Off topic, but I have a chance to visit Oxford for a day in October. Given that Ruby is no help, maybe someone here could give some recommendations?
So, for things to do:
1. If you like parks, Christchurch Meadow, University Parks, Parsons Pleasure and Port Meadow are all places to visit.
2. Good places to eat include Spiced Roots on Cowley Road, Taylors (for lunch) G&D for dessert and ice-cream!
3. Good pubs depends on your vibe, but The Half Moon was always my haunt at university. The Lamb and Flag also has good vibes, The White Horse is the "Morse Pub" as filming was done there, but the Eagle and Child is referenced in a lot of Morse novels (as the Bird and Baby).
3a. If you have favourite shows set/filmed in Oxford it can be quite fun to go around and find the filming locations. A lot of them are near the Bridge Of Sighs, or on Merton street.
4. For shops: There is The Alice Shop opposite Christchurch, lots of independent shops in the Covered Market, that street of shops up in north Oxford near Kellogg College.
5. You can do a Bodlean tour, and if you email the librarians of certain colleges (Corpus Christi I think do it) you might be able to get a tour of the college library.
6. Most colleges will show you around if you claim to be a prospective student.

Oxford is full of stuff to do, it's very impressive ruby managed to make it look so dull.

In her latest TikTok, Ruby confirms that the printed-on-card copies of letters that she's printed for her dodgy letter subscription/charity scam will not be newly-written for the subscription.

She holds up one of the "LATTARS" that she'll be sending out as part of the subscription, and lo and behold, she's already shown it...

Unti678687]t6567865687led - Copy.png

The letter she showed in the announcement post for this scam wasn't just as an example of the kind of letter you'll get, but one of the letters, copied from her performative jaaaahrnal where she writes insipid, hollow, try-hard paaarple pryose about the weather in her back yard while trying desperately to be Emily Dickinson.

So not only do unfortunate subscribers not get a personalised letter from Ruby as part of their penpal subscription, or even something in the form of a letter considering it's printed on card with an awkward border around it, but it's not even new content.

She just lazily copied some letters she wrote to herself months ago, and the first letter that subscribers get will be one they already read in her Instagram post announcing the project.

Her entire life is a low-effort performance at this point. Painting white blobs, changing her bedding for the second time this year, having Mummy cut off almost an entire inch of her hair so we’d stop commenting about how unkempt she looks. She still doesn’t know what a candlestick is. Tipping random, sloppily measured ingredients into an expensive mixer in a dark kitchen where you can’t hear what she’s saying over the clattering and poor Lola barking her head off in the background. “Warm pumpkin milk“ sounds utterly disgusting.

Watching ruby paint white blobs on everything was interesting for sure
It was so messy... That girl can't even make a proper aplat ( I think the right translation is "solid" but not sure). She should stop torturing her paints and brushes, these poor things don't deserve that.

Overall her "haircut" was just mommy granger unevenly cutting a centimeter, her lookbook and activities seem directly coming from her old autumn videos from 2016. The only difference is that back then Ruby was Hermione/Anne from Idr what and fueled by tea, while now Ruby is Coraline/Rory Gilmore and drinks coffee. She tries to look more adult by pretending to be interested by darker writings but we all know that if she read one of these, she hides in mommy and daddy's bed.

Also the recipes...

Her mother cutting her hair and both of them acting like it is major surgery, when it is only an inch max and supposed to be a straight line. Of course, Mommy Bones might be taking a few sips before succumbing to the task, so I personally would not trust her with scissors, especially how accident prone she is.

At least Ruby is using her Oxford degree to its utmost with obscure paintings of little ghosts on everything she owns, writing down "activities" to do because she apparently can't contain that sort of information to memory, and reading every possible book she can find that mentions Oxford in it so she can pretend she is back there.

Don't even get me started on the grime she revealed on her bed when she started to pull off the sheets and revealed a pile of God-knows-what in the corner.

How odd it is that not once has she mentioned how her job is going, how she feels about it, if she would want to focus on Library Science for a career, or anything else. I don't expect her to say where she is working, for safety reasons, though I still assume it is just at her local school. If it were a public library I would hope someone saw her and would mention it here. I am sure the family is driving her back and forth, or she uses Uber. What a useless life she has. This was not inspiring, but rather depressing to see how low she has sunk.

Mummy Granger cutting an inch off her mane is just them LARPing Anne of Green Gables or Little House on the Prairie again.
Ruby, you're 24, please just go to a hairdresser, I promise you won't catch other-girls-syndrome.

Her ‘love of pumpkins’ always strikes me as so affectatious because firstly pumpkins are an American import in a way that makes so sense with her British Manor House aesthetic / value system and secondly … the taste of pumpkin? is so?? objectively neutral?? Hence why it’s spiced typically lol. But she films herself opening a can of (literal not figurative) American import pumpkin puree and adds it to plain almond milk to convince us that’s a delicious autumn drink and not a bizarre imitation of something she has seen online lmaoo.

Idk why this of all things has wound me up about that recent video but she is just comically fake haha.

A little off-topic but I'm the same age as Ruby, graduated last year and am finally starting my 1st "big girl"/ JOB job!! I struggle to step out of my comfort zone sometimes but seeing her rot in her bedroom, pretending to be TWALVE for god knows how long gave me an example of what NOT to be lol. The first couple years in my profession are notoriously hard (as is most jobs I'm guessing!) but I'll try my best to balance work with going to the gym, seeing my friends, and taking care of me and my pets. And saving up for my first car and moving out 🥰

Yes! Maybe she chose it to go with the p in productivity. Come to think of it, Plum Productivity would make more sense, but perhaps a bit smug and less juvenile than pumpkin.

So people are paying £10 but one of the letters is freely available on her Instagram anyway?!?!

This makes so much sense! (I didn't doubt you at all, was just impressed.) That method of quizzing at random was used by a Homer professor I had. Nerve-wracking - and I was a post-grad. You and your classmates were tough for getting through that! I hope you celebrated appropriately after that course ended.

I know that Italian and Greek high schools still prioritize Latin and Greek classics - but I didn't know that before talking to people from those countries. It's awesome that you had such a thorough classics education in high school - what an absolute dream that is! I'm so curious but I won't be too nosy. I'm sure you were all extremely talented students.

I think the opportunity to learn Latin or ancient Greek in high school should be more widely available in English-speaking countries, but sadly I don't see that happening anytime soon. German-speaking countries typically offer Latin at gymnasia but Greek is becoming rarer.
For my all girls school, only the “smart” kids were allowed to do Latin/Ancient Greek. It’s quite sad as I would have really enjoyed doing it but unless you were the classic A* student then nope. I think it would have helped me to learn and read these texts for my English literature and language.

My school didn't even offer it at all, and it would have really helped me with my English Literature degree. But I went to a comprehensive school that Ruby would probably been scared of 😅

Nah I have to say going to the hairdresser is such effort lmao. I've not been since 2017, which was when I decided to grow out my pixie cut. I trim my own hair now and again. But then I basically always wear it in a low bun. Functional, hides the worst of my cutting, mostly professional, a simple adult hairstyle.

She wears it down almost all the time (which I do not understand, how is that not constantly annoying and infuriating) but doesn't really style it so it just looks crumpled.

Would love to know what Ruby deems “bad enough” to pull a video down… hope she uploads it again later so we can figure it out!

Sad I missed it 😂

Pumpkin only for the Hogwarts aesthetic, like the celebration the day of the bathroom troll. We used turnips instead for the lanterns before america, but a turnip latte... Sounds not better than a pumpkin latte to me. I really want to suggest that on her video now...
