Glow Recipe Avocado melt sleeping mask - had this so long I think it’s been discontinued! It was just a small GWP size. Made zero difference to my skin.

BioEffect EGF Serum - received this in my beauty subscription box. If you use too much it feels tacky on the skin but if you use just enough it’s fine and you don’t need anything else at night. This did appear to soften my lines, especially one of my number elevens. I would repurchase but it is very expensive and I’ve lots in my stash to use first. Once they’re used up I may have a splurge rather than looking for a cheaper “holy grail”.

Wow, just had a Google, damn that's spendy 🤣🤣

Glow recipe papaya cleansing balm - I really liked this, has a subtle scent, doesn’t sting your eyes and removes sunscreen and make up well. Can get balms for cheaper though so probably wouldnt repurchase
Nalas baby vanilla cloud body cream, I love this , so moisturising and rich and a great price. Lasts ages too.
Byoma cleansing jelly face wash - nice but I think a bit too stripping for my dryer skin and not creamy enough for me. Lasted absolutely ages though.
Agustinus Bader the rich cream - I got this in a space nk advent calendar. The price is ridiculous (£77 for 15ml). I would never spend that much on any skincare and didn’t find it very good to be honest. So many great moisturisers out there for a fraction of the price. Overhyped and overpriced.

Just finished my no7 derm solutions hydration lotion. Got this on an absolute bargain, it was free with any no7 purchase. I bought a no7 face mask for £4.99 and got the lotion worth £22 free.
I’ve used every single morsel and really like it. Quick to absorb, non greasy, and I genuinely think my skin looks better and hasn’t broke me out in ANY spots.

One empty:
Votary Natural Glow Day Cream - I received this in my subscription box. This is such an odd product. On the very first application I thought I’d applied a night cream by mistake as it was so thick and left my face white. It did sink in within a few minutes but it just didn’t leave my skin feeling as moisturised as usual. Certainly no “glow” and more of a tightness which is odd considering how thick it is.
I wouldn’t repurchase and, if I received it in another beauty box, then I’d sell it or give it away. Not for me.

Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Atomic Heat Mask - travel size, I received this as a GWP years ago. 😳 I struggled to squeeze it out of the tube and when I did get some out it was a scrub like consistency so I guess it’s gone off. Binned.

Geek and Gorgeous C-Glow serum, the best vitamin C serum that I know of, especially at the price point. Already have a new bottle lined up!

Pureology Color Fanatic leave in conditioner. Almost got the end of the 200ml spray bottle. I bought it on YouTuber Blowout Professor’s recommendation.

This stuff is fantastic for my blow drying. A little goes a long way. One of the best hair care products I’ve ever used. Lasted me maybe a year or so, of 3x weekly applications. Leaves my hair really soft.

I’ve just bought two more bottles (one to keep at home and one for the travel bag).

Sukin Signature Face Moisturiser: Love, love, LOVE it. I hate the feeling of greasy, heavy moisturiser as I have oily skin and I'm prone to spots. The first time I put it on I thought it was for the bin because it felt oily. But it sinks in like a dream, and leaves an almost matt finish. It lasts ages (bought this bottle in March, and I use one pump/day.) Already bought my second bottle.

Molton Brown Ylang Ylang Bath & Shower gel - it was fine but I do think MB are overpriced. I wouldn’t repurchase but would use again if I received it as a gift.

Makeup Revolution hyaluronic acid serum. Bought this in bulk during Black Friday off Amazon, it’s very good for the price. Still have two bottles left. It’s not as good as the Inkey List’s HA serum, but a third of the price…

Sachet of Reviderm Double C vitamin C serum I got as a sample from my facial place. Amazing stuff. Bit pricey for me currently and too happy with the Geek and Gorgeous vitamin C serum anyway.

Empties for the month of January!

Haruharu Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream - I used this as a night cream as it's on the thicker side. Despite being thick it was creamy and seemed to absorb well but it left a weird film on my skin which I didn't like. I wouldn't repurchase it.

Numbuzin No.3 Skin Softening Serum - This was a thin serum that I used during the day before moisturiser. I'd hoped the niacinamide in it would help with the unevenness from my rosecea but sadly it didn't. I wouldn't repurchase it.

Nature Spell Rose Water Facial Toner - I know Rose Water has anti-inflammatory properties so I had hoped this would help with my rosecea. It didn't really do a whole lot, it even made my skin feel dry after application. I wouldn't repurchase it.

Numbuzin No.4 Collagen 73% Pudding Serum - Similar to the no. 3 serum this one is thin and I used it under my night cream. It was nice enough, I don't think it particularly did anything so I won't be repurchasing.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara in Very Black - This was part of a GWP. I've never had any luck with Maybelline mascaras and this one was no exception. I found it too wet to start with so it built up too much bulk on the wand. The wand itself was a good size and plastic which I liked but it was too flexible. It moved with the slightest pressure which made it hard to comb through my lashes. Safe to say I wouldn't repurchase.

In addition to using up my products I'm using days I'm at home to road test all of my makeup products to weed out products I don't like or that have expired. I have decluttered the following products this month:

Spectrum Collections Feline Fatale Eyeshadow Palette - This remove 9 eyeshadow pans from my collection total, now 146 pans. This eyeshadow palette is nice but it's too warm for me and most of the colours look similar on my eyes. The shimmers are pretty but I couldn't get them to stick to my eyes. This was a GWP, I don't think I would have actually purchased this. I've not had this long so I'm going to pass it on.

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Sunkissed Bronzer - This was within a GWP. I found it kicked up a lot of powder when I put my brush in it and I also found it to be heavily fragranced. That being said I'm going to pass this on as the colour is totally wrong for me, it looks straight up orange.

Hur Moist Ampoule Blusher in Rose Brown - This was a product in my Stylevana advent calendar in December 2024. I was excited to try this as the colour looked like something I would like. The formula is like a serum and whilst it's a relatively deep colour, I struggled to build up pigment on my skin even though I'm whiter than Casper. I also noticed that the product disappeared throughout the day so I'm going to pass it on.

Picked up my Cicaplast Baume earlier after maybe 2 months of it sitting and it’s turned to pure liquid. If you shake it it just sloshes like water. Very strange. Anyway, that’ll be going in the bin and won’t be replaced as it’s just not a product I need.

I do highly rate the hand cream version which is almost an empty. It makes hands silky smooth. Up there with L’Occitane Shea and Neutrogena Norwegian Formula - shame it doesn’t smell as good otherwise it’d be a staple.

Recently emptied a Sanctury Spa wet skin miracle and have replaced. This is a staple. I find myself much more inclined to use this than apply moisturiser once dry.

Agree, it’s a brilliant hand cream. I like it better than the L’Occitane, but it’s such a shame it’s so clinical and boring 😂

I finished mine towards the end of the year and replaced it. I’ve been through loads of tubes.

3 empties:

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel - I received this in my beauty subscription box. It did the job but left my skin a little tight. I prefer cream cleansers rather than gels so I will not repurchase.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask - travel size. Did no more than a bog standard night moisturiser. I believe it’s been discontinued but I’d not repurchase anyway.

Votary Super Seed Nutrient Cream - 2 sachets. It was okay. It moisturised my skin but it hasn’t tempted me to buy the full size.

I’m not getting many repurchases! 😳😆

Collection invisibrow-Only bought this as my normal eyebrow pencil wasn't in stock. It was ok for the price but I wouldn't buy another one.

Garnier Whole Blends 1liter pump bottle of the Oat shampoo. Love this, but I like the kids version even better, which sadly isn't available in ridiculous sizes, so I've the regular size as a backup. I've dacanted about 1.5 weeks worth of shampoo from the pump bottle into another small one as the pump (of course  ) wasn't getting the last bit.

Discarded:
Clinque Chubby Stick highlighter - too pale for me so didn’t really use it.
Stila colour correcting primer - couldn’t see that it did anything.
Iconic blush stick - received this in a beauty box and the colour didn’t really suit me.

Given away:
Pixi Retinol Tonic - not sure if this really does anything. I’m still using up one and received a 100ml one in a GWP or box so gave it away.

Olaplex bonding oil- Wasn't a fan of this for some reason it seemed to just sit on my hair and took a while to sink in. Much prefer the Ouai hair oil.
Eco hair gel- love this! keeps my hair in place and doesn't dry it out, so I'm onto my second tub.
