Awful

I’m so tired of this over sexxed little imp producing boring mass produced music and despite knowing her core audience is children exposing them to her sex habits and presenting it as “artistry”. It’s not right.

She just looks very clownish to me, and her face under the makeup just looks like a bang average person you’d walk past on the street. God I sound so horrible but I just don’t get why people are acting like she’s some beautiful perfect angel, I don’t see it

When I was a young pre-teen back in the late 90’s/early 00’s I was obsessed with Eminem (like a lot of children around that age). I thought he was so cool. My mum had bought me The Marshall Mathers LP as a present but ended up sending it back after having a listen to it herself and being mortified. I wasn’t allowed to have it. Yet we’d happily be singing along to songs about “Sex on the Beach” and the Vengaboys etc. It really is on the parents to monitor what their children are seeing/listening to (I have kids myself and monitor what they see online etc) but also worth remembering that every generation had their controversial pop stars. Sabrina is no different.
I fully remember dancing to sex on the beach at my catholic primary school discos!

As a parent if I was spending a fortune on concert tickets I'd check out the artist first! People complain but her shows all over tiktok, do some research and take responsibility.

Another split. She no longer gets to play step mum. It wasn't going to last. It rarely does when people get back together, because the original problems show themselves again eventually.

On the plus side its the best time of the year to be single. Save money on gifts and enjoy party season unattached.

I think she overdid the sexuality in the lyrics though. What possessed her to put “I’m so fucking horny” in a song 🫠 one of the bonus songs has “my openings are super tight”
The sexy is so overdone it makes me think she's asexual and the only time she gets turned on is checking her bank balance.

I'm not a fan of Sabrina at all (I'm really not into that kind of music) but obviously I've seen the discourse online and the main thing that's annoying me is the terminology being used if you don't like the art work. "Clutching pearls", "prudes" etc. People being called media illiterate. Having to explain that it's satire. Can you just not like something anymore without having to be told how wrong it is that you don't like it and all the reasons why you're wrong not to like it?

Tbh the picture reminds me of the Spinal Tap Album cover, Smell The Glove, which is very obvious satire. But then again I am 41, have watched Spinal Tap many a time but I feel it is a pop culture reference that would go over a lot of heads.

that’s why I said in public 😉. I don’t doubt they engage with it in the privacy of their rooms, but that doesn’t sell music. Sells her image maybe but they’re not going to go to a show or buy/stream anything of hers. So I don’t get the point. She isn’t a model where it doesn’t matter if men deal with Pamala in the evenings alone because it’s the image that matters.

I just don’t understand it. Because it isn’t for females anymore and I don’t think it has been for a while. I get it, she’s young, it’s fun and why shouldn’t she express herself sexually if she wants. But I think it’s turning away from that even now and anything will do once she’s talked about - and she’s too talented for that. It feels like a waste 🤷🏻‍♀️ and for what a bit of w*nking fodder. Bizarre strategy.
Column inches and clicks. If the Daily Mail posts photos of her recent juno pose or lingerie outfit, for their rabid male readership to leer at, then it’s increasing her traffic to her website, increases search engine hits on her name. Men will literally sit and watch her music videos/juno pose/lingerie videos and masterbate with the sound off. Ok they’re not spending £80 on a ticket to go see her, because they can get what they want from her online without paying a penny. But that doesn’t mean that the clicks, searches, tiktok engagement are worthless. On the contrary, it pushes her worth up higher and higher. The marketing machine knows her music doesn’t appeal to straight men, but they want their engagement, and sex is the way to get it.

It’s a tale as old as time - Britney Spears is a prime example. She wasn’t dressed in a school uniform to appeal to school girls.

She’s announced a new album for august (meaning only a year since short n sweet). I know she said it was because she felt inspired but I can’t help but think they wanted to repeat the exact strategy from last summer which worked so well. Wouldn’t be surprised if they extend the tour again. Just hope she doesn’t get burnt out!

I've started to actively dislike her big singles. She's becoming like fast food for me, hits all the right receptors and is easy to overconsume but leaves me wanting a proper meal.

But I guess that's how you get the streaming numbers.

If midnights can win album of the year then there's a good chance she'll get a Grammy (and then can have a McDonalds - she's never had one and is waiting for a milestone to celebrate with).

I think she has brilliant stage presence, she really knows how to work a crowd and a camera. Compared to someone like Dua lipa who has improved a lot but still comes across stilted IMO, Sabrina has a very natural skill in performing

Being "openly sexual" has become de rigeur for female pop stars these days. It's not shocking or surprising any more, it's just boring and tacky.

I don’t mind her music. She’s become a bit over bearing since Espresso. I did like Nonsense and Feather but their not as memorable as Espresso. The constant tik toks of her outro to Nonsense was getting too much - she was just trying to be as rude as possible with some, I remember seeing a tik tok of some Mum outraged with one of Taylor Swift’s Sydney shows and what she sang.

I can’t get over how funny looking she is though - she doesn’t look real? She looks like a real life China doll and her make up is awful. Her and Barry are a right funny looking couple. 😅

No-one's suggesting he should stay single until Brando is married himself, there's just concern for how little time he must have to spend with him.
I’m just pointing out that we don’t know the circumstances or how much time he spends with his kids so it’s a bit pathetic to point fingers at Sabrina. It’s not her kid. It’s just typical for a woman to get hate for a man’s actions.
Ultimately he had an kid with someone he wasn’t with for very long; they made that decision and it’s not unsurprising they’re not together
Also I’m not sure why people are calling a two year old a newborn?

She’s actually a very talented vocalist, a lot of her radio hits don’t showcase it but she has great control over her voice

I went to see her show last week and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The whole sexy lingerie and sex poses is only for 1 or 2 songs.
She changed into a black glitter trousers jumpsuit for most of the show.
She's very country style which I didn't notice before.
It seems the couple of seconds of her half naked and doing the splits is what gets shared everywhere but it's really only a snippet

The lip.synching though, terrible 🤣🤣

its fucking insidious. Spotify are sponsoring the tour so they are front loading her songs on playlists. Its kind of like falsifying success because it counts to streaming numbers.
