Glow Recipe Avocado melt sleeping mask - had this so long I think it’s been discontinued! It was just a small GWP size. Made zero difference to my skin.

BioEffect EGF Serum - received this in my beauty subscription box. If you use too much it feels tacky on the skin but if you use just enough it’s fine and you don’t need anything else at night. This did appear to soften my lines, especially one of my number elevens. I would repurchase but it is very expensive and I’ve lots in my stash to use first. Once they’re used up I may have a splurge rather than looking for a cheaper “holy grail”.
Wow, just had a Google, damn that's spendy 🤣🤣

Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Atomic Heat Mask - travel size, I received this as a GWP years ago. 😳 I struggled to squeeze it out of the tube and when I did get some out it was a scrub like consistency so I guess it’s gone off. Binned.

Random Q. When a jarred product has a plastic hygiene cover, as opposed to a peel off foil one, do you leave it in after you've opened it or bin it?

Rubbing with surgical spirit on an old facecloth definitely works. I used this method on my old Naked Basics pallette, it takes all the coating off back to the hard shiny plastic.

Sad to read about the Revolution Ceramides cleanser, I've been enjoying it as a second cleanse.
I tried everything, nothing worked. Then whenever I opened one of the compacts the plastic started crumbling and the metal hinges fell out. It put me off using them so depotting was a last ditch effort before they went in the bin.

The Revolution Cleanser is a weird one. I loved the initial bottle I bought so went and bought another two on sale. Unfortunately the reformulated version just wasn't the same. It was thin but clogged the pump. The longer I used it, the more difficult it became to wash off.

Has anyone got any tips for decluttering makeup products? I have no issues chucking skincare or haircare products that don't work for me but trying to declutter my makeup and feel so guilty about it 🙈

I’m still looking for a savey niacinamide that I like because I know that it’s an amazing ingredient, but can’t find anything in my price range that gives me the results I know it’s capable of.
are you after a product with just niacinamide or happy to use something that contains other things? What are you wanting to achieve with it?

The Ordinary GF 15 solution - loved it. Emptied the bottle in four weeks (twice/day application). I feel like it's really made a difference to my eye area already, tightened it up. I've started a second bottle.
I’ve been looking at this. Do you use it with other actives and does it sit ok with them?

Inkey List BHA serum. This was my second or third bottle, I like it but won’t repurchase as my skin started to react to it halfway through the bottle. Shame, I liked it and it did a great job helping with blackheads, I had to use it up on my legs.

Alverde Calendula chapstick. I’ve lost count of how many I’ve had of these, I think I’ve bought this for ten years now, maybe longer. Undulating, good lip care that doesn’t smell and taste bad to me. I’ve a problem with scented stuff or those that are supposed to taste like something and this one only very slightly smells like wax to me for a minute.

Aveeno calming serum- repurchase on repeat thanks to Amazon subscribe. My skin just likes it and feels like a nice base for moisturiser which is another empty on repeat-Weleda light skin food.
My skin is so reactive so am sticking to what I know works now which does save me money as otherwise I’d be buying all the hyped up latest products!
I keep toying with Weleda skin food. I love a heavy moisturiser that leaves a glow but not one that sits on top and is oily. Do you think the light would fit that?

I tried to depot some Nars products as the rubberised packaging had gone all sticky and nothing would remove the stickiness.

I always forget about this thread and I just finished a body scrub too.

Tropic body polish - Tropic is a bit like Avon and we have a neighbour that sells it. I don’t bother with most stuff but I buy this on repeat and use it every 7-10 days. It’s so gentle and mega hydrating.

Hari Haru oil cleanser - Nice enough but doesn’t deal with waterproof mascara. Wouldn’t repurchase.

Beauty Pie super healthy skin body crème - I buy this on repeat, I smell is out of this world and it feels like such a treat. However BP have recently made changes and have gone mega downhill so won’t be renewing my membership. There is always tons on Vinted so will take my chances buying from there.

Nivea Love Sunshine shower gel - it’s the smell, it smells like holidays and I adore it. Only £1.30 at Superdrug on offer at the moment so bought loads more for me and treated my daughter as she loves it too. Let’s face it, you can’t go wrong with a Nivea shower gel.

Would love to know your current thoughts on Beauty Pie? I used to have a subscription but cancelled about 3 years ago, but was considering going back as there are a few things I really miss (Detox shampoo, Happy Face moisturiser, face powder and some of the serums).

How are you getting skin and me?
I just ordered it via their site using some influencer discount code.

I did like it but I wanted it specifically for tretinoin and my dose was so low it probably wasn't worth it. Differin is also a retinol and *may* be as good as tretinoin but there's not much research about it yet so time will tell!

They do testers where you can get a small tube and just pay for postage. Be mindful though that you need to allow your body to adjust to using a more natural deodorant
I can’t find testers on their website, do you have a link please? I’m in the UK, so maybe it’s different!
