Same! Doc rang me yest with blood results. That’ll be the cause of the hair loss, aching joints and bones...

Don’t want to de-rail the Sali chat, but did anyone get anything from Lisa’s new collection?

I went with the intention of buying a lipstick and a blusher and ended up with 2 x lipsticks, 2 x blushers and a lip gloss ………

I'm still trying to figure out the cause of my hair loss, fatigue, and aching joints/muscles. My iron came back normal (after being seriously anemic last year), but my ferritin was still low, so I'm trying heme iron supplements. They ruled out autoimmune and celiac

Has she been vocal about menopause yet? And changes and advice/help?

At the risk of repeating what you’ve likely already heard... I think (having gone through it) those can all be peri/meno symptoms, so if you are surgically meno without HRT then that could be a factor?

So, a good friend of mine had to have an iron infusion recently because she’s been having these types of symptoms for years, plus low mood abs anxiety. She lost a lot of blood after having her baby more than 7 years ago and had never felt right, she had Covid last year and was really poorly. Anyway, long story short , the specialist she saw basically said that no amount of Iron tablets will replace what she lost and she had to have an infusion which has been a revelation.

I fancied three of the lipsticks @Badabing101 and have bought none Which ones did you go for?

I haven’t been restrained with my purchases though, part of why I’m not buying any LE is because I used Cult Beauty’s 20% off code to buy the obscenely expensive Frederic Malle perfume. It’s the cheapest I’ve ever seen it, but it’s also just over a week’s rent

ETA: not intended to be braggy btw! It’s just it’s slightly bonkers when I think about it.

Yeah, I am on HRT. But if everything else checks out, I guess this might be just my new normal

"The hard grind in journalism" has about killed me. Did Sali do a three-year newspaper cadetship, work midnight to dawn shifts, do death knocks, court report, sit in parliament? police rounds? learn shorthand? Yeah, thought not
Be fair - mounting twitter campaigns to oust people from their jobs so you can get it are so tiring.

Yes, I've heard that this is not uncommon. My anemia was long-standing, but my body was compensating. Apparently it takes a toll. I have bad anxiety too

Ah yeah the ferritin is probs the cause then. Did you get thyroid checked too?
