If Anne Heche was drink driving, I have no sympathy for her at all. People's homes burned down as a result of her crash.

I've been reading about this. She crashed her car into a garage and was confronted about it. Nobody hurt, there. However, she then reversed, shot off, and her car was caught on doorcam videos speeding down a suburban road at about 90 mph before you hear a loud crash. She took out a woman's home. The woman was in it with her pets. Luckily, they survived but the woman's home is utterly decimated. If the woman has no insurance, she's homeless and her possessions destroyed.

If you want to trash your own life, it's sad and you need help. Trash someone else's after people have already tried to stop you and that's something else. Of course, it will be blamed on her being high/ drunk, with 'impaired' responsibility.

Anne Heche is supposed to be badly burned. A heavy price to pay, with a long, painful recovery ahead.

A few years ago, on an economy drive, I stopped using Decleor cleanser and started to use that retro favourite Anne French. My goodness it was an efficient cleanser, it shifted the grime like nobody’s business. After about two bottles they discontinued it. Bastards.

I like Fenjal and Badedas too - real retro treats. You can keep your Neom and Aromatherapy Associates, Fenjal is far superior! I draw the line at Matey.

In what way do you think there’s more to this story?

There’s someone on another forum (that I’m not allowed to link to) also trying to tout the ‘two sides to every story) minimisation (maybe it’s even the same poster).

I’m not sure what the ‘side’ of a story would be that justifies a 17-stone man beating his partner so viciously that his heart gives out and she needs three operations.

But, as the saying goes, the worst thing about male violence is that it makes men look bad

When they approached him saying that they were going to publish it and knowing that his career would be over if that ever came out, Rebekah offered to hand over private gossip about other WAGs in exchange for their silence. I guess I’m the only one who’s completely fed up with the “Katie Holmes is a hero for escaping from Tom Cruise” story. Obviously, good for her getting the divorce done on her terms, but she knew what she was getting into when she agreed to marry him in the first place. It was after his divorce from Mimi Rogers and after his much publicised divorce from Nicole Kidman. Everybody on the planet knew by then that he was neck-deep in the Scientology cult. She’s been in Hollywood for years, it was an open secret that he was auditioning for a new wife, and that some actresses actually had the good sense to say “hell no” when they got an offer through their agents. And even if she lived in a some kind of rose-tinted bubble and didn’t hear anything, sure she did notice something was off during their engagement (jumping on the couch during the interview?) The warning signs were there. Clearly she thought she knew what she was doing, marrying him and bringing a child into that. She was in it for the fame and for his clout, hoping she’d get a career like Kidman’s, not taking into account that she’s a much more limited actress. Hopefully her daughter does not end up with issues too severe from the exposure to Scientology at the early age, and now the whole estrangement from her father. At least not so severe that a few years of therapy sessions cannot fix it.

See the thing with Geri is that she got notions about herself and wanted to be all upper class, she blatantly was to social climb but I dont think any of the old money can be bothered with her…she’s made some connections tho il give her that, but unfortunately for her her spice girl days where she was a bit wild were too well publicised

The thing with the British class system she doesn’t seem to understand is there is zero mobility. You either are born upper class or you’re not. It doesn’t matter how much money you have, you can’t buy your way in. Old money, even if the descendents are no longer rich, always looks down on new money. And they don’t come more nouveau riche than Geri.

Re Geri. I was at a function a few weeks ago with Geri and Christian. The person I was with pointed her out because I genuinely hadn't seen her. I knew she was small but I don't think anything prepared me for how tiny she was in real life. She's like a person, but in miniature
Anyway, no gossip other than to say she was genuinely lovely. It was a private event with no press etc so I think she probably relaxed a bit, she was happy and chatty with everyone and just being a normal 'Mum' really joining in with all the activities.
