wait until he's dead to find out half of what he's been up to. He has too much money to shut people up whilst he's still breathing imo. I remember the holiday you are talking about - he showed more interested in those two rats on leads and his endless packets of fags.

Tbh, I doubt he has an injunction. Often, if someone is sick, journalists will just skirt around it. For example, I knew Helen McCrory was dying, a relative worked on Peaky Blinders, and I know the press knew too. They just left it alone even though it was an open secret since pre Christmas 2020

Or someone like Simon Cowell, with a v good and massive PR team, can just say to the papers “we’ll give you more access to X & Y if you leave Z alone”. You see it a lot during scandals too, although that’s more of a threat -“if you print that about A, we will withdraw access to B, C & D”

It looks to me like fast weight loss followed by Botox and fillers to deal with excess skin. When you're of a certain age the skin doesn't ping back it just droops.
