This has really hit home as a woman. We may not know her but we are "her". We're told to follow all these rules to keep ourselves safe and look what still happens.
Heartbreaking 💔

One of my sons best friends is her cousin. I can’t believe people were questioning why she was at a friends house.

They've said it will take some considerable time to identify the body so it looks like it's been damaged in some way possibly burnt ,very sad for her family .

God I dread to think. Feel so sad for her and her family.

I wonder what the female who was arrested has done.
Probably something like perverting the course of justice, like in the Ian Huntley case. They might have evidence she knew about it or helped hide evidence.

I can’t really add anything other than this is so heartbreaking. Her family might not have seen her for a while with Covid and lockdowns and now she’s gone. I’d been following the case desperately hoping for a different outcome, it’s just tragic. Her poor family and friends 😞

It is so sad I was really hoping there would be a positive outcome and she was found safe.
Life is cruel and there is some horrible people in this world but it’s even sicker when a person with authority someone you would instinctively trust and who you would go to for help could do this! Really makes you question how inhumane some people are!

I’ll be honest, when the news first broke I did question being at a friends house. But that thought soon went. For women told not to be out alone after dark in 2021 just feels such a backwards thing.

I hope these aren’t her, but then they would be someone else’s loved one. I hope they’ve got it wrong but after a week I’m not so sure.

A relative of my husband knows her friend, seems crazy how small the world is.

So so sad, just a normal girl doing nothing wrong. It’s so terrifying, it could be anyone - my partner hates me going out alone at night, even to the shop round the corner. It shouldn’t be like this :(

This is awful, and so many women can probably identify with her, just going about her business in London and just vanishing? Unfortunately reading between the lines on police and press statements, it sounds so grim what has happened.
Now the onus is on women will need to be careful and watch their backs but why should we be in this position to begin with?
It's just an awful situation all around

They interviewed all their neighbours and it creeped me out

It be a long while before full details of the case comes out, absolutely tragic.

Unbelievable that in 2021 the onus is still being put on women to protect themselves. She did everything we are told to do to stay safe (none of which we should have to) and this still happened. At some point the blame has to be completely removed from women and shifted to the perpetrators.

So desperately sad for Sarah and all who know her.

He was off duty but they think he used his MET badge to lure her into his car
But why would she get in? The last place they saw her was over halfway home? I just can’t imagine an instance where she’d get in? 😞

They apparently have had over 700 calls and she was spotted on someone’s front door bell camera, I don’t think she would have got in unless he was pretending to be a taxi or a police officer fining her for breaking lockdown? Who knows when he started following her

There’s rumours that he used his warrant card to lure her into the car. TBH if a police officer showed me a warrant card I would probably comply.

This guy is a well respected member of the MET high ranking gun cop with a very calm nature his neighbours felt very safe having him around if he fooled her the way he fooled everyone else she could have easily got in on the pretence he was seeing her safely home .
