I listed something on Friday afternoon and had a 40% off offer within 2 mins of it being uploaded. Ignored it and 5 mins later someone came and bought it full price. Linen-cotton mix dress worn once being sold for £10 which is a perfectly reasonable price!

If you can’t afford £10 then search for £6 and below.

I have been seeing so many listings like this pop up recently, that are not actually selling anything, but just begging for money for one reason or another

I report them every time and they do get taken down eventually, but I'm seeing them on my home page multiple times a week 😅

Some of the prices for vintage clothing are beyond the ridiculous. Seriously. On Vinted people are not paying this kind of money add to the fact you can buy them much cheaper, yes some are rare, there's a lot that aren't and don't warrant the price tag. There's a seller selling at absolutely ridiculous prices for things, these are a few examples

It's such a slower burn than Vinted, the only time I've sold something same day as upload recently I reckon I must have pinged someone's saved search for that exact top because they popped up and bought pretty much straight away
Being positive all the scammers and idiots seem to have left Ebay and if I do sell anything I never have issues on there any more. Bad news is all of these people now seem to use Vinted !

I’m re selling something I bought as it doesn’t suit me. I paid more than what it costs in the shop atm as it’s gone viral. I’m selling it for what I paid for it and someone sent a screen shot from the website saying I have got the price wrong. Fuck off.

Every time. Every bloody time. I stated this book is very rare. There is only one on Ebay for £37.

40% off is imbedded in the psyche of Vinted buyers now - it never used to be like this, and I have been on there for at lease three years. We now know this is thanks to influencers like the aforementioned Jess Warner, who has encouraged it. When that article on the DM about Toff encouraging her followers to lowball sellers, the majority of comments were as angry as we were. We all know this is out of order.

Anyway - this fucker joins my block list.

I’ve had sellers chase me to mark as complete and I’m at work, the parcel has gone through my door and I’ve not been able to check it. I’m not marking complete until I’ve seen it!

Yes I think buyers should get some bad feedback if they do this. It is such a waste of time and energy and there is no comeback for them.
I’ve had four this week. And one of them asked me to hang on to the item for a week then re-upload so they can buy it again?!

Took a punt on a pair of spenny mugs someone was selling well below their value thinking I'll probably get a bag of broken ceramic and lo and behold, no bubble wrap, no fragile tape, mugs loose in two card (not corrugated cardboard) mini boxes rattling round in a mailer bag ... although one hasn't broken (the other is fucked though). Why would you do that? If you're going to sell mugs at least try, now you're two spenny mugs and what I paid down????

The lady I’ve posted about before who didn’t bother to collect, then kicked off that I had to sort her refund. I had almost daily messages telling me I had to contact Vinted to sort it out because she wanted her money and it wasn’t her fault she didn’t collect. I marked it as received (although I did do it a day late due to her nasty message the second it hit my doorstep) and told her there was nothing else I could do.

She got her refund this morning and sent me a nasty message about how unhelpful I’ve been, how I’ve made this process much harder than it should have been and “thanks for nothing”.

The item was £3.
I had pretty much the same experience over £2 lol, apparently I was trying to scam her 😂.

Finally sorted out all the crates from garage number #1 - at least five full of clothes for Spring/Summer to sell. Lots of BNWT stuff and everything else has been washed and ready to go. Four bags sorted for charity/recycling.

I'm an E-Bay girl but not been on there selling for over a year now. I have recently bought quite a bit of stuff on Vinted, and most of it has been decent actually, but I've never used it for selling and it scares me - I really don't like to be mithered by people and I have a short fuse 😂

So I'm thinking of trying to make a start by doing say ten items on both. I'm concerned that people are saying it's dead - I have fuckloads more to sell and that's before we get onto garage #2 😳

Also doing a car boot next weekend - strictly household stuff though. Probably do two or three and give whatever doesn't sell to charity.
You could try taking some clothing to the car boot too. No hassle posting, no 40% off offers and no returns. You might get a couple of quid less overall but got to be worth a try maybe

Would be today I get my first SNAD. Quite funny though, they've said it's in perfect condition and exactly as described but have wrong sized me. It's labelled as a 14 and I listed it as a 14 but it comes up small and I didn't mention it. Fair enough I didn't mention it, because I didn't measure it, but I tend not to bother unless it's a letter size because life's too short. Lesson learned. They've written an 150 word issue description including uploading a screenshot of the Boden size guide to say that it doesn't meet the Boden size guide. Take it up with Johnny Boden then lol?

Feel like I'm being a dick but I've said they can pay for return shipping. Dreading them popping up to kick off about it now but I'll see you in Vinted court if you do lol. Why you wouldn't just resell I don't know
We are twinning today. I have literally just had the exact same thing. The buyer did pay though and left good feedback but wrote on it that it was smaller than size mentioned. I deleted the listing days ago as the sale has completed and had got auto feedback,so she's obviously edited it lol,and cannot remember if I had mentioned it. I usually do mention it as it's Vintage and they're always smaller than today's sizing. In a way you cannot win,if you put it in the size it actually measures, you'll get people not reading it and saying "wrong size sent" and unless someone asks I just haven't got the energy to measure every single item I list

I honestly think some people treat Vinted like some kind of sport.

Spotted a really nice worn once dress at an absolute bargain price relative to new. Uploaded 29 minutes ago. 30 likes. 8 people had sent offers!

I bought it as it was a good shape etc and a good price. Do people just send offers for fun? Why on earth would someone accept an offer a few minutes after listing?!

I've sold a few things to CEX via post before and when filling out the forms online, you have to answer this question:
Screenshot 2026-05-30 at 16.15.54.png

I would double check your daughter didn't accidentally agree to it first.

Then, go for a formal complaint, highlighting that you purchased the item from CEX and include a copy of the purchase email. Ask for proof that your daughter confirmed she wanted it recycled. If they can't provide that, then you should have a clear case. Good luck!
