I think all the complaints from parents are completely unfair imo. It is very obvious to anyone that lays eyes on her that she does not and isn’t meant to appeal to children. Most photos of her online she’s in lingerie and if they actually took a second to listen to or read the lyrics of her songs they would quickly find out she is not a children’s star. Just owning up to their sheer lack of effort to look into the artist and the songs. It’s very clear she is for 18+ 😂

I remeber when dirty came out by christina aguilera and all these little girls were singing along, they had no idea what it meant.

I like sabrina carpenter. It's fun.
Sometimes you just want a fun song to sing along too.

Alot of it goes straight over most kids heads.
And it's up to the parents.

I really disliked the original version of Please Please Please, and found the video cringy Lana Del Rey wannabe stuff. However, I like the version with Dolly Parton and think the song works better in a country style.

I think now with TikTok, kids watch all type of content with no parental supervision whatsoever which leads to parents just getting their little darlings any concert tickets they want without even doing any research. I was at the short and sweet tour last week and I was shocked at the amount of children there, literally 7/8 year olds. She used to be on Disney yes but that was almost a decade ago at this stage. She’s never been marketed towards kids, even ‘Espresso’ isn’t child friendly.

When I was a young pre-teen back in the late 90’s/early 00’s I was obsessed with Eminem (like a lot of children around that age). I thought he was so cool. My mum had bought me The Marshall Mathers LP as a present but ended up sending it back after having a listen to it herself and being mortified. I wasn’t allowed to have it. Yet we’d happily be singing along to songs about “Sex on the Beach” and the Vengaboys etc. It really is on the parents to monitor what their children are seeing/listening to (I have kids myself and monitor what they see online etc) but also worth remembering that every generation had their controversial pop stars. Sabrina is no different.
I fully remember dancing to sex on the beach at my catholic primary school discos!

As a parent if I was spending a fortune on concert tickets I'd check out the artist first! People complain but her shows all over tiktok, do some research and take responsibility.

I agree although I find her curiously unsexual, if that’s a word, despite the boobs and a and lingerie costumes and even the lyrics. I wonder if any of the parents remember what Madonna was like in her heyday. Sabrina has nothing on her.

I like her though. She looks like she’s enjoying herself unlike some other pop stars I could mention.

The part where Dolly sings about the ceiling fan makes me smile. Don't know why, just how she sings it😅

Always catches me off guard when you see pictures of celebrities where they weren’t controlling the angles. She looks like a completely different person from her face

Anyway, love that she doesn’t seem go be wearing any tights and you can see her knees - that hardly ever happens

I’m intrigued to see who’ll she publically date next. Her track record isn’t great, bless her.

What does everyone think of the new song?
I also love the video, was like a film mashup! But the song is average. Sounds similar to Juno/Busy Woman and the lyrics are similar to slim pickins. Seems like she’s always singing about men are trash in a humorous way. Might be nice to see some more depth/change of subject matter from her. Like what she was doing on eics
