Damn, had a parcel chewed up by evri, my buyer got a notification that its been too badly damaged in transit to deliver.

Thoughts on how vinted will handle it?

Parcel was 1 small item in a small padded envelope. Not sure if the buyer has any image of the damage from evri or just the email notification which they've uploaded when they suspended the transaction.

Not the end of the world if I don't get paid as was sold for under £5 and was part of a Carboot bundle that had a few item's not my size despite being sold as all one size.

How are people listing vintage stuff on Vinted, I have a few 80s and 90s odds and sods that just aren't getting views and I feel like I'm missing a trick? Like are there particular brand name tricks or keywords that are used? I know people list vintage homeware under Reclaimed Vintage and so on

Would I be a twat to give someone four stars? Luckily item is absolutely fine but she sent it bare (as in not in its own plastic bag or anything) in a standard A4 office envelope, and the envelope was ripped to shit when it arrived.

I buy and sell 80s and 90s clothing and usually swap back and forth between the actual brand category and the Vintage Dressing category. There are also categories for 1980s 1990s 2000s, but I've never sold anything using them. If it's a brand with multiple labels - say St Michael and M&S - I might move the St Michael item over to M&S and call it 'vintage M&S Skirt'. Same with Primark and Atmosphere. C&A and any of their sub-labels, etc.

Make sure you use keywords like '80s 1980s eighties' and then stuff like 'goth whimsigoth dark academia secretary picnic retro vintage madras whatever'. Watch similar items with lots of favourites and take note of the terms they use.

Ultimately though, I relist a lot. I've yet to get a warning about it.
Oooh I didn't know there were categories by decade. How could I find them please ?

Also, I feel like lowballing on a breakable is really fucking stupid if you actually want the item. I mean, I suppose it's no skin off their nose if it turns up shattered because I skimp on bubblewrap cos they're no good 40% offering skinflints, and they'll get a refund anyway, but presumably you do actually want to own the nice thing so you want it to arrive in one piece?

Another " What's the material composition" if I don't state it it or picture it there isn't one usually. I don't mind as I only buy cotton but if you're going to ask, make sure your own listings tell me !

I sold a top to a lady for her holiday, polite request, no issue there, and I posted in plenty of time. It took relay 2 days to collect and a further 3 before it said the parcel was on the way. Delivered today. The day she went away....
How long do you get to collect with Relay? Not that I know how long her holiday is.
Just wondering how long I'll now be waiting for it to come back.

With your other listings, it could be anything. It's not certain (as in Vinted have never said officially, but it's pretty much accepted) that when you post something it's pushed out to a smaller group of people and then if they interact with it (click onto the listing / favourite it) it gets pushed out to more and more people. So if nobody in that first group happens to be interested, it tends to flop. It really is luck of the draw and you're best off deleting and resisting.
That's interesting, thank you! 😊

Help needed. A buyer has just suspeneded a transaction as it doesn't fit her. The measurements were on the listing (it is vintage so no size label). The only options it is giving me is to refund her/part refund her or ask for a return. I thought I didnt have to refund if it didn't fit but not sure how I do that . thanks

Happily I've been paid this morning, and I'm assuming the buyer has been refunded too since they left me feedback good feedback (personally I'd rather they maybe didn't since its 5* and just "good" which feels a bit contradictory).

Really need to sort out another pile of stuff to get listed before summer really kicks in.
Oh wow that's good then. I posted something over 6 weeks ago that's still not completed lol

Honestly Vinted is out to get me I swear 😂 I said I going away Saturday the lost parcel debacle will drag out another month now,so that's over £80 I won't see till mid July. Now my payments for stuff okayed this week isn't going into my balance. Just fuck off now

People are using them for all sorts now, I see them for all sorts of high street brands (not just the hyped stuff that is getting faked, but just people using it to flog their unwanted FatFace top?). Massive tell is the model holding the phone in front of their face for a mirror selfie, or the hand in the front pocket that's slightly too far down the arm
