- This vlog was filmed after she had already decided to come home. Journal says she'd decided to remote learn that day and confirmed it with the uni. (I wonder if she'd told Blakeney)
- In the 'good things that happened today' section of her journal it says "found out that Martha is coming home too!" So Martha also seems to have come home from Sheffield. Perhaps at their parents' insistence? I honestly thought Martha would have preferred to stay.
- She writes in her journal how "London is already on tier two lockdown; I don't understand why Exeter isn't" - more covid anxiety, maybe contributing to her decision to come home

She’s always sounded like she’s faking an Emma Watson/Hermione accent to me because she does sound so different from the rest of her family. It’s weird, like she’s been doing it so many years her voice just got stuck on it. I can’t imagine her enunciating that way as a little kid.

Emma Watson grew up in Oxford as did I. Ruby lives not that far from Oxford actually. Although they are on the "posher" accent side. That's not how most people in oxford speak

Random side note but: does anyone know what happened RE Ruby buying a house?

I remember her posting the video a year or two ago with a house she'd bought (which seemed crazy to me at the time as she's younger than me & it'll be years until I will be in that position) and then it (along with any mentions of the house buying process etc) were suddenly scrubbed from the internet. Does anyone know if something went wrong or if she changed her mind and decided to make her being a landlord private?

Honestly I do not think Ruby looks healthy at the moment, at all. First of all she looks mentally drained and miserable behind the eyes and physically she just seems a bit like hunched over and pale? And watching her latest yt video and I cannot stop staring at her hands, they look really dry (im guessing from all the hand washing) but they also look really swollen as well? Especially the thumbs. Idk she usually looks chirpy and healthy but she just looks really unwell atm

well, I feel like this is very personal of her, if she wants to talk about it someday in her videos or keep it hidden. I don't feel she is asexual and aromantic or maybe she is.

I actually can't deal with how she says acaDAYmia, I find it so irrationally annoying Also someone pointed it out in the comments and she's trying to say it's just her regional accent hahaha a) that's not anyone's regional accent, b) you don't have a regional accent because you've spent so many years coaching it out of yourself

She went to school in High Wycombe - she doesn’t have a regional accent!! What a Womble. HW isn’t posh at all. It’s nice but no ones talking as Ruby does.

I dunno if she is a landlord, but if she is I can imagine its something she would want to keep private as she would probably get a lot of questions about it and also probably get slated for it

She's in first year (but it's her second year at Exeter), she had to start again when she switched to English

Yes, just like Jack Edwards is experiencing now. If you aren't perpetually a student, you aren't going to get the same demographics of audience that you did as a first year Fresher. If you can't develop your content as your own life changes, and try to cling to the student demographic you profited so much from, you'll just alienate yourself.

Yes his channel is tanking now, and you can see the desperation, bless him!

I had completely forgotten about this cottage she bought! Has she mentioned it again? I wonder if she's renting it? Do we know how much it cost her?

From what people have speculated on Twitter, she probably rents it out. That might be part of the reason she deleted the video about it - 1) because people were accusing her of boasting, but also 2) potential/current tenants wouldn't particularly like the attention garnered from such a video. In fact, I think I recall that there were sitting tenants in the cottage when she bought it.

In her video about the cottage, she also mentioned that she would live in it once she graduates, so she obviously has plans to stay very local to her family, which makes me think she already has plans (which she isn't disclosing yet) for after graduation.

Given that she lives in the SE of England somewhere, within commutable distance of London, and from the tour she briefly did in the video, I'd say it's worth at least £200k if not significantly more.
