and just like the last round of content she can’t be arsed to do a simple google search for the pronunciation of extremely well known scottish words. LOCH shiel, not “lock.” she’s such a moron.
"Ackshually, oiy was tawlking about lock shields because thahhr whaar manny locks on doors shielding the houses from intryooders in this BEYOOOOTIFUL place, syo thahhrfwore oiy am varry moch corrackt."

In the new video she mentions a lot that she is behind on tasks, doing something at the very last minute etc... It feels like she's struggling to stay on top of things and it's not a very good look for a productivity youtuber 🤷‍♀️

From a social anxiety standpoint, ordering in coffee shops is a bit of a nightmare for sufferers (I say from experience 🥲) because a lot of the time it’s so hard to hear the person serving you if the place is busy, especially over the machines, and if you’re already a bit nervous about it (which I know is daft and irrational), it’s easy to get even more flustered and struggle to place your order properly. I can order anywhere else - like at fast food places or bars - but coffee shops are uniquely stressful in that aspect, it’s very odd.

Although I’m horrified to have found one thing I can relate to Ruby with now.

Does anybody else get the sense that Blakeley kind of uses Ruby, too? They never just do things as friends, like meet up in London for a meal, got to the movies, or even shopping. All of which we see Ruby do with her family and other friends. Every time we've seen/heard about Blakeley since Ruby left Exeter, it's been at some big fancy event or expensive trips which is usually part of Ruby's social media 'career', for example, the sponsered social media trip to the Hay book festival. Even then, Ruby seems to end up wandering about alone once Blakeley has found other people to hang around with.

It would be interesting to see how much of this trip Ruby paid for vs how much Blakeley paid for.
I do think that there is a discrepancy in how much they two see one another as friends. I do think that Ruby is someone who would be rather draining to be around and a bit like a puppy, constantly needing to be reassured and praised for things. She would be a rather possessive friend I think, I get that vibe from her.

Blakney comes off as being much more mature and grounded than Ruby, and probably has more friends than Ruby especially since she was out and about in University and she's worked etc. I don't think that Blakney considers Ruby to be her best friend to the extent that Ruby does with her. They lived in student accommodation for a few months together at most due to Ruby going back home due to the covid. Blakney does rather well for herself being friends with Ruby, she got the freebies such as the meal kits when they were in university and goes events in London with her etc as trade off for Ruby copying her notes etc.

Love a nice fake to do list. September 23 is a Friday, so either she’s on one of the many unused pages from 2022, or the new planner is indeed fucked up. Notice she’s planning to prepare for Oxford by reading a summary of The Faerie Queen [sic] as well as two articles on Spenser ”extra”, meaning she’s still not going to be working through the actual reading list 😂🤦

Imagine being a self-proclaimed avid reader who's about to start their Master's degree at Oxford and still not knowing what POV is and how it works. Will she ever learn?
She doesn’t know what words mean but that won’t stop her from using them! The smartest twalve yaarr old around.

I don’t know where she lives (and actually I would like to know because it looks like she lives in the countryside but can easily travel to london?) but I live in Cornwall and for a 15 minute drive you need to pay around £20. How is she able to afford around that every working day twice??
She makes thousands per half-assed video with ad revenue and sponsorship deals, plus the family is swimming in cash thanks to their numerous houses and Daddy Bones' companies and tax dodging. Wasting a week's wages on taxis means nothing to her because she doesn't know the value of money, she just occasionally pretends she's poor because she thinks it'll make her seem relatable.

She wasn't working at the school because she needed to earn money or because she had any genuine interest in doing it, it was just a busywork role to pad her CV for her Oxford application because she had no actual work experience, and she got to spin it as a big important teaching job to her gullible fans.

It's stuff like the taxi situation that make it especially ridiculous when she moans that she can't afford a £20 book or a meal on holiday.

There is worn and shabby and there is just straight up manky. Nobody is expecting them to renovate the house and make it Mrs. Hinch chic. I appreciate a lived in home and don't expect anyone to scrub their floors on their knees every day. Ruby's house isn't upper/middle class dinghy, it's just gross. Sheets and bedding don't get changed for months, sink and the countertops don't get cleaned, lord knows if their dishes would be washed had they not have a dishwasher. They have rotting, disintegrating indoor furniture collecting mold in their garden, there are constantly dead bugs lying about and they seem to think this to be a quirk, rather than concerning lack of basic hygiene habits. Nobody is arsed about a dusty shelf or two, or some dishes in the sink. That house is never cleaned and it shows.

She’s obviously half-inched that recipe from a website so why not just share the link rather than an artistic interpretation? There’s so much missing here it makes my baker’s soul hurt.

What’s the method? I’m assuming you curdle the ‘milk’ (soya? Oat? Almond? Pea? Potato?) with the vinegar but it’d be good to know. Equally do I cream the butter and sugar or just chuck everything in the bowl and hope for the best? Why are the fractions mixed - 2/3 of a cup of butter and 1.25 cups milk? How much vanilla - a teaspoon, a gallon? What size tin and what temperature oven, and for how long? Ok, we all know it‘ll be ‘in the aga until it’s a solid, deep brown, crisp disc that could injure you if dropped‘ but thow us a bone, Rubes. Honestly, if you’re going to present a recipe as your own at least make it make sense. And yes, cakes do have a habit of turning out bad when you don’t follow a method

I was on YouTube during my lunch break and this video popped up -- remember when ruby pretended it was October in July :')
Her voice is so high pitched it literally sounds like a child is speaking. Oh and the best quote is 'I was sad thinking there were no gorgeous autumn colours.. even if I know it is AUGUST' .... I cannot

A whole weekend in the great ourdoors. Wow Ruby you're quite the camper. Why are the digestives damp anyway and that phrase "jumpers worn new with smoke". Sorry but imo she's such a dumb ass she is so much of a try hard. Also if you're camping and playing music the whole time I hope you're camping far from others but I think nor. I can't imagine Rubes and Mama pooing in a hole and covering the offering with dirt. So that being said, unless you're all alone, constant music is disrespectful & annoying.

I'm actually somewhat happy to see Ruby take a taxi to work. I'd like to think her parents sat her down and went "right you're an adult now with a job and it's your responsibility to get there and back"

Do I actually think that happened? No of course not. But it's nice to see Ruby not get driven by her parents as a 23 year old adult who is more than capable of learning how to drive (and tbh should know how to drive by now given that she lives in an area where you really need a car to get around).

In short it's nice to see her somewhat acting like an adult, even just for a split second. But we all know it won't last...shame

Yes, just the same ole, same ole. With a rather panicked explanation of when she uses AI. She definitely reads here. Then again, she lies through her teeth, so I no longer take anything she says seriously. How can we? She's been caught in a thousand lies and scams. Just a bunch of rehashed info and rather outdated when it is all about productivity and then she says her awkward new ending "have more than a productive week". Maybe she can tell us how she will be doing that "more" while she is in Oxford? And after Oxford?

Yeah I presumed that she was going to Geneva straight after Florence too, yet she is back at home so IMO there was no reason for her to pack the extra bag.
The bigger the bag, the bigger the carbon footprint. And why travel from Florence to Geneva when you can travel from Florence, back to the UK, and then to Geneva?

She is already under-prepared compared to students who went through a more rigorous undergraduate degree (like Oxford or Cambridge - I’m not saying those are the only ones, but Ruby’s degree was certainly less rigorous by comparison), and she hasn’t sought to close the gap during her year off. She could have done: it absolutely would have been possible to do sustained independent study in the field. But - as so often said - she isn’t interested.

She must be terrified, deep down. But the longer she puts it off, the worse it will be when she actually starts. She needs to get down to a solid work schedule right away.

I'm so confused about her planner. What is it meant to BE? A planner, a friendship book, a bullet journal, a commonplace book? It's such a mess. And it looks so childish with all those doodles.
How very dare you, she drew all the doodles herself this year! (Presumably to save on costs and inflate her ego.)

Even the Roomba is filthy. I feel terribly sorry for it, I know we were all about free Blakeney but we need to get that poor thing released from its servitude. Free RWOOM-BAH!
Yeah! I was like, those boots are cleaner than the Roomba haha. I wipe mine down with a slightly damp cloth because everything gets a bit dusty where I live. That Roomba needs someone to write in the dust on it #stillcleanerthanyourmum 🤣 (not an attack on anyone's mum, its just something a lot of local people write onto the dusty rear window of their car- I'm living in the Aussie bush rn)
