Sometimes I browse the various threads on this website, and I have absolutely no idea who the majority of these people are. However I came across this particular thread of this woman, which I found most amusing.

I wanted to share it with you, because this woman is an influencer, and today in her stories, she is influencing her followers to get on to Vinted and make really cheeky offers. Apparently, today is a good day to get on Vinted and throw out ‘crazy’ offers, because they’re being accepted.

So we’ve got people like this to thank for the 40% club. Fucking vultures. Her name is Jess Warner. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

Honestly, the culture on Vinted continues to repulse me. This woman contacted me for information that not only was in the title but also in the pictures. My response was curt, which of course she did not like, but look at the response and what this reveals - this is the problem with Vinted which is probably a refection of society in general:

That in a nutshell this is how the majority of buyers on Vinted think. They are doing seller a favour buying YOUR things. I actually think they begrudge having to pay anything at all. They should just have your stuff in their hot little hands, and quickly.
This is why when they don't get their 40% discount, they immediately lose interest. Or if they do really want it and have to buy it at the asking price, they won't release the funds by accepting the order, making you wait 48hours, and don't give you feedback. The petulance.

I had a woman last week send me a 40% off offer, and I responded saying - that's 40% off? She replied to say 'yes I am haggling with you'. I gave her £5 off and she accepted. I think people like her are now a rare case. I don't think people who throw out these 40% off offers are haggling. That is the discount they want, and anything less they will turn their noses up to.

Sorry for the long post but I've had two 40% off offers this morning, which I counter offered and of course they are no longer interested. And another person who has bundled three things, coming to £48, which they automatically got 10% off, as I have bundle offers enabled when a lot of people don't, which came to £43, so essentially one item completely free. She wanted another £4 off. I said no, which she has read.

I'm confident the biggest item out of the three will sell today, so I am not that bothered but the attitude stinks. It really makes me sick.

My first return coming back from the USA so should be interesting. A vintage dress she claims has snags in the chiffon (I have checked and they were not there on the photos before I sent it). It auto defaults to buyer pays return so no option for me to pay for it (I wouldn't anyway) but I think it is is going to be expensive for them to return.

"how about I partially refund you 4p" I nearly fell out of bed as the message notification popped up while having my first coffee before it clicked what they (well I bloody hope so) meant 🤣

What is the weirdest/irritating question you’ve received on Vinted?

I’ll go first, and of course I have a plethora of weird and irritating questions to pick from, but the absolute best has to be:

Q: How long is this pencil case?

A: Long enough to fit a pencil in.
How wide are the leg holes in the shorts 🙄
Will these trousers make me look like gentlemen ?
Will this fit a transgender man ?
Can you send a picture of the inside of the shorts 🙄

New one today, someone messaged me to tell me that one of my things (bit of ceramic) is worth a lot more than what I've got it listed for. I mean, I take your point, and that's nice of you and thanks but I might agree to disagree as no fuckers bought it, it's been sat there for 2 months as I've price dropped it 🤣

‘Do you have a photo of this on?’

I reply ‘I’m sorry I don’t’

‘Could you try it on now, as unfortunately I can’t buy it unless I’ve seen it on’

Then don’t buy it 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

It’s a cropped trench coat if you google it you can see what it looks like on.

If I’ve a photo of it on I will upload it with the listing.
I’m a intervert so no way would I put photos of my self wearing a item of clothing I’m flogging for less then a fiver 😂😂😂

Yeah, notice how there is no 40% off button. Just a 5% and 10% off. So these bastards are actually calculating 40% off, which makes them even WORSE. BASTARDS!!!
Na, bet it's because when you go to make an offer and start typing it shows at the bottom what the lowest you can send is

Anyone else seeing the same items constantly in their home feed, even though they're not bumped? There's a couple of tops that keep coming on mine every time I look,I feel like buying them just to stop seeing them 😂

I’ve just put two pairs of wide leg summer trousers on. Ten minutes later both have an offer for half what I’ve asked for. Get lost!!
Also I try and post same or next day but I ended up trying four inpost lockers before I found one with space tonight. Then ten minutes after I post I get a message to say it’s been collected so they must have had someone collecting late on.
on the plus side the final inpost locker i tried has an Evri, Royal Mail and dpd locker in the same place!! I’ll never need to speak to anyone again 🤣

I've made a grand total of two sales this week 😅

Interestingly, both buyers initially sent offers which I declined and they ended up buying at the price I was asking for anyway

I recently sold a dress that had photos with measurements using a tape measure. You could clearly see both sides of the tape measure. I got a star knocked off my feedback saying it was bigger than described in the photos.

Item up for £25 (brand new boxed, retailed at £50, now out of stock) and I had an offer for £15 so I declined. Then got “what’s the lowest you’ll take then?” err how about £25 as it’s already a good deal?!
It was an unwanted present so part of me feels I should just take anything for it but equally it’s a decent item for a good bargain already!
