Just finished my Pixi Rose ceramide cream, lovely all round moisturiser, not for those who don't like rose scents. A bit pricey at £24 in my opinion but I got on a 30% reduction

Maria Nila colour hair mask in Sand. Will not repurchase, it's too expensive for too little result and I find these colour hair masks such a faff. In theory it sounds good, but then you need to wash, get out, apply it,beauty around while freezing and then continue th shower ... Fir no result way too many steps.

Just finishing the cerave toner. I liked it and is a good price, lasted me ages. I think I like the ren glow toner better but the Cerave one is good for it's price point and made my skin feel hydrated.

Can't believe how much this thread has shifted my attitude. Usually at this time of year I'm looking into the advent calendars and gift sets, now I have a streamlined hg routine with products I am loyal to because they work. Only buying to replace helps too.

2 empties and 3 discards…

YSL make up setting spray - just a small travel size that I got free. I don’t really use setting sprays so I wouldn’t repurchase.

Dr Pawpaw 4 in 1 face serum - travel size received in my subscription box. It was okay, I didn’t think it really did much so wouldn’t purchase the full size.

Kate Somerville Daily Deflector mineral sunscreen SPF 30 - received this in either a beauty kit or my subscription box. This goes on so thickly and leaves a terrible white caste. I’m pale so this is a definite no-no for anyone who is darker than the shade Caspar the friendly ghost! It’s expired now so thrown away. I also usually use SPF50 so I wouldn’t repurchase.

Murad City Skin Age Defense SPF 50 - this wasn’t bad for a face sunscreen. Not too greasy. Tbh I hate the feel of sunscreen on my skin so I’ve yet to find my Holy Grail. It’s expired so had to throw away.

EOS lip balm - it was one of those balms that comes in the ball shaped container. It did what it was meant to do but tbh the dome shape is a bit of a gimmick and when I went to use it last week, I discovered the dome had broken off and is now lodged in the cap rendering it useless. I would not repurchase because I’ve had to throw out 3/4 of the product.

I got gifted a bottle of the Kerastase Chroma gloss and it was lovely, but it's like £45 a pop  So it's a no from me!

I tried the L'oreal Wonder water instead (same type of product, lamellar water) and it is surprisingly really good. Can't go wrong for a fiver on offer in Boots. A noticeable difference when I use this, finished the bottle and going to repurchase.

I've been using this for a couple of years, and love it! I get it on Amazon subscribe and save as it's always around £5 or less, then get a 15% s&s discount. I think the usual £10 is too expensive in Superdrug/Boots etc and hate having to wait around for an offer!

Another month's worth of empty products!

ELF Lash and Roll Mascara - The second tube of this I've finished. I really like this mascara but I've got a couple of different ones to try because I felt like a change.

Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Katie - I've put together a capsule makeup bag with the idea that I can rotate through my blush and eyeshadows, weeding out the stuff I don't like and using up the rest. I'd put this blush in my capsule to try it out. It had cracked previously and it ended up crumbling away to nothing. Shame really.

Farm Stay Real Avocado Essence Mask - A GWP from a Stylevana order. Nice and juicy sheet mask, managed to keep it on whilst checking on the baby and scare the tit out of my OH. Win in my book!

Patchology Flashpatch Hydrating Lip Gel - I bought a lip kit ages ago and this was part of it. Never used a lip gel before and probably won't again. This felt like the jelly part of a Jaffa Cake only slimy and cols. Did absolutely nothing for my lips.

Axis-Y Artichoke Intensive Skin Barrier Ampoule - Absolutely loved this and will repurchase once I've worked through my stash of serums and ampoules. It really helped reduce my redness and take some of the heat out.

Axis-Y Panthenol 10 Skin Smoothing Shield Cream - This is how I wanted Cicaplast to be. Lightweight yet deeply Hydrating, it worked wonders on my skin when my barrier was absolutely fubar after just one application. Would repurchase.

YSL touche eclat le teint foundation-Lovely foundation but too glowy for me so I might try the all hours one next.
Nars creamy concealer-I always buy this but I'm not repurchasing it as I want to try the new MAC concealer.

Belated October empties! Realised I hadn’t used much up, so I went through and culled a bunch while I was supposed to be cleaning the bathroom.

Empties
Ultra Violette supreme screen - holy grail sunscreen, will repurchase once I’ve used some others up
Paula’s choice BHA - nice formula, but I think I prefer an AHA
Skinstitut even blend serum - love this brand, but didn’t see results with this one

Binned
YSL crème de blush in Rose - must have been ten years old 😂 haven’t used it in years. Stunning, used it all the time but never made it through the pot. Pretty sure it was discontinued
Lust mineral blush 1 - don’t like loose powder blush and shade wasn’t pink enough for me
Maybelline brow ultra slim - prefer brush on brow products
Lust cream illuminate - never reached for it
Revlon skin lights face glow sunburst bronze - was influenced to buy this, but I don’t use bronzer 🤦🏻‍♀️
UV Queen Screen - past use by, too glowy for me
Loving Tan bronze shimmer cream - gift with purchase, shade was wrong for me
Clinique smart moisturiser spf15 travel size - gift with purchase. It’s nice enough, but feels (and smells) more like a sunscreen than a moisturiser and only spf15, so not worth the effort

Nature Love Vitamin B forte - counting this here as I had specifically bought it for my hair. Tasted vile, don’t think it did anything, good riddance!

Also used up and declutterred some makeup sponges and eyebrow razors. The razors I like and have repurchased multiple times, still have two left.

  • Maria Nila Structure Repair Hair Mask (great but needs to be used up, has been open for ages)
  • Missha BB Cream Bright Beige (similar, I think I've had this since 2019 :censored:)
  • Maybelline Fit Me Powder in 115
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 03
  • Inkey List glycolic acid toner
  • Inkey List polyglutamic acid serum
  • Jean & Len Leave In Spray
And an unexpected empty today, the Inkey List polyglutamic acid - it's an airless pump so you can never quite tell when it'll be empty. I liked this a lot in the past but never quite could find a good spot in my routine, plus suspected it's giving me blocked pores. Won't repurchase for now.

Emma Hardie Lift & Sculpt Firming Neck treatment - I received this in my subscription beauty box. As I’ve found with all neck products so far, this did nothing. I did like the roller applicator though. I would not repurchase.

The Seated Queen Cold Cream Cleanser Mask - I received this in my Liberty Beauty Drop. I used it as a cleanser rather than a mask. I used it for a week and got 3 spots so I stopped using it. I went back to it a couple of months later and no spots this time. I do prefer a cream cleanser to a gel but this left my skin feeling a little tight. There are other cream cleansers that I prefer, so I‘d not repurchase.

Lisa Eldridge Skin Enhancer Cleanser - I received a sample sachet with my make up order. I love Lisa and I really wanted to love this but it just didn’t wow me. At £43 for a full size I was expecting more and I just felt it was no better than a budget cleanser. I’m so pleased I had a sample to try first. I’d not repurchase.

Tarte Lip gloss - binned. This has been in my handbag for years. 😳 I’ve left it in there as an “emergency” lip colour in case I forget my lipstick when I’m out. I’ve never used it and I have much nicer products so out it goes!

Byoma rich moisturiser, I really liked this and seemed to last me ages. Good for the price. Would repurchase but have about 50 others to use first.

Ole henrickson banana eye cream. Not sure it actually did anything but made my under eyes quite soft. The pot lasted me about 10 months so well worth the price for cost per use.

Neil's yard bubble bath - my favourite bubble bath range, makes your bathroom smell amazing.

Ogx argan shampoo and conditioner, this range has meant I can go 3 days without washing my hair and has made it feel lovely. Will buy again once I've used the kerastase I've had in the cupboard for ages. I've put off starting to use it incase I love it as the price is so high 😂

Well, not proud of it, but I decluttered the Missha BB Cream today. I think it expired or something, for the past few weeks I had been making an effort to use it, but it often came out of the little pump not smoothly like it used to, but spritzing all over the place and with bits of oil separated. I tried kneading the tube to emulsify it again and mix it on the back of my hand, but lost my patience with it this morning, after four pumps of mess on my hand. bought ~ 2019 and it says it expired Oct-2021 on the tube, so.... shouldn't be surprised. I should have bought the smaller version, but as usual, I bought the bigger one as it's better value, someday I learn that lesson.

Geek and Gorgeous HA Rich serum. Not sure it is any different than my favorite Inkey List HA serum, might need to try their Light HA serum to see a difference. Will not repurchase for now, I’ve got a Revolution London one lined up.

A bar of Dove Beauty Cream Bar soap, I love this stuff and have been using it for many years in my shower every day. Wasn't in stock, so off to a Nivea one now.

Benetint. I think I remember someone saying how quickly they’d used one up not so long ago and I thought it odd as when I last used it almost every day (some years ago now) it still lasted me forever. Turns out the new formula (it’s much less pigmented and has a different applicator) is a rip-off compared to the old - what a surprise eh! I have many other shades to use up but it’s not worth the price tag anymore given the wide range of makeup options available now.
