As much as that is true, religion also underpins some of the most vile and inhumane crimes that have ever been committed too- and continue to happen.

Yep. So do political ideologies (Stalin killed about 20 million of his own people, Hitler and Mussolini about two thirds of that between them, Western hypercapitalism is killing workers in developing countries RIGHT NOW, Chinese are slaughtering Muslims RIGHT NOW).
It's almost like....human beings are the common denominator here

Live reporting is indicating that her examination revealed that Sara had human bite marks on her inner thigh. Good god that is horrific. Clearly a sexual nature to this 'so called' legal punished. Poor girl. We must also remember she was only 10 years old - so young. The picture of her in make up that they keep using in the media makes her look like a teenager.
Every photo I've seen off her on sky news has made her look around 15, she was a child and I think sometimes looking at photos you forget that because she looks a lot older. Her dad was meant to protect her and he's done the worst thing to her and then others just turned a blind eye, probably contributed along the way. What chance did she have?

My spidey sense is that she was responsible for most of the abuse and Urfan Sharif tried to take the fall for her. Just on the basis that step parents are statistically more likely to be the main abuser and also because I got Emma Tustin vibes from her in that video she did

Which again, makes me think that the stepmother was primarily responsible for most of the abuse. Many men don't even know how to turn on an iron and wouldn't necessarily think of it as a weapon of torture.
Telling also that Urfan Sharif was distressed when he called the police to confess but Batool's tone when she was trying to book flights was described as calm, plus she also appeared to be the key protagonst in the video they put out.
I’m not sure it was sexual, and was likely the stepmother.
The photo of Sara in the make up just feels all sorts of wrong.
I personally think the father and the stepmother were complicit and the uncle turned a blind eye.
I think unfortunately there was probably a sexual component because suction was used
Lots of women capable of sexual abuse of children e.g. Vanessa George. A tiny proportion compared with men, and the motives tend to be different (jealousy is often said to be a factor rather than perverse lust), but they still exist
When we bear in mind that Sara and her brother were removed from their mother and placed in their father’s custody, I hate to think what the reasoning was. I wonder if the mother had experienced domestic violence with him.

Oh yes, that’s true, I was just thinking like a normal bite could leave marks and teeth dragged along the surface could cause the person to bite harder / shift the hold if the person being bitten tried to move away

I am so sure that the majority of the abuse was carried out by the step mum, she's another one like Arthur's so called step mum. I hope she never has a days peace in her life again. She's bang to rights with refusing to provide dental impressions, I wonder what her excuse for that will be. The dad another pathetic simp like Arthur's dad who stood by and watched. Poor Sara, and her poor brother, I wonder if they will give the children's accounts of what happened.
Apparently her brother is still in Pakistan, their mother hasn't been able to regain custody of him.
BBC news at 6 refused to list the injuries as they are too distressing for this time in the evening
Omg that poor boy, his sister gone, whole world turned upside down, at the very least they should have brought him back here, surely his family can't be considered trustworthy, God knows what he's suffering there.
Just been reading about Sara and am utterly horrified...when I thought I was becoming pretty hardened to hearing about some of the horrors inflicted upon children. Now I know I could never be. This poor little girl. No punishment is enough for the perpetrators and it's a shame I can't believe there's a hell bad enough for them to rot in.
