Scalp problems

This is a random one for tattle but i cant find a solution and thought id ask for advice

Does anyone have a tried and tested solution for psoriasis on the scalp? I have tried literally everything over the counter and via the GP, creams, shampoos, steroid solutions, childs farm, but am still struggling with itchiness but also with white dandruffy flakes and theyre quite bad at the minute.

Following I have a tiny, smaller than a 5pence sized patch on my scalp that is so bloody itchy it drives me mad. It doesn’t seem worth seeing the gp about but it’s so irritating so would love to know any recommendations

Daktacort cream may help for a small area. Mine is more widespread

I had really bad itchy flaky scalp and I used Philip Kingsley scalp tonic. It is brilliant. I've started to get small excema patches on my scalp recently and started to use the shampoo. It has honesty helped me after the first shampoo. Its expensive but so worth it.

This is a weird one, it's kind of like water you squirt on your (dry) scalp but it really helps the itching with my eczema

Ginger shampoo from
body shop was the only thing to sort my husbands scalp psoriasis. Its amazing!

Another vote for the ginger shampoo from body shop. My issues wouldn’t be as severe as yours sound, but if I run out of the ginger shampoo within a day or two my scalp is on fire I’ve been using it for 20+ years and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

I also use the ginger shampoo from the body shop and it’s helped massively. Maybe also try making your own scalp scrub out of coconut oil and brown sugar and massage it into your scalp, leave it 15 mins and then shampoo out. I found that really soothing

Have you tried the ginger shampoo from body shop? It really helped my husbands. I also rub coconut oil into his hair once a week and he washes it out the next day

I was struggling majorly with this over the past 9 months since stopping my pill, itchy, massive flakes all around my hairline. Body shop Ginger shampoo sadly didn’t work for me. What has worked is an antihistamine everyday to help with the itching and nizoral medicated shampoo (bought from Amazon) I used it every 2 days for 2 weeks, now just use it once a week and it’s as if the last 9 months didn’t happen!

I’ve struggled for years with dandruff and itching, have tried head and shoulders, Tgel, ginger shampoo and ones over the counter. I’m pregnant now and was checking what I could use because the itching and flakiness was horrible but in the end I found Faith in Nature Lavender and Geranium amazing, have used it for the last 7 months and I couldn’t be happier.

there is a fab scalp scrub by alfaparf. It’s around £17 I think but literally would last like a year lol soooo good!!!! You put it on dry scalp. For dry scalp and dandruff

I have severe eczema on my scalp, sometimes it bleeds when I scratch it and other times it’s big white flakes. I’ve started using castor oil and coconut oil on my scalp as a mask. I put the coconut oil in a bowl then place that bowl in a bowl of hot water to melt it. Then I mix it with the castor oil and put it on my scalp and leave it for 30mins with a shower cap on. It’s worked amazing for me!

I bought the ginger body shop shampoo but ny head has been itchy all day. Does it take a while to work? Im annoyed as i had high hopes for it

My oldest used to suffer with psoriasis on their scalp. We used to get capasal shampoo on prescription, then the doctors stopped prescribing it , so we started buying it over the counter. Not many places kept it in stock so I ended up ordering it online from some pharmacy.
