We bought tickets to see him in London years ago- travelled down from oop north and realised once we checked in to the hotel that neither of us were really bothered anymore. Ordered takeaway and stayed in rather than go to the concert.
I think his early stuff was ok- bit whiny. The male adele really.

I agree. He’s got a great voice. I liked his music before and even listened to his new album and thought it was good enough. I think maybe he just wants to stand out now and the music isn’t enough to do that.

100% he has ruined his career. He’s made himself a laughing stock. Maybe he wants to express himself but the skimpy clothes and “sexual” dancing just screams attention seeking. He’s alienated his original fan base/audience. As others have said here he must have the wrong people advising him.

I have the feeling most of the people defending Sam online sing a different song in their own rooms where no one else can hear what is said. There is no way anyone can look at him and say 'Yeah, he looks so great!' and truly mean it.

I don't like Lewis either but at least he's not trying to be something he's not!

From what I've heard he is the same as he has always been. When he goes home to Bathate, he sometimes pops through to Edinburgh to hit some pubs. I've never met him personally but I know some who have and he just sits there and chats with no fuss whatsoever.

It makes me laugh when people say harry styles is the new Bowie. Ridiculous. He's not awful, but isn't anything that special either.

Sam is so out of place and uncomfortable with it all that it makes me want to cheer. But the music needs to match the image, it has zero correlation at the moment.

Exactly. Lewis is happy with who he is and that's hugely attractive. Plus he's funny, plus he can sing. Whatever doubts he has about himself, and there are bound to be some, he deals with them away from the public gaze.

I have another snippet of information.
Like I've said previously I don't know how true this all is but given the information is coming from someone who knows Sam and the circle they're moving in and their recent behaviour, I trust the information.

There's been speculation that Sam has fallen out with some of his family, I'm not sure what about and which family members (I will try and find out but that might be difficult).
Some people aren't happy with Christian who Sam is spending time with (bad influence and bad life choices on his part).
There's rumours of substance abuse but that purely is a rumours and I don't know if there's any truth in that at the moment.

Yeah looks do probably come into it in some biased way which we don't realise we are doing. Take Lewis Capaldi I don't think he is that conventionally attractive but he still has something that these 2 don't and I think he could laugh me into bed

Just out of interest (not trying to start an argument ) but what makes you say that? Is it their weight? Their personality? The fact that their image has changed so much? Or that it simply doesn’t suit him?

Someone like Harry Styles seems to be better liked and can get away with slightly more outrageous outfits. Is it just because he’s more cool? Better looking? Slimmer?

I’m not challenging you, I’m just intrigued myself because I definitely find Harry more palatable and I don’t know why!

Well I think it’s just that it’s performative and not that genuine. It’s not really that usual for people to suddenly decide at age 30 they are going to wear a load of bondage apparel and make videos drinking piss and stomping around rubbing their nips.

Harry was dressed in a boy band for many years and has now found a style that suits him and I don’t even think his are that outlandish, unless he’s in a magazine and wearing the skirts/pearls and then it’s not really overtly sexual just different. Harry himself is quite a sexual performer, with some chest out (I don’t find him sexy tbh). Lady Gaga used to dress whacky when younger but has now kind of moved away from it. Sam is going backwards it just doesn’t really work for him, for lots of reasons. He has a voice, he can sing and write and has made some big hits, and now his songs are just meh - he doesn’t need to do this to get attention does he?

I also fancy non traditionally good looking men, it’s about charisma. I believe that Harry styles seems to have a lot of this and him being at ease with himself is part of it but he’s not my type. He doesn’t do it for me. Give me bedraggled Matty Healy I also think Adam Lambert is fucking gorgeous and wouldn’t kick Gregg Davies out of bed either - Alan Rickman was a sexy god and I liked Chris Pratt when he was overweight In Parks & Rec

He looks a hell of a lot more comfortable performing these days though. I always remember seeing this performance years ago and feeling quite sorry for him, being so clearly nervous.

This was and is such a tune, would much rather listen and watch this on repeat than the hell hole that's his new album.
