I had a go at knife throwing once (all safe, at a target etc etc) and I didn’t get one to stick let alone penetrate the target and I threw them bloody hard. To get a knife 11cm into a person takes some force and must be at close range surely?
It all sounds so strange and mum isn’t being called for the prosecution despite being there and a witness.

I saw an update on my local news last night saying that the forensic pathologist was first to give evidence anz had said how it would be almost impossible for what the Dad has said happened. They said with how deep it went it would've had to have been close and forceful. The defence cross examined and asked if Scarlett had any defence injuries which she didn't.

Vickers has spoken to Scarlett’s mum, Sarah Hall, every day since and says that they are still together. He said: “It’s costing me a fortune in phone calls”
He's trying hard with the sympathy card... Pathetic. He's stating he went to pick up some tongs but picked up the knife instead. When the paramedics arrived they found the knife back on the hot plate, not on the floor. He's denying picking up the knife or even seeing one. His defence is flawed and it's clear he's stabbed her, pulled the knife back and placed it on the bunker.

I'm wondering if the mum did the actual stabbing and he is covering for her? Really curious what her role in all this is. She must have seen the whole thing and was originally charged with murder and then released. They must have some evidence indicating it was dad if it's him on trial
Something is definitely not right. I hope they get the truth in the end but unless the mum or dad come clean I don't think we will ever 100% know the truth.

I was interested to read the bit about the grapes being thrown and the dog.
I think he's an angry man. I think he told her to stop throwing the grapes because of the dog, she kept throwing them and he snapped and turned. I bet there's history there of violence/control and it's why the mum isn't saying anything.
It's a really strange story. I feel like it would be more plausible to stick with a line of "I was mucking around with the knife and she hadn't noticed and lunged at me"
The cereal bar thing is weird to me. Your daughter's just died, how have you got the stomach to face any food at all?
Then the cost of the phone calls and the woe is me. I'm sure there will be a history of him being controlling/abusive.

The fact that he can't come up with a plausible alternative does him no favours. The conflicting accounts at interview and on the stand, plus the fact that he was clearly a bit pissed and/or high, is just all so unconvincing. Nothing heard so far suggests to me that he intended to murder her, but the recklessness alone seems undeniable.
It comes across to me that he’s been drinking all day, is probably drunk and potentially being abusive to his wife and Scarlett has unfortunately got in the way. Some of his comments are very narcissistic
