Thank god it’s not just me who found the cover to be super degrading! She was pushing it with the positions etc but it was all a bit of fun. This is just next level (in a bad way) I can honestly see a lot of people take a turn off her after that.

ETA the vinyl cover is also weird as duck to me. The lolita socks, the old man with grey hair gripping her foot. What the duck like.

The thing that gets me is that men don’t like her. They mock her oversexualized image (in public anyway) and they’re definitely not listening to her music. So who is this marketing geared towards?

I really liked her music in EICS better before Nonsense got successful and she changed her image and music. The tongue in cheek country twang is done better by Kacey Musgrave imo.
Women who enjoy appealing to the male gaze? General girlhood?

I personally don’t find it to be that deep or problematic tbh. She has plenty of songs where she is taking power away from the man and positions herself as the dominant. It’s not Tate who seems to primarily be appealing to the male gaze without much nuance

The grey hair and suit is a purposeful choice. It’s an older man touching a young woman, dressed like a child while she’s prone and vulnerable on the bed wearing considerably less clothing. It’s bleeping disgusting how normalised this tit is in porn, but to have it seeping out into the everyday, in front of literal children is tragic.

She’s done Lolita inspired photoshoots before (when she was less famous). This is honestly disgusting behaviour from her.

I really don’t like the cover or the vinyl - the latter being particularly gross. I’m sick of all the discourse like my god media literacy is dead. It’s obviously satire. Not sure a lot of these people even know what satire means.

It’s honestly so disgusting. It’s one thing to act sexual as an adult but to play dress up as a kid whilst acting ‘sexy’ is just so disturbing… I wouldn’t mind but she actually looks like a 40 year old woman in actuality and on that vinyl she’s made the cartoon of herself look super young.
Her fans are acting like the whole point of the album is because men “treat women like dogs” and Sabrina is some kind of genius for bringing this to light. They are so clueless to believe this type of tit is empowering in any regard.

Saw somebody say It gives casting couch, and i agree. Also Bonnie Blue vibes.

Totally agree, there’s no layers to it, or irony, it’s just straight up degrading, especially the hair grabbing.
With the current political climate in the USA just now, it feel even more wrong.

(probably not explaining this very well, I’m tired 😂 but glad others agree about how bad it is).

I find her so distasteful and agree with all being said here. She basically markets herself as a male tank fantasy 🤢 it’s giving early 2000s in the very worst way and honestly, it’s jarring in this day and age. Feminism and the treatment of women has moved on and she stands out for all the wrong reasons.

She's going back to being a Temu version of Lana del Rey. Some of Lana's aesthetic decisions have been questionable, but at least she wasn't appealing directly to tween girls.

I don't like how her make up looks. She always has super rosy huge chipmunk cheeks and a shiny face. Makes me think of the bloody elf on the shelf.

The new album art appears to be getting huge backlash from fans and rightly so! This is the first time we've seen Sabrina have a fall from grace so far...Should be interesting to see what happens next.

I guess I'm in the minority here but I genuinely don't understand all the references to her "dressing like a child", not just in this thread but generally speaking everywhere on the internet rn.

I read an article yesterday referencing her "dresses with heart cut-outs" as though that's dressing like a child. Like yeah, a heart cut-out to show off her bits is definitely what you'd put a child in [very obvious sarcasm, just to be extremely clear lol]. I'm sure most people prefer their little girls to wear suspenders/garters with mini dresses too... Plus stripper heels. They're a child's favourite, no? [again, sarcasm, don't come for me thanks xo]

Whatever way you look at it it's a horrible photo with abuse/porn undertones. It almost feels like a Hollywood humiliation ritual in itself. The music industry own her and she has to do what they say if she wants to stay on top.
Turning on Spotify yesterday and Manchild automatically started playing despite having never searched Sabrina in my life! It was skipped 😖
