Oof that's a howler.

(Obvs am listening now. Have always wanted to know more about SH's family set up - she implied around the time of her mother's death that there were drink problems and narcissim).

No integrity and no shame. Makes a person quite ugly.

Oh dear that is bad. Forgetting the age your best friend was when she died is just cringe. Especially if you are going on a podcast about grief to talk about her. Carey sounds such a lovely person too. In a way is it good Sali keeps her memory alive? I don't know. Confusing.

She says in that podcast she always felt her Mum didn't like her and she wasn't parented. I'm sure I've read an Uncle gave her £20, he could never repay her what he owed her, and off she went to London. I've also read there was graffiti about her Mum being a slag on the toilet walls at school. So I've decided her Mum had an affair with her brother in law, SH knew and..., split. She's says in this grief podcast her Dad was an alcoholic.

She's having a nerdgasm over being at the World Congress of Dermatology. Obviously a #presstrip on Estee Lauder's penny as they're sponsors of the event

Though I notice that press are not allowed at the welcome reception or any of the dinners often the most fun part of these events where you see eminent professionals in their field get squiffy

Oh I'm sure she'll be in her element. She wrote once that she was discharged from the team of dermatologists she saw as a teen for her skin condition, because she knew more than them. ( I think this was in the guardian when writing about said condition. ) I've never met a patient who knew more than a specialist in 15plus of nursing, but plentry who think they do. Anyhow typical Sali.

Compelety loath her out right lies and the lengths she goes to avoid #AD. How greedy and fake she has become. Seemingly only befriending people who have some kind of fame in order to further her own wish for recognition.

Just realised my favourite thing about this thread: it’s in the “influencers” category which will totally piss her off madam would want to be under guru at the very least since she’s such a serious journo+author.

Tory Husband now suggesting modernist style book cover obvs stolen from the wife.
Ffs that is a tenuous claim. Personally I think her covers are copies of numerous other book covers. I doubt anyone would think “ooh I’ll copy the cover of that seminal masterpiece about Sali hughes’s favourite (sponsored) beauty products”.

Fuuck! Why try to start something with a complete stranger? Who does that? The kitchen book is way more stylish anyway.

Honestly, like no one had ever before thought of a modernist, minimalist book cover...cough... Clockwork Orange...nineteen eighty four....

Bloody hell, the brass neck on him! What next, Sali invented skin?

The book looks interesting, may just order it

Even if the covers are similar, it’s unlikely that Sali actually designed her own book cover. Unless she’s now a graphic designer as well as an Author, Broadcaster, Journalist, Beauty “maven” and unqualified dermatologist.

, on her latest stories defending his shiny her skin is, and that of Caroline Hirons also. It’s the lights of course, Nowt to do with the amount of substance injected into her face.

Yes what is that odd thing her husband did about the books? What a strange fight to pick. No doubt Sali has been wanging on about it. And I've already bored upthread with how she stole the title anyway (asked forum for suggestions, someone said Pretty Honest which Sali later said she thought of).
Book covers quite often look similarish don't they? I don't get it.

yes, totally! that makes sense because Lisa is properly professional, classy, and in a league of her own.
