Used up 2 perfumes this week. A Tom Ford one that I’ve had for ages; loved it when I got it, but grew to really dislike it over time.
And a Jo Malone pomegranate one. Really like it but I know a lot of people who wear it also, so I probably won’t buy it again.

I've also get seborrheic dermatitis and the Aveeno wasn't good for me. It also did nothing to make my hair look or feel good.
I can use H&S fairly long term and Vosene and BS Ginger for a month or so at a time. Selenium Sulfide Selsun is my go to if I get a flare up and it generally clears it quickly, it used to be on prescription but now you have to buy it on Amazon. Betacap lotion helps if it's really bad.

I'm desperate to find something 'off the shelf' that doesn't scream "dry scalp" from the bottle and smell/feel medicated but spend a fortune on things that used to work or that'll work for a week then flare me. I might give this Garnier a bash for the price, I remember the conditioner being alright 🤞
The Aveeno didn’t work for me either. The only one that helps me is Keratase dermo calm. Pricey but it lasts me at least 4 months.
Empties for me this week:
The Ordinary hyaluronic acid: I found this very gloopy. The inkey list one is better so I won’t be repurchasing
M&S apothecary calm body wash. Absolutely loved this, have purchased more of the range to try
BeautyPie Japanfusion cleanser: I’ve repurchased this about 15 times, I can never be without it and it is the sole reason I have a beautypie subscription. I absolutely adore cleansers but this is a firm favourite

Just used up my first tube of AKT London natural deodorant balm. Messy n the tube is annoying, but I like it and tempted to set up a subscribe n save to it.

A product I wish was empty:
  • A Carrefour shower gel I got on holiday last year. It's sweet almond fragrance and I definitely remember it being marzipan-ish, but now I'm using it up, it's not, it just smells chemically. It's a massive bottle, too.

REN Frankincense night cream.
This was a GWP travel size.
I wasn’t keen on the smell so wouldn’t purchase but I’d use it if I got it again in a GWP or in a beauty box.

Dermaviduals Face and Body Cleansing Creme sample size. I got this as a gift from my facial place and it was surprisingly good. Only used it on my face, not drying at all and with a pleasant citrus smell. Lasted me ages, nearly three months. Gong back to my trusty CeraVe cleanser but would use this again.

The Estee Lauder Supreme+ night cream.

Hated it with a passion. Overpowering smell, really greasy, took ages to sink in and did nothing for my skin. I only kept using it because it didn't irritate my skin and I layered serums underneath it and popped it on top but I could do that with a cheaper moisturiser. Will not repurchase.

The same for the Estee Lauder Night Repair serum, I found it absolutely useless.

The tube is a disaster!!! Good product though.
Isn’t it just? Causes so much wasted product which they try and upsell you a special tool for, to get it all out? I mean its product I’ve paid for? I took it upon myself to try and cut the tube open but its sharp as hell and I cut my palm 🙈

I really like dermaviduals! Really impressive on dry skin

Body shop coconut shower gel - not a scent I enjoy, glad it’s used

Revolution caffeine eye serum - I don’t have bad dark circles but I’m starting to notice a need for extra moisture, this did the trick but I won’t specifically repurchase this one
clinique turnaround revitalising instant facial face mask - actually really liked this one, was a bit scrubby when you washed it off but can’t be bothered with wash off masks. I’ve one brand new one from last advent calendar to go now but it will take forever as it’s a clay one so I’ll only use on my nose. I like the idea of something mildly scrubby once a week but going to see if regular glycolic toner will suffice first.

Origins ginzing moisturiser (advent calendar) - nice and cooling but strong scent and had a lot of piling problems
Cetaphil face wash mini x2 (gifts with purchase) - can’t get excited by face wash but nice enough. I’m down to one face wash now 😊

Amla hair oil - supposedly used by Indian women to promote hair growth and strengthen hair - can’t confirm or deny because I found ordinary scalp serum and switched to that for regular use. My god does this stuff stink, and it’s green.

Finished my last skin&me tube before trying differin.

Also finished up a tub of Elemis pro collagen night cream. I had a sample and really loved it so bought the full size but now I'm kinda over it. It pilled over my skin&me regardless of how long I left it between steps and over time I started to dislike the smell. I still have the day cream to finish...

How are you getting skin and me?
I just ordered it via their site using some influencer discount code.

I did like it but I wanted it specifically for tretinoin and my dose was so low it probably wasn't worth it. Differin is also a retinol and *may* be as good as tretinoin but there's not much research about it yet so time will tell!
