Plus she has clothes, etc. all over her room in the background. It would have taken 20 seconds to pick it all up before filming for her 215K followers.

I know this is such a first world problem but seeing influencers hold those little mics to their chins as they talk really really annoys me! Just clip them on to your top!

People tell others collecting pictures of random series and cartoon then pasting it on a premade template that they are "soooo talented" almost everyday on Instagram while ignoring most fanarts taking hours to make from the blank canva. So... I'm not surprised. Not even disappointed, coming from her fanbase, it's something you can expect.The least she could do is not show her toe sticking out of her ripped stocking, but even that's too much of an effort and thought and common sense, I guess.

I decided to take a break from the Granger world as she, for one time, took the good decision to focus on something else than rushed videos only here for a sponsor and... It honestly bothers me so much how scruffy Ruby is with her rumbled, stained, filled-with-holes clothing. She is gifted such expensive clothing and she gets it all rumpled or she dresses so poorly with that money. She looked as if she is was trying to emulate a nun with that skirt.
It is the same with her house with how scruffy the family are and I was just shocked with all the books that were in the attic. I don't know if it brought me memories of being at home with my parents who are borderline book hoarders. They have bags of books all around the house and piles everywhere, including one pile in their bedroom that is about six feet high and about eight feet across!
I don't know how Ruby can get away with being so scruffy other than the fact that she is middle /upper class. You just know that people would be looking down their noses if she was working class and there would be comments online about it. Then again, Ruby is given a constant feedback loop with her young followers and her family, I think that other than here, the only place where she would get criticism is on her essay feedback.

But they live in a dilapidated mansion in the countryside so I guess their filth is aesthetically pleasing?
I always get the impression that they are squatters in that house. The way they are so messy, negligent, careless with both the interior and exterior part that they "rent" or "own" or whatever it is. You can tell they really don't belong there and haven't the slightest idea how to be fashionable or even take pride in how they represent themselves, their home and their belongings. They literally come across as tramps that snuck into the house, squatted and just hoard things or stash piles of stuff in corners and let them rot. I would be ashamed to have anyone come over to my home if it looked like this. I can't even imagine what it might smell like.
I always get the feeling that the house would smell of damp and dog for some reason, but I think that it is the fact that the house is usually cold according to Ruby and they have the aga for heating, which would make the smell worse. I also do wonder if they bother heating the house as it would be expensive.
I would be curious if they treated their last home the same as they do with this one. I do wonder if they are messy and just scruffy as they are lazy but it is almost an overcompensation for being posh and having a certain amount of money, in a champagne socialist way. I think that it could also be them not valuing things that much as they have the money and they can just replace what is damaged. It is such a nice house they do have if it had a good tidy! The garden especially as it looks like a right tip!
Them being lazy, sure, but they have enough money to hire a professional to keep this mess clean. Same for the garden, they could hire someone instead of letting it rot like that.
Have they not referred to their cleaner in the past? Cleaners can only do so much if they're not in every day though. My boyfriend had one for a time and the place still managed to go to rack and ruin during the week (I diagnose him with owning too many dishes and too many clothes, owning too much stuff means you aren't as on with keeping it clean). Difference with him though is he didn't post it online and harp on about being a germaphobe.
Weird class things about having a cleaner in this country, I think. I often surprise people by being fairly left leaning but being generally positive on the topic of hiring cleaners. I presume Ruby keeps it on the DL because it would harm her relatability, or what little of it she has left. She never refers to her scout (person who does some cleaning of college accomodation but is mainly there to check the place isn't going to ruin).

They have a cleaner (she's called Clara) but you can't clean clutter- as I very gently had explained to me by the cleaner I had when my mental health was bad. If they have so much crap there's only so much dear Clara can do with it to make it look... less crap
