I know a parent whose kids go to the same school as Sallies daughters. All the parents see what’s she’s up to & talk about her. If they’re seeing it all, then the kids will be too.

Exactly!! I’ve had the same hair for about 9 months now and it still looks the same as the first day it was fitted. I use good quality shampoo and conditioner, leave in conditioner and the occasional treatment... I don’t even think I do that much to be honest - I only wash it every 5 days or so, and it looks amazing. But she’s been away for 2.5 weeks and her hair is horrendous!!

The damage has already been done to both of them, especially the youngest. I know they’re in a stable home now but trauma at a young age and Adverse Childhood Experiences are carried through life, even if they don’t fully remember. They’ll both have attachment issues which can manifest in a number of ways and they’ll both have abandonment issues through having a ‘mother’ who’s in and out of their lives, who turns up as and when she wants, who isn’t available for months of the year at a time, who isn’t reliable, and whose idea of showing them she loves them is buying them shoes and clothes from Cricket and sending them flowers to school. I just hope they’ve got a strong support network around them, and school staff who recognise the damage that’s been done already.
