This can't be a one off, especially when he's been charged with separate incident(s) more will come out, possibly near miss accounts. I think it's obvious now that he used his position of trust to enable him.

I wonder if he was in uniform, seems odd that they caught him so quickly and that other charges of indecent exposure have been brought.
I wonder what religion and skin colour he is.. coz that hadn't been mentioned.. oh yeah he's not a Muslim or Black so its irrelevant.. heart goes out the family.. had her whole life ahead of her

He's not been charged with anything yet.

He could've stopped, shown her his badge and said there were reports of a man following women and offered her a lift home to be safe? I know I would more than likely accept in that situation. Poor girl.
You’re totally right and i would too especially once I’d seen his badge.

Can't stop thinking about this, the same as everyone else. Really hits close to home and makes me think of all the times I've walked back from places alone in the dark, I'd usually call my mum and talk to her to feel safer but even that won't help it seems.

Apparently both him and his brother became police officers and I've seen someone on facebook who seems to know them both saying we'll all be shocked with all the stuff they release about him - or something along those lines - makes me think he wasn't a very nice person and people knew he wasn't? I mean, you'd have to be horrible to do what he's done and no way can you get to 48 and this be your first ever crime, especially on this scale. Shocked he appears to have a daughter too :/

Does anyone know anything about the Snapchat? An entire thread has been removed from webslueths because it was talked about!

I was under the impression indecent exposure was mentioned. Was is arrested on suspicion of rather than charged?
Originally it was kidnap and indecent exposure and now it’s murder and those two? But again it’s suspicion

Cant stop thinking about this and I'm sure every woman is the same. Countless times I have been terrified walking alone and have had incidents happen. Women should be allowed to walk alone without the fear or being kidnapped or grape or murdered. I hope Sarah did not suffer. And that justice is served.

(They only use the phrase 'remains' if the body is not not intact)

I’ve just watched the news and caught up with the details of this case .. it is terrifying , and I live in Kent , not too far from where she was found so it feels very close to home for me

what a sick scumbag .. that poor woman and her poor family .. utterly heartbreaking

Remains is used here all the time, example funeral notices, remains arrive at church at 10am. Not unusual.

Its more the use of "appears" to be remains and saying identification will take some time that is telling.

I couldn’t sleep so read three threads on this ...
- his wife worked at a lab (which is super suspicious) & her Facebook is pretty much open
- he has 2 kids (a girl and a boy)
- a car was found burned out near his home
- for some strange reason he was driving a hire car (premeditation?)
- he used to be a car mechanic then switched to the CNC then later the MET in 2018
- he wasn’t in uniform at the time but there’s a 1.5hr window between when he left work and when Sarah was last seen and it’s not that far away
- the indecent exposure charge does not relate to Sarah but nobody was sure when it happened, was it earlier that night?
- there was some talk that he possibly tried to arrest her, she was hit by a car and he intervened or she had her phone stolen and he appeared as a saviour (all of this was quite gossipy!)

... but yeah, it’s all absolutely awful!

Wow, how is that information so publicly available? Which threads are these? - I couldn't sleep last night either, it's all too chilling. As a young woman (slightly younger than Sarah), living in London, I am fearful of walking after dark. It shouldn't be the way, but the it's just how it is sadly, and has been for a long time.

it also might mean they aren’t able to tell what happened to her. It’s awful and I can’t stop thinking about it 😣 from the news it seems he lived in deal, but the remains were found in Ashford which seems halfway between her last location in London and his home? Makes you wonder why he left her there, was it premeditated and planned? He’d have had some knowledge of the area to go there.

Can’t stop thinking about this :( the amount of times I’ve walked home alone at night and every single time it has crossed my mind that this could be “the night”. She did everything women are told to do and it still wasn’t enough to protect her :( terrifying that we still can’t walk home safely. Had such a sleepless night last night thinking about it all. Her poor family. Her boyfriend who she was on the phone to. My heart breaks for them.

I thought they normal use ‘body’ as in a ‘body has been found’.
The Met (not MET it’s not an acronym) Commissioner has said it will take “considerable time” to ID the remains.

People will do and say anything just to justify the men's actions. Why was she out alone, why was she walking at night, why was she there, why was she wearing this, why did she speak to him, why did she smile, why did she exist... I am heartbroken that it now appears to be a murder. I've heard and read and protested against so many horrible things like this over the past few years, I feel like I and every woman around me has second hand trauma from only what we hear, let alone what we have experienced. And the feeling of helplessness... My heart goes out to her family. No punishment would be enough.
