What is the weirdest/irritating question you’ve received on Vinted?

I’ll go first, and of course I have a plethora of weird and irritating questions to pick from, but the absolute best has to be:

Q: How long is this pencil case?

A: Long enough to fit a pencil in.
Not weird but the amount of 'will it fit me as I have quite a large/small X' astound me. How the hell would I know - I am sitting in my PJs listing probably 150 miles away and have never met you.

Sorry this is about selling on CEX but I didnt know where to post it! My daughter bought some Apple headphones 2 years ago from CEX online. She no longer needs them so has decided to sell them back via CEX. Apparently she sent the headphones off to them as requested in the original box etc. They have emailed her today saying that they (CEX) have decided to recycle them because there is an issue with the serial number so she wont be getting an payment for them and her account is now being monitored and flagged for fraud! So she will not receive any payment and has lost a pair of headphones worth £150. Obviously she is devastated, she is a student trying to make ends meet and is absolutely distraught. Any advice? She cant get hold of anyone at CEX

I know this is going to make me sound so stupid, but I only just realised yesterday that most photos of people in their clothes on Vinted are AI models. I was like - why is everybody so thin and gorgeous and have these minimalistic and tidy homes? Then I just noticed how smooth and tanned their skin was and I was like…. Ok hold up. Now you can’t unsee it! And all the fake bedrooms have the same brick walls and papyrus grass in a vase! Anyway doh.
Yes these are the pictures that usually sell fakes and are drop shippers, that's why Vinted has changed for the worse. You're not allowed to post pictures from the website, but can use AI it's ridiculous tbh

So someone ordered a bundle of things I had up a while, surprise, surprise a non collection. I have a feeling it's someone I have upset lol,no reviews,no sales etc. I really think there should be some sort of payment put in place whereby if they don't collect they still have to pay a set amount. Even if it's a couple of pound, that would stop it. I did message to say I had sent, not even read. Sent her a message this morning to say they'll be on the way back and don't expect me to collect either. Yes,it's petty but I am sick of these people wasting my time

I chipped my front tooth over 20 years ago and the filling decided to come out during my lunch break today 😭

Good job I made that £150 on vinted 😅 Actually dreading how much it's going to end up costing!

Would be today I get my first SNAD. Quite funny though, they've said it's in perfect condition and exactly as described but have wrong sized me. It's labelled as a 14 and I listed it as a 14 but it comes up small and I didn't mention it. Fair enough I didn't mention it, because I didn't measure it, but I tend not to bother unless it's a letter size because life's too short. Lesson learned. They've written an 150 word issue description including uploading a screenshot of the Boden size guide to say that it doesn't meet the Boden size guide. Take it up with Johnny Boden then lol?

Feel like I'm being a dick but I've said they can pay for return shipping. Dreading them popping up to kick off about it now but I'll see you in Vinted court if you do lol. Why you wouldn't just resell I don't know

Making a rod for all our backs. And not just a millionaire squabbling over 50p, but actively boasting about it and encouraging others to do the same. Vinted is now a sewer thanks to people like her. Fucking influencers

I listed something on Friday afternoon and had a 40% off offer within 2 mins of it being uploaded. Ignored it and 5 mins later someone came and bought it full price. Linen-cotton mix dress worn once being sold for £10 which is a perfectly reasonable price!

If you can’t afford £10 then search for £6 and below.
Exactly. There's a filter button for this very reason. It's like going into Gucci or Chanel knowing you're not a millionaire just stick to Primark. Thing is there's obviously people accepting these offers or they'd not keep sending them

Does this work ? I am so tempted to start not accepting the returns people do not collect
I had two around Christmas, and I just never confirmed receipt. Weeks, probably even months went by and I assume the buyer chased Vinted and it was closed/cancelled I guess manually by vinted so she got her refund, but yes, i’m not going to make it easy for these time wasting fuckers.

Questions for those who sell. I have purchased a grand total of three things on Vinted. I paid full price because they were so cheap already I felt like I was being rude paying what I did. I have lots of clothes that I was now thinking of putting up myself. I want rid of them but having read these threads I can see that most people make offers. Do you put your items up slightly higher so you get an acceptable offer? Does everyone make an offer? Is it worth the hassle. My local charity shop is overwhelmed and I don’t want to just throw out expensive clothes. It’s not design stuff - just high end high street like Zara, boden etc. but I am still going to donate what I get so want to get a good total. Is it worth the hassle?
If you are going to donate the money from your clothes then I think a way to make this a lot easier and more efficient for you would be to donate the clothes directly to the charity Smart Works. This organisation provides clothes and advice for women getting back into the workplace. It is supported by many women I know and it entirely reputable. Your quality clothes would be used by women going to interviews and needing to feel confident. It's what I have done with my smarter more formal clothes.

Sold two more items, too! Thank you heat wave keeping everyone inside. 😎

I have two high value bits left that I would really like gone and then the rest I'm not fussed about.

It's funny isn't it,that people have "the time" to send multiple offers, and messages like "have you sent yet" in under 24 hours since they bought it. But then suddenly they don't have the time,to collect it or okay the item. Very strange 🙄🤔

When you’re taking photos of items for vinted and your dad walks in on you in the bedroom to tell you your tea is ready 😂

(I saw this and couldn’t help take a screenshot)
